I get a lot of questions about what coupons can be redeemed at different stores and the differences between a coupon that says “Available At” and one that says “Only At”.
So for example, these are two current coupons.com coupons, I saw at zip 30303. They are a perfect example of two different scenarios where a coupon has a store name on it.
The LaCroix coupon says “Available at Walmart”, however it’s a manufacturer’s coupon and is valid at ANY store. I love that they even added the “Coupon is valid anywhere 12pks are sold”, to make it very clear. I hope more coupons will start to include this to make it easier on all of us! Ultimately your store can accept or deny a coupon for any reason, but this coupon can be used anywhere.
The Diet Coke coupon on the other hand clearly states “Redeem only at Publix”. This coupon happens to be a store coupon, but even if it were a manufacturer’s coupon, you can not use it at any other store. The word ONLY is a clear indication that to use the coupon property it must be used at the store indicated. Hope that helps! 🙂

So in the above scenario, would the Diet Coke Q be eligible for stacking at Publix being it is truly a store Q?
yes – you could stack it with a MQ – like the ones for Recyclebank for example.
But, our Walgreen’s will not take it, even if it is a manufacturers coupon, if it has another store name on it.
Like I said in my post – it’s ultimately up to the store manager at your specific store.
Thanks Christie, you’re the best!
Hi Christie 🙂 There are a slim number of other stores that will accept a coupon that says “Redeem ONLY at so-and-so.” Jewel Osco (Chicagoland area) even has it written into their coupon policy 🙂 Of course these stores are the exception, and not the rule, but you gotta love super coupon friendly stores like that!
Yes, I agree. I wouldn’t even attempt to use a coupon that said “ONLY at” at a different store, unless they actually had it in their policy. Wish I had a Jewel Osco! 😉
The Diet coke q, could be used at Walmart, if it prints out MQ and has only at Publix, because Walmart will take competitors qs, just not “store” qs such as Target qs that say Target Store at the top of their qs.:)
I hope they start doing that with all the coupons, saying that they are good anywhere, even though they say Available at Walmart, etc. Then the cashier and manager can’t argue with us!
