I got a $2/1 and Kleenex catalina on a recent trip to Wags. On my next trip, I really needed a box of Kleenex, so I grabbed a box marked $1.99. (Coulda grabbes a much less expensive one for a MM, but didn’t want to make a fuss). The register beeped. The cashier got a manager. They would NOT adjust it down by a penny. I don’t understand why they would give me a Q and then not allow me to use it. The only Kleenex they had at or above $2 was a 3-pack bundle for like $4, so I asked for my Q back, asked her to take off the tissues, paid for the rest of my transaction and blew my nose on a McDonald’s napkin I found in my car. It seems I’m always disappointed when I try to coupon at Wags. I spend a while working up my scenarios to roll big and then they don’t have what I’m there to buy (even if I’m there on Monday) and I end up having to re-work the scenarios on the spot, taking a lot more time out of my day and the service always SUCKS! I had a cashier tell me one day when I was rolling on wipes that the add says there’s a limit and she shouldn’t be allowing me to purchase more than the limit, even if it was in separate transactions, but she would just this time because I’m expecting and it was the holidays—as if I was supposed to thank her for that snotty attitude! Anyhow, what is the official Q policy when it comes to overage? Is it true that they can’t adjust it down or was that just ignorance I experienced the other day with the tissues? CHRISTIE-would you mind replying to the e-mail address I left with the submission?

Michelle – just so you and others know, the coupon policy says they are supposed to adjust the coupon down. It’s just practically none of their staff knows how or knows that they are supposed to do that, not even the managers!
