Where do you get the rebate form for the Theraflu?

It was in the 2/13 SS insert.

Is there a coupon missing from the suave matchup or am I so tired I don’t see it lol? What am I missing to get 6 suave bodywashes for $.83? I only see the b2g1free q!! Thanks in advance everyone!

Reply

Christie March 19, 2011 at 11:49 am

Lezlie – it’s $.83 each so you only need the (2) B2G1s.

Lezlie March 19, 2011 at 12:14 pm

Oh okay I thought the post said as low as $.83 wyb 6 bodywashes! Thank you!

Is the Celadrin Joint Health a rebate or RR item? TIA!

I don’t understand your math behind the gum deal. please explain?

Reply

Christie March 19, 2011 at 5:55 pm

Sure – Buy 4 & use (2) B1G1 FREE coupons, that will make it $1.58. If your store also allows you to use a $ off coupon with a B1G1 you can use a $1/2 to apply to the 2 you are paying full price for. Making it $.58 or $.15 or so each. If your store does not allow a $ off with a B1G1 coupon, then it would be $1.58 or about $.40 each.

Reply

Carly Page March 20, 2011 at 3:10 pm

I don’t get the gum deal either – isn’t the b1g1 on Trident and the $1/2 on Dentyne? If I have to buy 4 Trident to use 2 b1g1, then I wouldn’t be able to use the $1/2 because I am not buying Dentyne at all? It would only work if the $1/2 was on Trident, right?

Hi! Christie!

I found your website by accident a few days ago.

I happened to have a Walgreens a miles from me, so your website is a great source of info!

As a newbie to couponing, I have a couple of quick questions:

(1) several of the SS coupons listed in this thread are no longer available on SS… so it is always a good idea to print them out even if you don’t plant to use them?

(2) I have two PCs that I use daily and each one will only allow me to print out 2 coupons(coupons.com, for example) However, I do have 3 old PCs that I keep in storage. They still workd, but just very old(1990s), and run on WindowsXP. I want to hook them up so I can print extra coupons….. is this deemed acceptable?(another words, am I being too greedy?) 🙂

Thanks! 🙂

Reply

Lisa March 19, 2011 at 9:12 pm

I’d do it. We have two working computers in our house and I use both to print coupons. The only things I hold off on are items that are FREE (with RR) without using any coupons. I limit myself to two of those because I don’t want to be one of those shelf-clearing people.

Reply

Jeff March 22, 2011 at 3:06 pm

That is an awesome deal on the pure protein bars! I almost missed that one.. My wife loves these. I went to several computers and have about a dozen coupons for them!

How many identical coupons is too many? 20? 50? more?

Reply

TimSpencer March 19, 2011 at 4:55 pm

sorry… but one more question… 🙂

My local Walgreens doesn’t seem to be able to allow coupon stacking. I know the manager personally and she had to manually override it every single time.

For example, I have a manufacturer’s coupone for $2 off
and a $1 RR. The register wouldn’t ring it up if I only have one item in my basket.

Thanks again! 🙂

Reply

Christie March 19, 2011 at 5:52 pm

Hi Tim – Welcome! You can only have one manufacturer’s coupon per item and they consider a RR a Manuf. coupon. So in that case what you want to do is grab what we call a “filler” some inexpensive item that you can buy so you can use that $1 RR.

As for printing, if you have an old computer that you want to hook up just for printing coupons, go for it! I think if you have a total of 3 computers (which happens to be what we have at home) and you print (6) I don’t think that’s being greedy. I often print extra coupons for family or friends who don’t have a computer so I see it as just a way to help other people out too!

And yes good coupons go fast, so if you see a high value coupon for something you might want, I would print at least (2). Print it when you see it, not when you need it. When you need it, it could be gone.

TimSpencer March 19, 2011 at 8:06 pm

Christie,

Thank you for explaining that to me… 🙂

Quick question… (and thanks Christie for always answering my questions!)
If I use my $2 RR from Clearasil (the one from last week) to buy the Plackers flossers this week, will another RR print from the flossers? Thanks in advance! 🙂

Christie March 19, 2011 at 6:15 pm

They are two different companies so you should be good! 🙂

I think i might be losing my minds…where in the ad is the “snickers cream egg 2/$1”. In my add I see “Peeps, cadbury, or hershey easter candy 2/$1” with in -ad Q, limit 6. Is this Snickers/Mars?

Reply

Christie March 19, 2011 at 6:13 pm

Jill – you are not loosing your mind. LOL. The 2/$1 is the regular price for these. They aren’t in the ad. I just went to the store earlier in the week and priced all the chocolate. 🙂

Reply

PAM March 19, 2011 at 6:17 pm

okay…I know that prices often flip late Saturday afternoon for Sunday’s sales, but I am wondering: would you still get the RR for the RR deals? For instance, for the Almay deal, could I do it tonight, since I have to work 12.5 hours tomorrow, and am thinking everything might be gone by then. I could stop by after work tonight around 8 pm

Reply

Christie March 19, 2011 at 6:25 pm

Pam, although prices flip the RR deals don’t start until later. So in my area prices change at 6 or 7pm but RR don’t print until after 2AM ET. So, it looks like we just have to wake up extra early. LOL!

Is there another Walgreens blog that follows the Reward card advertisements and sales? I just moved from an area that Register Rewards(StL MO) were given to my new area(Olathe KS), which does not do Register Rewards, but the Rewards card and I noticed the final prices are different many times and I try to follow what is posted and get my coupons ready, but then the ads only come out on Sunday & I see the store ad and the match ups are different. For example, the Tena is $9.99 with card and 25x points or the Method Soap is $2.99 with card and 20x points.

How is the airwick free if its only $4 off and the price is $7.99?

Reply

Janet March 20, 2011 at 7:36 am

It will be free when you purchase 2 and use 2 $4 off coupons because it is a BOGO free sale. HTH.

Reply

Ken March 20, 2011 at 2:35 pm

Can anybody confirmed that the airwick is $7.99? Wouldn’t the coupon beeped for this one Christie? As using 2 $4 coupon is over the $7.99 sale price?

Reply

Diann March 21, 2011 at 7:19 pm

This didn’t beep for me. You are actually purchasing 2 items at $7.99 ea and then Walgreens is giving you $7.99 off for their B1G1. I bought 2, used 2 – $4/1 MQ and both were free with no beeps.

Reply

Tammy March 21, 2011 at 8:23 pm

I found out today that the Air Wick deal is not free. The $4 coupons are for the ULTRA Freshmatics (which are $14.99), not the $7.99 Compact units. I didn’t try it at the register because once I read the coupon I realized it wasn’t meant to be used that way.

You can get 2 of the compact units for $1.99 though if you use 2 of the $3 coupons specifically for the compact unit. If you still want the Ultra unit you can use the $4 coupons and end up with 2 for $6.99. This would also work for the Lysol Freshmatics because they are BOGO this week too and have $4 printable coupons available.

I just came across your website a few days ago, must i say I LOVE IT!!!! one of my fav’s.

I am new to couponing and i had a question.
I see that people have a few coupons for one item. without using a b1g1. how is this possible?
Can i use for example a coupon from RedPlum,a coupon from Smartsource AND a instore coupon? even though the coupon says “limit one coupon per purchase”?

gets confusing….makes my head spin! LOL

Reply

Christie March 20, 2011 at 11:10 am

Lisa – those are all the possible coupons you can use. You can use 1 MQ (in blue) and 1 Store Q in Red.

Reply

Pam March 20, 2011 at 10:15 am

woo hoo…made a killing on the Almay deal this AM on my way to work. The wags coupon does beep, so what they did was adjust the price on each item by $2.00.

Hi there,

I’m new to your website and Walgreen’s couponing. Just started couponing a few months ago, and wanted to try Walgreen’s out this week. I had a question about the Ensure deal. If they are $6.99 each and I buy 4 = $27.96 minus 4 $3/1 coupons = $15.96 – $7 RR (to use on a later transaction right?) = $8.96 or $2.24/pack. Is that right? I couldn’t figure out how it was coming up with $2.99 a pack. Also, could I do two separate transactions and use the RR from the teva pads to pay for the Ensure plus one “filler” item b/c the rr is considered an extra coupon, right? Finally, any good ideas on filler items?

Thanks so much! – Sara

Tiffany B. March 20, 2011 at 12:59 pm

I’m not sure how much it will end up being, but there is a $3/1 Nature Made vitamins towards the end of the All You. Plus, the vits are BOGO, so it should be pretty cheap.

Can anyone give advise on best scenerios for the Suave Body Wash. I will be making a trip tomorrow morning and thought someone with more experience than I could help. I have several coupons and would like to possibly take advantage of the $3 RR WYB $10 or more being offered. Thanks!

In case anyone is in need of wet wipes, the Huggies refill pack is on sale for 5.99, and the coupon for 2.00 off Huggies big pack of diapers in the Infant Care booklet is also good for the refill of Huggies wipes… Add the .50 cent coupon from the paper yesterday and that’s 3.49 for a package of Huggies wipes refill! Not too bad I think!

Hey! Heads up, yesterday I bought 3 Taster’s choice Nescafe single instant coffee pack boxes (1.29 ea or 2 for $2) that have 7 singles in them…I got back a $3 RR!!! If you buy the Starbucks Via for $2.49 on sale just through today I think, you may get the RR for a FREE box of the Taster’s Choice like I did! THEN I bought the Taster’s Choice and I ALSO got a RR for $1.50 off 3 of the Taster’s Choice!!! SO, buy a Starbucks Via for $2.49. Get a Free RR for Taster’s choice. Get THREE Taster’s Choice single instant coffee pack boxes for $3…use your freebie coupon, pay $2 for 3, get $3 back AND a coupon for $1.50 off your next three. Repeat with the coupons. (just don’t use the $3 RR for buying the Taster’s Choice!) Whoo!!! Free coffee!
