Remember that if you need something from your local Walgreens, but you’d rather not go inside the store, there are select products available at Walgreens locations with drive thrus. Pull up and ask for a menu of shoppable items, including household goods, cough/cold and pain relief, grocery items, baby formula and medical supplies. Tell us your order (no need to preorder or leave your car), and they will assemble it and get you on your way. Please note that products are subject to availability and quantities may be limited. If you are not going back to Walgreens or have not been going for a couple weeks, any Balance Rewards points previously set to expire 4/1/2020 through 6/1/2020 (earned 4/1/2019 – 6/1/2019) will now expire 6/30/2020. All other points earned outside of this window will continue to expire on a rolling 12-month basis.
Walgreens is also delivering prescriptions for free as soon as the next day via Fedex for eligible items. Orders must be received by 4pm, Monday through Friday. Delivery requests made during the weekend have an expected delivery day of Tuesday or Wednesday. Not all prescriptions are eligible for delivery. These include controlled substances and medications that require refrigeration. Also, some prescription benefit and insurance plans do not allow home delivery.
If you’re in need and don’t want to leave the house, Walgreens is partnering with Postmates. You’ll get delivery the same day on grocery items, personal care products, beverages or snacks. You have to download the Postmates app. There will be a delivery fee. Find out more about it HERE.
