No, Walgreens does not allow overage on Manufacturer coupons.

ALL Walgreens should adjust the coupon downward. This is part of the Walgreens coupon policey listed on their website. Carry a copy of the Walgreens coupon policy with you at all times. If the manager refuses to do this file a complaint on the website and it won’t be a problem later. Walgreens takes complaints VERY seriously. I used to have a problem with a manager at one of my Walgreens. I filed complaints on the corporate website and I don’t have ANY problems with my coupons at this location anymore. I am with you Laura, I filed a complaint and talked to the store manager at a location where I was having problems with the Asst Manager (regarding coupons)…. I found out yesterday he was transferred to another store for “re-education”.

I had a problem last week at a walgreens where the cashier told me they don’t take bogo coupons on bogo deals I said it in the coupon policy she said yes we have a paper we don’t follow it because we have to pay you to take the product I said what the items is on sale for 5.99 for both items and the coupon is for 5.99 so I still pay sale tax she said we pay you so I stay right the and told her I was calling the customer service she said ok and my mom was next in line she skip her and help the lady behind her saying she was next in line I talk to customer service they sid they don’t have to follow the policy I said why do you have a policy then they said it was just a guide line if the need or want to follow it I told them I would pay it and return to a walgreen that wold follow the policy they said that was fine and some distirct manger would call in 48 hour just the store manger call after my mom return to a different store and told them what happen the manger told my mom she woul call the other store right away because the cashier was wrong and rude
Funny, when I printed the coupon network yourbucks offer for this, it didn’t list Wags. Just logged in and it still says “Available at: Copps Food Center , Cub Foods , Hy Vee Food Store , Piggly Wiggly Market ” Double-checked my account and I still have 2 Wags in my store list. oh well

Does this work on kids toothbrushes?
How new is this? I bought 6 last week @ .99 each add just got a coupon for $ 2.50 of my next reach toothbrush purchase.
On another note my youngest brother worked for Wags for six years, all the stores he worked in were and still are great about the coupon policy because the employees use them too.

Save those. Wags will mark those down to $1.98/2.
2.50/2 coupon cannot be used on 2 toothbrushes – it says “items cannot be duplicated”. But if you can find a cheap Reach floss you can use it on toothbrush and floss.

The $2.50/2 coupon is confusing. So, you don’t have to buy Listerine, then a toothbrush or floss. You just have to buy 2 different products, right?
There is also a similar $1.50/2 coupon from 1/9 SS.

They have the cheapy reach floss for $.99. At many stores you could buy 4 floss and 4 brushes, use (3) of the $2.50/2 Qs, pay $.42 and get the $4 RR.

This catalina definitely isn’t working at my walgreens. I bought 4 and only got a catalina advertisement on it for another reach promotion (with last year’s dates on it — weird) but no $4 RR 🙁
I did this deal twice at my local Walgreens. The cashier adjusted my coupons down to 99 cents each, I paid tax, and got a $4 RR each time 🙂
I just purchased 4 toothbrushes at 2 different local Walgreens. I did not have any coupons, but I did have a $4 RR from the Colgate toothpaste, so I just added a candy bar and used that. I paid only tax and 35 cents for the candy bar and I received the $4 Reach RR at both stores!! YAY!! 🙂

I almost fainted when the cashier said she would adjust down the coupons since I usually have issues with that. I’ve been crossing my fingers for a nice MM because I need to get my daughter some swim diapers for the summer. I’ll get them free next week 🙂

Yes! That’s exactly the problem I had. Don’t know what to do about it. I still got 4 free toothbrushes so it’s not that big of a deal but it’s still disappointing.

I just did this deal several times in a row at my Walgreens in Central Florida – worked like a charm. They had the toothbrushes near the makeup counter.

I live in southern Wisconsin. The three Wags I tried today were out of the 99-cent toothbrushes, but the shelf tags said they’d be on sale until the end of the month. However, I checked in on Coupon Network and it said that the offer is available at two grocery chains in my area – it didn’t list Wags.

You need to buy three to get 2.00 rr or buy five to get 4.00 rr. Coupon is beeping since q is for two dollars off of two. They are not adjusting and fillers don’t work unless it’s for reach
I live in Indianapolis and went to the Wags at 38th & Post. I purchased (12) Crystal Clean Reach toothbrushes on sale for $.99 each and used (12) $1 MFQs that were each adjusted down. I paid $.84 total (tax only) for all (12) and received $12 RR.

I tried it yesterday too in the Chicagoland area and the second $2/2 coupon I had beeped but the cashier adjusted it down. Got 4 toothbrushes for just the tax and the $4RR.
The deal is working in the Ohio (Cincinnati) area. Reach Floss is also .99 cents so it’s a good filler to use the $2.50/2 coupon on (luckily I had 4 of them so I could get the $4 RR).
I am in the Cincy area and the RR advertisement that printed out was for 2010 & the manager was unaware of the RR deal….Where in Cincy did it work?

We have 3 stores and it worked in 2 of them and not in the other. The one it didn’t work in printed out an offer saying “Buy REACH Toothbrushes Between 6/1/10 and 6/24/10 and SAVE up to $4.00 On a future order with coupon”. I find this funny since we are in 2011. I still got the toothbrushes free though. 🙂
Is there a limit on how many RRs you can get, or will you have to do each deal in a separate transaction?

It worked for me here in south texas! My cashier didn’t adjust my Q’s down though…. it just took the 4 cents off the cheap nail polish I got. I got the $4 RR plus it printed out a $3/1Q for glade sense & spray! Yay me!

just returned from a trip at walgreens and to my suprise they had a $2.00 off one tape to each toothbrush they were .99 cents each. I purchased 10 using 5 of the $2.00 off one coupon and saved the rest for another store. I live in Columbus, Georgia. The RR did also print. I recieved two 4.00 RR
Live in northwest indiana (near chicago) and bought only two toothbrushes (had two 1/1… I figured if rr didn’t print, I could at least get two free toothbrushes) and printed out 1 rr. So guess its working!! Also, just like to say, I had the NICEST cashier today (not the usual wags i go to)… she actually allowed me to overages (though i know thats not in their policy) and was very friendly and helpful. Just wanted to comment on that since i know alot of cashiers at wags aren’t exactly the nicest. Gonna write in the website to compliment her! (Of course i wont mention the overage part!)

I had the same awesome experience the past two weeks at my Walgreens as well. The managers and cashiers have been so friendly and helpful 🙂 I did call the manager at my store when I got home last week to say thank you. He was so relieved to here a comliment rather than a complaint.

I got the deal yesterday (5/17) at Oswego in front of JCP. I had to add a caramel for .35 to make up the difference. I didn’t know they could’ve marked the coupon down to .99 instead of 1.00. I bought 4 toothbrushes and used two $2/2.

Hi i have a question but I don’t know where to post it so hopefully someone on here can help me. I live in SoCal and i am new at this whole couponing thing. I have saved alot of money so far and i feel like i am getting a bit better each time i take a shopping trip. So today i went to walgreens they have 3 old spice body wash for $7 after RR,so anyway i gave them three BOGO coupons thinking i would get 6 for $7 but instead it turned out to be 3 for only 98 cents plus i got a $3 RR. So ofcourse it was such agreat deal i bought 3 more and did the same thing again:) Only problem is i have no clue how it worked out like that so i wouldn’t know how to do it again??? The old spice bogo coupons were valued up to $5.99 I think. Looks like they gave you the full $5.99 back per coupon even though you only paid $3.33 per bottle. Sounds like the cashier made a mistake. She should’ve only credited you back $3.33 per bogo coupon. That’s why you couldn’t figure out how that happened. Look at your receipt and you should be able to see what came off. Hope that makes sense.

Worked in Florence, KY. I bought 8 Reach toothbrushes at .99 each. I had 4 $2.50/2 so that gave me $2.08 overage which was applied to the other items I bought. I received one $4 RR. I think if I split this up in two orders I would have received another $4 RR. I’m new to couponing so I was extremely pleased!

Live in Anderson Indiana and I didnt have any coupons but bought 4 and got the $4RR then used the reward towards my next trip. I did this 3 times this week and no problems extra toothbrushes come in handy around here for cleaning and when my kids have friends come stay and they forgot theirs!!!!
