All I have to say is GROSS!!!
I was pretty shocked myself!
I actually spoke to someone today who told me some of the kids at a low income school in my area share a toothbrush with a sibling and that they were always happy to take donations of toothbrushes. 🙁
Christie – Do you have an address for the school? I have more than enough toothbrushes for my family. I do donate locally, but I venture out when it comes to kids.
I don’t, but my guess is that this probably is more widespread that we think. Trust me until she said that to me yesterday it would have NEVER dawned on me. And then the Reach coupon came out and I read that about people buying one toothbrush a year and I was like wow! I usually take my stuff to the domestic violence shelter. But when I talk to her again – I’ll ask her. 🙂
