Are you guys doing much good for yourselves with BR points? I’m feeling like it takes too long to accumulate points. I like the instant gratification of RRs so much better. I was so happy for all the black friday RR deals–i was hoping this was the beginning of a comeback for RRs. Bummer!

Agree, I liked the Black Friday RR’s. I went nuts with it but I wanted stocking suffers and all. Liked it much better too. The points for me is just a plus, I dont do it too much unless its a really good deal.

I LOVE the balance points. Even better than RR’s because I have less problems at the register and far fewer transactions. I just barely started with the BR points 2 weeks ago and have already cashed in 40,000 points ($50) TWICE! Plus I have almost 18,000 ($20) again from BF. I put VERY little money out to accomplish the 80,000 points I’ve spent. I love the BR program:) Keep trying it out!

Up until now I havent gotten very many BR points because its too much out of pocket and for stuff I am not already buying. I did rack up 4,000 in points this past week from getting the RR deals, but I am not a fan so far. Since they started with the BR, I have only gotten just over 20,000 and I havent used any.

So were there reach toothbrush coupons out there to make them free? I looked at that deal, but didn’t take advantage because the 2-packs of GUM toothbrushes were free at Walgreens and CVS (after Extra Bucks and RRs). I loved that I didn’t even need any coupons.

Just trying to make sense of the progrm and see if I can benefit. I just don’t see how to accumulate points without a high OOP cost, which of course defeats the purpose.

Hmm. With BR it just doesent seem like Im getting good deals anymore. With RR I’d get a few things that i actually use for free/nearly free–pretty much every week.

But ill keep an eye on the ads. Maybe im just being resistant to change.

The only bad thing with that particular offer is that whenever I went to the store looking for that book (where the $5 coupon was) somebody already took all the books and that happened in like 5 stores 🙁

I guess I don’t really get BR. I did the black Friday deals yesterday and spent about $8 out of pocket but rolled my RR, seems like I didn’t get the “10 points for every dollar you spend” they advertised, unless it means actual out of pocket. I only got 80 points but had over $50 in merchandise. So does it only work if you don’t use a RR or coupons? I loved RR program. Don’t quite get the BR program.

you might check your points again or register you receipts online, I ended up with 4,000 in points from the RR deals this past week.

I will like to receive advice on this matter. I am having problems with one store when using my coupons due to the fact that there is been a “boom” of couponers. Recently there was the deal of the glucometer (get it free plus earn pts.) which seem to upset the management because it was a MM. By the way I did not do it because I did not have the Q. So from now on management said “they will no longer do”:
1.) Q adjustment (I had a MQ$2 and the product was $1.99 and could not used it)
2.) Combine the IVC with MQ (I had a Loreal MQ and the $1 Easy Saver, they told me use one or the other because the easy saver says “it can not be combine with other offers”).
I told the assistant mgr that I had no problem with all the stipulations they are doing but they had to have them “written” and can not contradict the coupon policy. She told me that she knows that I have a good reputation couponing and I do things rights but they are having problems with the other couponers and recently had a $800 loss due to coupons. She told me if I want I can meet with the executives to discuss this matter.

Please advice on this matter I am a frequent shopper on this store and will like to continue having a good relation with the employees but most of all continue using MQ and IVC. Thanks for any advice… 🙂

Call corporate about the store. Both of the things they are doing are against the coupon policy. Other than that, I’d go to a different store if it isn’t fixed. It’s noone’s fault but their own that they had an $800 loss. I work for Wags and we are told to pay attention to the coupons we take in, but to also follow the policy.
