ABOUT ME & WILDFORWAGS.com
Welcome! I hope you’ll find some valuable information here on stretching your dollar when shopping at my favorite pharmacy, Walgreens. As for me, I spent eleven years as a financial educator, certified by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. I taught a variety of classes covering such topics as improving your credit, saving for retirement, buying your first home, getting out of debt, saving on groceries and more.
I realized that many of my clients were spending a high percentage of their income on basic necessities. If I could help them lower their costs they would have additional money to put towards their debt. So I decided to create my own site (wildforwags.com – Walgreens coupons & Walgreens Deals) dedicated to helping them save at Walgreens.
I’m also a licensed Realtor in the state of Florida. I’m actively involved with various community organizations serving as a volunteer mentor with my local Domestic Violence Shelter and volunteering with my local for Habitat for Humanity.
I’m a graduate of the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Communications and Political Science and a proud alumni of the Kappa Kappa Gamma organization.

Hi Christy,
I read about you and it says you reside in Florida. I thought you were in Hawaii? Where are you? I thought you also give classes about couponing here?
Please advise.
Thank you,
Dawn
Hi Dawn,
No, I’m in Florida. I’ve never been to Hawaii but it sounds delightful! ๐
What part of Florida??
shucks, it would be nice to see a mentor in hawaii so we can follow the scenarios to a t and it will work. Our prices are different here. I wish we had more sales like you folks and even our other grocery stores are not as good with sales. I like your site and there are others I check out but it spend alot of time because I need to keep double checking the prices and our inserts are always lacking. Any suggestions. Do you order your coupons from the clipping services on Thursday or Friday since WAGS has their sneek peaks? Any tips would be greatly appreciated so I can free up some time…
Thanks again
I’m a couponer living in Hawaii and although I reside here and your deals are for Floridas prices, it still works here in Hawaii. The prices are usually about a dollar more than the prices advertised in your deals. I love how you break everything down. I followed your Tums, Crest Mouthwash and Colgate deal and tweaked it to get me some old spice deodorants and proglide razors. My total before taxes, coupons, and register rewards was $114.77. After coupons, and register rewards, my out of pocket was $34 and some change, and I still have a $3 RR to use on my next run. Saved $80 which is REALLY good for Hawaii. Thank you for all your tips and scenarios. I find them very helpful.
Lei
Thank you Lei! I have heard that Hawaii is more expensive for just about everything but what a wonderful place to live! Maybe I can visit one day. ๐
What a nice pic! Love the coupon binder ๐
Hi Christie,
I recently started a blog and I love your site. I have your button on my blog but I was wondering what the proper etiquitte for sharing your scenarios on my blog. Do I reference your blog, and is that ok?
I am so glad I found you! Thanks for the Wild Wags Tips I just now stumbled across your website in 2011, and love it! ๐
I went to my Wags today bought Colgate toothpaste on clearance for .49 cents each I did buy 7…what a great deal, they also had lots of icecream on clearance.I feel so good when I save money.
Hi Christy,
I live on the North Coast and have always used coupons and I’m enjoying learning how to use them even more than I ever knew, i.e., stacking, bogo, cash rewards, etc. This is fun and exciting but my friend and I have noticed that the cashiers are getting attitude problems with us when we hit the store. Walgreens isn’t the only place we got attitudes from, and one local market has banned internet coupons in their store altogether. Any advice on how to get these people to stop acting like it’s money coming out of their own paychecks?
Is that a binder you’re holding in your picture? If so I’d love to know where to find one like that.
Hi Melinda – Yes it is! You can check them out HERE.
Hi,
I have the same exact coupon binder ๐ and soo far I like it. I holds a lot of coupons…I just started couponing abt a month ago, but I put a lot of work into it my very fist months…now i got the hang of it and loving it!
i tried to contact you through you’re Contact page, but it comes up blank (tried on a couple different computers) I found a great deal on something at Walgreens with this weeks ad, but not sure where to post it. Where do you prefer things like that go?
Hm, I thought I fixed that. Oh, the site is never done! You can e-mail me at christie (at) wildforwags.com
Hey Christie…I couldnt wait for a reasonable hour to head to my Wags for this weeks deals! thanks to your awesome site…I was actually able to “educate” the store managers and cashier about the deals this week…(Splenda & Stayfree)Anyway…I noticed that you maintain a page for clearance items. I found Skintimate Shave Gel marked down to $0.75…I used my Skintimate $0.55/1 and scored 4 for $0.80 plus tax!! Yay!
Really cool information, thanks!
Just wanted to share that the little $1.00 boxes of cereal (capt crunch and honey Graham oh’s) are .25 but not marked that way. Add in a q for $1 (redplum or smart source) off of 2 any size cap’t crunch and you make .25 on each box you buy.
Hi Christi, my name is Denise and am new to couponing-I would like to ask a questions about coupons in general-hope you can help. Can I use a buy one oldspice bodywash get one free(I was planning on using 3)along with a 1.00 off two oldspice body wash(I was planning on using 1)??? 6 body washes and 4 coupons-or do I have this couponing thing all wrong??? Thanks for your help I am on your site daily without fail!!! Love, love, love it!
Hi Christie…I am new to couponing and also live in S. Florida. I read your article in the Palm Beach Post today and would like to get some tips on couponing in the real world with our local Publix, Walgreens and CVS. Thanks in advance for any help in the matter..!!!!!
thank you Christie for all your help! I have saved hundreds of dollars following your scenarios. you are one busy gal!
thanks for all you do ๐ Tonya
Hi,
I just wanted to send you a BIG Thank you for your Walgreens scenarios! I am having so much fun doing this and saving lots of money! My friends are begging me to show them how.
Thanks again and enjoy your weekend!
Dawn
Seattle, WA
I read your post today about a giveaway to FBFans, but I haven’t been able to find you. May you point me in the right direction? I would really like to be involved in the discussion. Thank you!
If a coupon expires say with today’s date on it-can it be used today?
It states you started couponing to pay off debt, well about a month and a half ago I started the same. My 1 year old has has many surgeries in his first year, one being open heart surgery, so the medical bills, even after insurance are just overwhelming. Couponing has started to help a lot in this short period, but do you have any other pointers to help? Any extra advice would be appreciated greatly!!
Thank you so much for your blog! It is such a little rush to know how much I am saving and how much you are helping! You are appreciated greatly in this household…and I have told MOST my friends about you as well!
Hi Christie,
Im not sure what part of florida you are in, but I think I remember reading you are south, and I see you had an article in the palm beach post, I am also in palm beach, and looking to donate and get involved with the commmunity, but cannot seem to find many places. If you know of anywhere to donate items too and volunteer around palm beach I would greatly appreciate the help. Who knew it was so difficult to find a place to volunteer or donate.
Christie,
I read on someones blog this week about a $10 Ensure rebate but didn’t have time then to check it out. They gave credit to you, now I have no idea where i saw it. Can you tell me where to find the rebate info?
Thank you
Lisa, you can read about it below…
https://wildforwags.com//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////walgreens-deals/2011/06/21/free-money-making-ensure-mail-rebate/
I am looking for the bogo for stayfree do you know where i can find it at.
my walgreens says all monthly booklets, summer beauty guides and infant care booklets are manufacturer coupons and cannot be combinded, is that correct or should i call corporate? Any advice is appreciated.
They are wrong. They are store coupons. I stack them every week. Hope you get them straightened out!
i had one 8 rr that i wanted to use for a few items but the walgreens said i can only use it for one item, is that correct?
My Walgreens had the same sign posted for the Skintimate Shave cream but it was $4.69.
Hi Christie!
How are the bonus buys working at Wags that I see in the online weekly ads at iheartwags.com? Are there signs in the stores or do you just have to know what the deals are and the discounts will show up at the registers? Thanks!
It depends how good your store is about putting up signs. They should ring up the sale price at the register. I usually have the ad up on my phone just in case ;).
christine i have a problem with when to put fillers in and i always try to have at these 2 coupons for idem but it says one for each idem but than they say u can stack i get confused at wal-greens please help.
You can stack a Walgreens coupon and a Manufacturers coupon, but not two manufacturers coupons. Also if a coupon is $1/2 – then it counts towards both items, not just one. So that might be causing issues too. Maybe read my frequently asked questions page for some more help. ๐
You can see that below…

I have found some great clearance deals at Walgreens. How do I send them to you to post and share?
you can just email me a picture and what you got.
christie @ wildforwags.com (take out the spaces :))
Hi, i posted this on your page, but would like to know if i could share your deals with my group on facebook, we just started and would love to be able to keep up on it all:)
Thanks
Shauna
If you want to post links from her on your group page you can absolutely do that! Thanks for sharing! ๐
Hi, Christie.
Wal-green seems to upgrade rebate submmision and I don’t know how?
If you can explain how, that will be a great help.
Thanks always.
Ann.
Hi Christie! I was super busy when the Balance Rewards program started and now I am behind.. I just got my card a few days ago. Can you explain how it wor*s? I couldn’t find a section on your site with the rules and whatnot.
Do we pay less cause of the pts, do we use them somehow, why do we get RR and pts?
Help!
How come the tabs aren’t updated? When you click on a tab at the top, it takes you to January; or am I doing it wrong?
Which Tab are you clicking on? Could be a glitch I need to fix because you should see current stuff.
Hi Christie, I just wanted to let you know I LOVE your website! Thanks for sharing!!
I really enjoy reading the tips, you post, on saving money! Thanks so much for all the valuable info you include about how to maximize savings at Walgreens. I have learned how to use the register rewards and manufacturer coupons more effectively, with your help. Thanks again for your great info. ๐
Hi Christie! Need some help with the $2 off $10 catalina print. Do I use that coupon first if I have others? I’m wanting to buy 4 of the U by Kotex and I have 2 of the $2 off 2 coupons and I have the Wags coupon. I want to make sure I get everything in the correct order. Thanks for your help!
Yes give the $2 coupon first – Because of the Wags coupon only $1.99 from each U by Kotex will go towards the $10 because it’s after Wags Qs. So keep that in mind. You’d need to buy (5) U by Kotex and a highlighter for 19ยข or something to hit the $10.
Hi,
Love your site. As a SBA for Walgreens I would like to let you know that many (but not all) Beauty Advisors have coupons for cosmetic dept. items at the Cosmetic Register. Many of us clip them each week so we can offer our customers a good deal.
I work at a walgreens and just wanted to let you know that coupons such as the 5,000 points when you spend $20 dollars or more, can be used once per transaction, but when it says store coupon on the top and it doesnt say one per person, you can use it as many times as you want if you do more than one transaction. you could do tons of transactions if you spend more than $20 on each! customers dont seem to know this but it’s important for us couponers! as long as it says “store coupon” on top, it can be used as much as an in-ad coupon. Get those good deals, love your site!
i just had a couponing issue of course of Walgreens i told that they are no longer taking printed coupons and that i could not use the coupon any way on the dial soap special BIGI since i was already getting them free i told the cashier when did they stop taking printed coupons she was unable to answer my questions so i told her then cancel may transaction of course cashier with an attudude. manger came and had to cancel transaction i also asked him about the no printed coupon he said due to many people using fake coupons we are no longer taking them. have you heard anything about this new issue with Walgreens?????
Hi Christie, I had a great shopping trip today at Walgreens and was pleasantly surprised to see that $1.79 was deducted from my total under coupons and it said mfg. coupon beside it. In my long list of purchases were 3 bags of Lay’s chips on sale for $1.99 which I thought was a great price. I was just on Walgreens.com and found out that you can choose from coupons on their site and link them to your Balance Rewards card so this is what I did, but I ended up getting a larger amount off than I thought it would be. It was worth the few minutes that it took to look at them and choose. Just wanted to let others know of one more way to save at Walgreens!
Double dip Saturday 4/19 for Almay cosmetics. Monthly sales and BOGO for 50% off.
Hi Christie: I am speaking at a Home School conference in Southern California in June with another home school friend. Our topic is Frugal Living. May I site your blog during the conference? We will be listing all the resources that have helped us both to actually live a frugal lifestyle, stay out of debt, live on one income and home school.
I’d be honored! ๐ And congrats on the opportunity to share how you are able to do all of that!
Thanks for all your wisdom. It just seems to be getting more difficult to check out at Walgreens. Tonite, their mistakes were just outrageous, and even simple coupons were working on their system and they had to force them. But I want to ask you where in the Rewards Points program they are stating that the amount spent is after manufacturing coupons cuz I can’t find that. I bought $21 of Schick Razors/cartridges and used a $10 coupon. I didn’t get the 5000 points for spending over $20. I see other people confused about this on comments, and have called and corporate gave them their points. What do you know on this, as I’ve read their pdf and nothing is stated. Thanks. (Thankfully in Milwaukee we have a Sentry store that allows double coupons with only restriction that you can’t use more than two of one item. So nice to check out without all these crazy layers of points and coupons.)
Meant to say even simple coupons WEREN’T working on their register. The Renuzit B3/G3 had to be manually maneuvered. Took forever.
I don’t know how to do this— by 1 Colgate get 1.50rr , buy one mouthwash get1.25rr, what u do about this 2 RR —reader Candace Barnard
I have been told on 2 different occasions that I cannot use all of my balance rewards points in one trans w/ or w/o qs. Ex. I had 2 scrubbing bubbles 2/$6 (get 1000 bal rewards pts), I had 12000 pts on my card but wanted to use a $1.49 rr and the difference 4.50 w/ my bal rewards. I was told I could only use $3.00 bal rewards and had to use cash for the difference. Is this true?
You can use them in specific increments – $1, $2, $3, $5, $10 and up from there. Keep in mind if you use $3 of points on that deal you won’t get points back.
From another deal site, someone wrote the following:
“If you are an AARP member, and you buy at least $15 or more of Walgreens branded health and/or wellness products, your purchase might/should trigger a mail-in form printout at checkout good for 1 year of AARP membership, compliments of Walgreens.”. S/he bought
Do you know anything about this promotion?
Answer my own question. The offer is page 58-59 in the Aug coupon book.
What does (REDEEMABLE AT WALMART) on the Lindsay Olive coupon mean? Will Walgreens redeem it?
As long as it does’t say ONLY my stores will take it.
The ad for the St. Louis, MO area this week has booster points, 50 points per dollar, ONLY if $30.00 or more is spent! I called corporate and was transferred to Balance Rewards, where the woman knew only about the 5,000-pont deal, put me on hold & after several minutes explained that Walgreens had four different booster deals this week, & my areaโs market was just unlucky enough to be the one with the worst “offer”. I let them know that there are several Walgreen blogs that let shoppers know of deals, so we know when they are favoring one area over another & the only thing that this creates is ticked-off customers, not reliable consumer information. She did say that I can go online & change my zip code on my account and get the 5,000 points with a $30.00 online purchase, so I thought I’d let you know.
Wow, well aren’t you smart! I think I will give that a shot. ๐
Hello: Christie. Under what zip code can I find the coupon for, Pepperidge Farm Swirl bread. The zip that you have listed is too short. Thanks Jennifer.
Thanks for letting me know Jennifer! My little program likes to ignore the #0 when it’s in front – since in anything but a zip code it would serve no purpose. So whenever you see that (if one slips past me like this one did) just add a 0 to the front. Thanks! ๐
Hi Christy, Is there any explanation for a repeating problem printing coupons? I just chose 28 coupons to print from this site. Up popped that nasty direction to give my mobile phone number to them ( no way to tell where this goes) in order to get a “code” to give back to them to allow printing of these coupons. This was my go-to site to not have to deal with this. Now this site has it too. You are given option of installing the coupon printer for Coupons.com. I’ve tried this and nothing happens. No coupons! Why is this “thing” there? If these companies want their coupons printed, why make it impossible?
It’s going to happen to you anytime you go to print coupons.com coupons. They are just trying to crack down on fraud. There is usually a little fine print on the bottom with a link for “I don’t have a cell phone”. Try clicking that. If that doesn’t work, anytime you go to print coupons.com coupons from anywhere – it’s going to be either get the code or don’t print coupons. Nothing I or anyone else can do about it.
I’m planning a Walgreen;s trip tomorrow to do a $50 shop using my points. For thelifeof me I cannot remember which way I can still earn more points when using points. Is it the B3G $$ points or buy $20 and get points? THANKS for your help.
Hi Beverly! You can pay with points on deals that are buy a quantity of product and earn points, and you’ll still earn those points. You cannot use points for deals that require a threshold amount to be reached in order to earn points. For example this week you can use points to pay for Pantene and still earn points. You cannot use points to pay for Tide/Pamper/Charmin PG deal.
Hi Christie!
I used to be subscribed to your emails, but my email was hacked and I had to get a new one. Can you please tell me how to subscribe to your emails again with my new email address??
Hi Christie,
Used wild4wags.com a bunch today, just wanted to say thanks. Also used it in store, nice touch with the option for a simplified version of the website on my phone. wild4wags is all class!!
Sincerely,
Ajay
Cant print my coupons out . It keeps telling me to try again. or contact. support. Cant get logged in to report. It tell me code 343. Can anyone help
You rarely mention it when Walgreens puts Quaker Oats Oatmeal squares (boxed cereal) on sale for 2 for $5.00 — but that is truly an incredible bargain price! Check it out at other retailers and you’ll see that price is 50% off at Walgreens when they run this sale. I like this cereal because it’s an easy on-the-go snack or cereal – no need for milk. And I often buy 2 just to donate to the food bank. Please, please note it when it’s on sale for 2 for $5. Try it – you’ll like it!
Just a heads up!
Dove Body Washes $1.93 Each!
CVS Deals (Thru 4/27)
Buy (2) Dove Body Wash, $7 Sale Price
$5/2 Dove or Dove Men+ Care Bar or Body Wash Products. Excludes Trial or Travel Sizes exp. 5/4/24 Clip2card
Total = $9, Get back 14ยข cash rewards
+ $5 RR for buying two
= $1.93 each
I know you run both sites wildforcvs and this one. I think you have the wrong title for this weeks deal on Dove- You have it as a CVS deal when it should be a Walgreens deal.
oops!
