Hallmark Card $2.06 Money Maker!

by Christie Bisbee on December 7, 2010

After having no success on Sunday with the Hallmark card deal I finally hit the jackpot! These donation/in memory cards are priced at $.49 and produce the $5 Register Reward WYB (6).

I didn’t want to purchase (6) of these so I mixed them up with several of the $.99 Christmas cards. I was able to get the Christmas cards I wanted for a super price! So here are a few ideas…

Buy
6 – Donation in Memory Cards $.49 each
Total = $2.94
Get Back $5 RR = $2.06 MONEY MAKER!

Or you could do what I did…

Buy
4 – Hallmark Cards $.99
2 – Donation in Memory Card $.49 Each
Total = $4.94
Get Back $5 RR = FREE Hallmark Cards (and you make $.06)

When you try the transaction and it doesn’t product the RR do you just have the manager give you a refund? My Wags is not very friendly so didn’t know the best way to see if the items produce the RR. I’m also in the test market area too.

Thank you so very much for the picture of the $0.49 card. I have been very curious about what I am looking for!

Thanks for not buying all the Memory Cards. Seems like it would be bad Karma to buy these up, especially this time of year when people want to remember their loved ones.

Has anyone tried the 0.49 kids cards to see if they work? I did the 0.99 cards at my store with no problem but was wondering about the 0.49 ones.

what section are the memory cards located??? I looked in the sympathy section, and didn’t find any.

Astrid, if your store has them, they are usually in the sympathy section. Usually on the bottom row. Not all stores have them.

When you buy the $0.99 cards, are they the holiday greeting ones? Or will birthday cards also ring up the RR? I asked an employee yesterday, and she said only the greeting cards will give the RR. Not sure if she was just guessing though…

I found 1 store that had them & 3 stores that did not. But I did find some $.89 cards that worked.

this is a great deal! Could we use the Hallmark $5 off of minimum $5 found in magazines to get free cards & $5rr?

I tried buying 2 .99 cent cards to get the RR and it did not work- the silly manager told me it was because you had to use them on the Christmas card packs! Ahhh they were 10 dollars- no way! It is not in the ad that way!

Kristen – I had issues when I just bought 2 on Sunday. Try buying (6) and see if that works. I have a sneaking suspicion that some stores are programmed as B3G $2 RR.

Patty – I think the Hallmark Q is for the Hallmark store. I used mine there already so I don’t have it in front of me but double check.

at my store all the signs said buy 3 get $2 rr or buy 6 and get $5 rr.

Maria December 8, 2010 at 7:10 am

That’s odd, the ad (at least in our area KC) said buy 2 get $2 RR. Usually the hallmark RR aren’t regional. But at iheartwags, they were saying that it was buy 3 get $2RR.

Does anyone have any idea of a good place to donate the donation in memory cards? Is that even possible?

Maria December 8, 2010 at 5:15 pm

Stephanie, maybe a funeral home? Someone said in a different post that some funeral homes have them for free. So, they may take it off your hands.

Stephanie – I agree with Maria. Or you could take them to a church.

Thanks for the picture! It helped to know what I was looking for. Great news—I was able to find these at my WAGS!
