Hello, I have a question for you on a coupon. Last night I used a coupon for Coffe-Mate creamer $1/3 and the cashier said that it counted as 3 coupons so I had to quickly get a filler to use all the coupons I wanted to to complete my purchase. Is this correct?

Teresa – Very possibly. Those types of coupons often attach to 3 items so if you tried to use a RR on top of that they’d beep.

I have a question… every blog site says that the Walgreens coupons that come in the booklets are store coupons but my store says they are Manufacturers and won’t let me stack them. They do say manufacturer coupons them but it says manufacturer only good at Wags… I’m so confused

I went to walgreens last night with my $3 IVC and $3 man. veet coupon and they told me only one coupon per item. What?!

Why wouldn’t you use 4 $2/1 Ecotrin and it would be a money maker?

Sarah – Because the registers at Wags do not allow overage unless the overage is produced by an IVC. (Occasionally the P&G Qs will allow overage but 99% of MQ will not).

Lisa – if you buy (2) @ $7 – use 2 coupons for $1/1 that makes it $5. Scan the $2/1 Wags Q it will take off $4 (I per package). That makes it $1 or $.50 each.

How do you get the Kotex down to $.50 each? If I use one $2 WAGS IVC coupon, a $1 off and $1.50 off coupon that brings the total down to $3 for 2 from $7 for 2. Can you use 2 instant value coupons? These say one coupon per customer per offer.
Thanks

Thanks Christie. One more quick question. On the B1G1 free sales, does WAGS typically allow the use of 2 coupons? I don’t remember and want to avoid any hassles. My store has always been good to work with and I have few issues unlike others. Just wondering what you have found.

Lisa – No problem. 🙂 As far as the B1G1 FREE sales, it’s going to depend on your store. My store allows me to do it but I know that there are some stores that don’t. I would suggest having a back-up plan just in case but I find that this one is really dependent on the individual store. It’s certainly worth a shot!

Libby – my store allows my to stack the WAGS coupons in their coupon books with other manufacturer coupons. Sounds like your store has another policy in place and since there is no corporate policy it’s hard to argue. Perhaps if you have another store nearby you can try stacking the coupons and see what they say.

Hi Christie,
My daughter and I love your site! But…unless I’m mistaken, the IVC on the Kotex U is for $2/2, and that could change the scenario a bit. I don’t have my book with me, but thats what I thought it was…

Christie August 7, 2010 at 9:13 pm

Hi Betty – My Aug book says – $2 OFF Kotex or U by Kotex 18pk Tampons, 14-24pk Pads, 48 to 64pk Liners (5565). It doesn’t say off (2). ???

I did notice the ad for Sunday makes it look like it’s $2/2 but the coupon doesn’t state that so I’m going with the wording on the coupon book. We’ll see how they ring up but that booklet doesn’t say off (2) so I’m willing to fight that one. 🙂 Hey it’s in print…

And I think it’s AWESOME that you and your daughter stop by!:-)

Hi, I was just putting together my Walgreens list. I came across a coupon that I don’t see on your list for energizer batteries. I thought perhaps others would be interested, it will bring the price of the batteries down to $.49 a package, when stacked with the August coupon book :).

I’m new to deals at Walgreens, so I sure hope I’m doing it correctly. Tomorrow will be the test! Thanks so much for all you put into it.

Hi, love your site, with $ being tight I love seeing how far I can stretch it. I have a question fo you and will use the Nivea deal as an example, what order would you hand the coupons to the cashier in order to avoid beeps…say I have $4/2 and the B2G1 Free and want to use it for the sale this week? Also is it better in this case to have more items (cheap fillers or another deal) when doing a deal such as this one?
