$10 MIR WYB $25 of Walgreens Products

by Christie Bisbee on March 25, 2011

UPDATE – Wow, this is really varying by store but it seems if you stick to all Diapers you can get it after coupons. That seems to be working for most of you… scenario has been updated!

Starting Sunday March 27th, there will be a $10 Mail in Rebate available when you buy $25+ in participating Walgreens or W products! The rebate form will print out at checkout when you have purchased enough of the qualifying items! This rebate is featured in the NEW April Monthly coupon book that comes out on Sunday.

One deal that leaps to mind it the Walgreens diapers.  The rebate doesn’t specify if it is before or after coupons so we’ll have to wait and see. The Waglreens diapers will be priced at $5.99 starting on Sunday. After the $2/1 coupon in the Infant book that makes them $3.99 a pack, add the Mail in Rebate and that’s a great deal even if it’s after coupons.

If it’s AFTER coupons you could…

BUY
7 – Walgreens Diapers $5.99 EACH
Total = $41.93
-$2/1 W Brand Diapers Jumbo Pack (2844) Infant Care Book (Takes off $12)
= $27.93, Get Back $10 Mail In Rebate
= $17.93 or $2.56 EACH!

If it’s BEFORE coupons you could…

BUY
5- Walgreens Diapers $5.99 EACH
Total = $29.95
-$2/1 W Brand Diapers Jumbo Pack (2844) Infant Care Book (Takes off $8)
= $19.95, Get Back $10 Mail In Rebate
= $9.95 or $1.99 EACH!

This is great! I have so many RR from this week to spend and a rebate would be great. I already have 20 packs of diapers from the last couple of sales, but since I have a newborn and a toddler, I know I will use them.

Christie:
So what happens if we have a raincheck for the b1g1f from the wags diapers from last week or the week before(cannot remember)… how would that deal work out???
I wish we knew if it was before or after coupons… I guess that is something we will have to try..

It’ll depend. Your store will most likely charge you the $8.99 B1G1 FREE price. But you might get super lucky and they’ll charge you $5.99 B1G1 FREE in which case you’d be looking at $1 a pack diapers after the Infant Care Book! That would be amazing! We should know more on Sunday.

Wish I was not one of the unlucky ones that now has to deal with the TEST MARKET crap! I can not get excited about any more wags deals because they seem to crush me every week with there points!

PS I email and write on there FB wall every week and finally got a response this week but it was so generic and lacked any good info!

Most stores that I know of would do the 8.99 price B1G1. I work at Walgreens and we had many people trying to use $.99 rain checks for 4pack AA W Batteries during Black Friday when we had them Buy1Get3 Free. Spend $.99 for 4 packs of batteries? No way 😛

If anyone does this please post ASAP if this is before or after coups.

Thanks so much you early shoppers!!

do you have to do all $25 in one transaction or can it be on multiple receipts?

Reply

Christie March 26, 2011 at 9:21 pm

It says it prints at checkout, so I am pretty sure that would mean you would need to do it in one transaction for it to print.

Where and who has the Walgreens infant care booklet? I live in Plano and all the stores I have been to have no clue about the infant care booklet when I had asked. Please help. I have a newborn and a toddler as well so a great find on diapers would totally be awesome =P

Kat- my Walgreens also did not have the Infant Care Booklet, so I ordered two on ebay for $2. Great deal when you consider all that you will save!

kat March 27, 2011 at 1:18 pm

Thanks Shannon I just might have to look into that. Didn’t cross my mind to check ebay. Thanks again

Just ask your manager to type in the code. My Walgreens is very willing to do that since they never had the books. It works fine, I did it this morning. I have asked them to see if they can get some books, and I took in a scan of the front cover.

Does anyone know if it is before or after the $2 coupon yet to make the $25 limit?

Sarah March 27, 2011 at 11:02 am

Hello all! I was able to buy just the 5 diaper packs and the rebate form printed out! My question now is though, since they did give me the rebate form, even though the final purchase price is less than the $25 they still will give me my rebate correct?

If someone does these deal, please post and let us know if it’s before or after coupons. I would like to stock up on Diapers. Thanks so much!

Other sites are reporting the $10 mail-in rebate does not print out either way you do the transaction (meaning before or after coupons)

Sunday Morning:
Just did the diaper deal- rebate for W brand items:
Got the rebate to print after coupon use came to $21.00- makes a better deal!

Bought 5 diapers on sale for 5.99= 29.95
Used Infant Care Booklet- took off 10.00 total (2.00 per pack @ 5 packes)
Paid: ~21.00 with tax
Will submit 10.00 rebate to make 5 packs of diapers = $11.00

Only two rebates per house allowed. Did this deal twice!

Jane March 27, 2011 at 2:03 pm

I just did the same deal with 5 packs at $5.99 minus the coupon and received the $10 mail in rebate.

Leigh March 27, 2011 at 4:13 pm

Mine printed when I bought 5. Five Diapers at .$5.99 = $29.95

I also bought 3 newspapers as fillers ($4.50 ) My cashier just typed in the Wags Q code from the baby book – #2844 it took off $10.00 and used $20 worth of RR to pay.
OOP was $6.48 for 5 diapers and 3 newspapers.
Tax was $2.53

Mine also says Limit one per household.

Woo Hoo cheap diapers for my niece and her new baby!! Thanks to all you deal seekers I have stockpiled her in diapers size N – 4 now for I swear less than $50. I love this hobby.

According to the $10 mail in rebate form, there is a limit of (1) rebate per household or address except in RI (Rhode Island)where there is a limit of (2) per household or address

I did this deal at my Wags (Tulsa) this morning…rebate would NOT print when I bought only 4 pkgs diapers & wipes refill. ($25 before Qs). It DID print when I bought 6 pkgs. diapers & wipes refill($25 after Qs). (My Wags had Wags baby wipes refills for $1.79.)

On 6 pkgs: WAG Q savings: 12.00
Wag ad savings: 18.00
Rebate savings: 10.00
Total savings: 40.00

My rebate says “Limit 1 Walgreens Brand rebate per household between 3/27/11 – 4/30/11.” (My Wags had Wags baby wipes refills for $1.79.)

Just did this transaction in southwest Missouri. Tried it with just 4 packages of diapers and another W product and the MIR did not print. Tried it again with 5 packs of diapers only and the rebate DID print. Each time, I used the Infant Care q. Neither time was the after q total above $25. The manager and I believe it was because the only items “participating” in the promotion are those pictured in the April booklet. My first transaction included an item that was not pictured and my diaper total was not high enough. MIR says one per household, except RI two per household.

I had a rain check for when the diapers were on BOGO so I used that rain check this week. I did:
2/$2.50 Wipes = $5.00
10 Jumbo Diapers @ $5.99 = $60
-BOGO Sale = $30
-$4 Wags Wipes Peelies
-$20.00 for Infant Care Book
=$11.37 Total
Paid $10 with Almay RR
Paid $1.37 OOP (tax and left over)
The rebate printed fine for me. I hope this makes sense

I just did this deal with (3) packages of Diapers and (3) wipes refills. I had the $2 off diaper coupon and I also had (3) of the $2 off diapers and wipe peelie coupon that is on the wipes.

The rebate did not print!! I was told it is because only certian walgreens items are included in the rebate offer and the refill wipes are not included.

The big packages of the wipe refills are which are priced at $4.99 at my store.

But it is before coupons for the rebate, I hope this helps everyone!

My hubby and I bought only 4 packs of diapers and one pack of wipes and with the $2 coupon it brought us under the $25, the rebate didn’t print, so the manager printed one off from the office for both of us, so I’m hoping we will still get the $10, we will see!

I tried to do this deal by buying some W brand pull ups too and it seemed to not work for that reason. (Maybe the training pants are not included?) I bought 4 pkgs diapers (using the $2Q) and 2 pkgs pull ups and no rebate. The manager thinks it was from me using the Q so he rang up several packages of diapers and got me the rebate certificate and gave it to me anyway. My rebate certificate says only 1 per household though. Still worked out to $2.99 a package (since I bought the pull ups)

Christie, Thank you so much for posting all these great deals. You really have saved me hundreds of dollars since I found your blog. I’ve been couponing a little over a year and I’m still blown away by the savings. I just did the diaper deal and was able to use the Friends and Family discount. I even told the cashier it excluded diapers and she said it would work so we tried it. I bought 6 packages of diapers for 4.79 each and then the Wags coupoon took off 9.60 because it discounted 20% as well. I used some RR from previous transactions and paid $9.29 including tax! I will submit for the $10 rebate. The total I spent oop today was $18.10 and got so much for my money.
