Are these books good buys if you don’t live in a major metropolitan area? I know that, a lot of times, things like this are great in the bigger cities but don’t have many deals for those of us in more rural areas. We have a lot of chain stores and restaurants where we live- would it be worth it?
Just to clarify- The closest city to ours is 2 1/2 hours away. But do the books have coupons for chains that would be good where we live or are they mostly local shops? Sorry, my comment before wasn’t very clear. 🙂
Honestly – I find that it does have some chains but more local deals (at least in my area). If the nearest city is 2 1/2 hours away – I would say it’s hit or miss. For me I can save the cost of the book easily in a month but in your case it’s hard to say. I wouldn’t want you to be disappointed! So I’d say pass.
You can also go to the Entertainment Book website and enter your zip code to find out what kind of coupons are available in your area. Usually, the chain coupons are only good for a specific location
Hey Christie-
How much cash back do you have to accumulate at ShopAtHome before they’ll cut you a check? I’m having trouble finding that on their site – and I guess I’m curious whether I’d actually ever see the cash back. I’ve done some other cashback sites and never seen a check because I never hit the minimum.
Thanks!
$20 for ShopAtHome.com. If you got the $5 from singing up and making the first purchase within 30 days that’s a good start. 🙂
OK, thanks! I don’t do that much online shopping, so it probably wouldn’t be worth it for me. But I bet it’s a great deal for other folks!
I am trying to buy but it keeps rejecting my credit card even though I have tried a couple different cards and they are all good cards. A few other people have mentioned the same problem on their facebook page.
