What are monthly deals?

Reply

fabiola March 5, 2011 at 12:31 pm

Monthly. Deals. Mean they’re at that price all month long including the register rewards.

Reply

Christie March 5, 2011 at 12:52 pm

To clarify – sometimes a Monthly Register Reward deal will vary in price during the month but the Register Reward prints all month. So for example a Get a $5 RR WYB (2) of product X might be a monthly deal but one week product X might cost $6.99 and another week it might be on sale for $5.99. I hope that helps!

Is the 30 ct. Claritin a good price–using $5 manufacturer Q, $4 flyer Q and $2 monthly booklet Q? Online price listed it at 19.99 so it would be 8.99 after coupons.

I usually need allergy meds in the Spring for a few weeks when the trees pop and thought I’d buy it now since I have zero in the house but am not sure if this is a good deal or not. Thoughts?

Is the Vicks Sinex deal still not printing the RR?

Reply

adria garza March 5, 2011 at 3:54 pm

there is a vicks sinex deal at kroger now .. didn’t know if you knew that too.. you have to load a coupon to your card though.

Will you please ask the person who is going around to the Walgreens in Savannah and cleaning out all of their free RR deals to please stop!! they are not leaving anything for others to buy….someone (a man) is going around to the Walgreens buying the product that is free after the RR and then taking that product to another WG to get a refund without a receipt and they are giving him gift cards….they know who he is and are on to him, hopefully they can put a stop to it…if you do not get there early Sunday morning you can forget getting the deals 🙁 I missed out this week and which would have netted me some nice RRs….

Reply

Lisa March 5, 2011 at 3:26 pm

Wow what a bummer! I hope they catch him! I only purchase up to 2 items that are free after RR, no more than that because I don’t think it’s fair to others. Unfortunately I have to get to my Walgreens Sunday or I can forget any RR deals too. 🙁 I think Walgreens should limit how many items a person can purchase, to give the rest of us a chance. I missed out on the free Baby Magic last week and as a new mom, I really could have used that.

Christie March 5, 2011 at 6:12 pm

Wow! That is totally not cool!

“I think Walgreens should limit how many items a person can purchase, to give the rest of us a chance.”

They try to, but then people call & complain so they get in trouble (at least at some stores).

i wonder if wags will give you a rain check w/ the RR ? i know CVS will because they have done do for me…its worth asking

Reply

Ginger March 10, 2011 at 12:48 pm

My Walgreens has given me a rain check twice with the register rewards deducted from the price because they were out of stock. You just have to use it by the end of the month.

Denise March 5, 2011 at 3:15 pm

I hate people like that. Its disgusting. There are only one of each store in my area( meaning CVS, Rite Aid, and Wags) and there are 3 women who go and take everything. When you go and try to get just a few deals for yourself ( as in maybe one of each deal item) they curse you out as if you are literally stealing something that belongs to them. I love deals but people who get greedy like that and treat people poorly just because they happen to beat you to it make me sick. They all go first thing Sun morning and race old ladies to the great deals. I will never resort to that kind of pathetic behavior

Bethany March 5, 2011 at 7:40 pm

I just talked to an employee at Walgreens last week about this very thing. She said that there used to be ladies that came in on Sunday and wiped out everything, but they have since put a stop to it by limiting the number of items you can buy. Those shelf-clearers have since quit going to Wags, and I’m quite glad about it! lol

CarrieD March 5, 2011 at 3:33 pm

What you guys might want to do is to ask your Wags when they get their shipment. Mine gets their shipment on Tuesday night. So I go to my store Wednesday around 11am and they have most of the stuff OR they will get it out of the back for me. just an idea for you guys.

How are you using the Sinex coupon on the Nyquil/Dayquil deal? I know they are all Vicks products.

Reply

Christie March 5, 2011 at 6:09 pm

Hi Julie – You want to look for the Nyquil or Dayquil Sinex caplets. If your store carries a 10-12ct size of these at your store you can use the Sinex coupon on them. You can see what they look like HERE.

Kim March 5, 2011 at 9:01 pm

Thank you for the visual!!! it really helps!

Reply

adria garza March 5, 2011 at 3:57 pm

Question.. for example.. on the always deal.. there is like 3 different coupons listed as available to use for the item.. do you use all those coupons on the same purchase?

Reply

Caitlin March 5, 2011 at 4:04 pm

No, you only can use 1 manufacturer coupon per item. That’s just the list of the coupons that you COULD use on it.

Reply

Rebecca March 5, 2011 at 4:29 pm

For the 99cent nabisco cookies you can get them for free if you printed the coupon from the Nabisco FB page. They reset it within the last week. It’s $1/1 nabisco cookie when you purchase milk, well i always need milk!!

Reply

Tina March 5, 2011 at 6:13 pm

For everyone complaining about individuals buying up all the RR items – at least your store was able to get RR items in. For a few weeks now, my store has been unable to get RR items at all because the warehouse is out. And there is nothing they can do. CVS, however, issues rainchecks, so for those that can’t find the deal, rainchecks at CVS never expire.

Reply

Val Besse March 5, 2011 at 7:26 pm

I went today to get them (too late I guess, my own fault) and all I got was the toothpaste 🙁 But I’ll be there tomorrow for sure!!

Has anyone figured out how the Biore deal might work, with this weekend’s coupon?

Reply

Amy March 5, 2011 at 11:39 pm

Strips are listed online at $7.49 so B1 G1 1/2 off would be $11.23. Use 2 Biore coupons for 2 free cleansers (up to $9.00) would be $2.80 per product.

Reply

Becky March 5, 2011 at 9:38 pm

If you purchased the Charmin Sensitive packages with $30 of coupons inside there is a $3/1 on any one Tide Stain Release. That makes Tide Stain Release a .03 cent money maker after RR.

Gator Pam March 6, 2011 at 12:34 pm

I have printed a $1.00/1 coupon for Folgers at coupons.com. I am seeing it at most ZIP codes I look under, but I keep hoping to come across a reset on the $1.50/1 or $2.50/2 from last month. No luck on the higher amount ones yet, but the $1.00/1 seems to be everywhere.

That would make the Folgers $1.00/each after RR instead of $1.50/each.

My wags in Faribault, MN was putting their entire inventory of nuts, all brands, on clearance last night. The manager said that all packaging was changing. Everything is 25% off right now and he said that it would go to 50% off next weekend. He had 6 carts full of cans, bags, and jars of nuts!!!

the $3/1 ester-c q shown for 3/6/11 RP must be a regional. our RP today didnt have any q for that product.

Reply

craqed March 6, 2011 at 3:37 pm

appears our paper shortchanged us on the redplum ads lately. i just compared to couponhunter.com and see where we’ve been screwed the last 2 or 3 weeks on RP.

Kristen March 6, 2011 at 3:32 pm

I get frustrated when they are out of everything they have RR on. I went last week to get the Baby Magic and the free toothpaste and they were out on the shelf. I asked one of the ladies if they were completely out and she flat out lied to me (she said they were but the next shipment came on Wednesday) I could see new boxes of the Baby Magic on a cart right next to the makeup counter so I knew they weren’t out. I won’t be going back to that one for sure. So even if they say they are out odds are they just don’t want to sell it to you.

Ashley March 6, 2011 at 3:45 pm

tilex and spot shot are also included in the B1G1 free sale and there are coupons for them

Reply

aunt jemima March 6, 2011 at 3:56 pm

I have a kind of stupid question. Walgreens has Biore buy one get one half off. There’s a B1G1 coupon in the Sunday paper. So is that any kind of deal really? I guess I’d get 2 for 1 really, because they would apply the ‘free’ to the one I’m getting half off, right?

Reply

Mishvanda March 6, 2011 at 6:09 pm

Sinex is not included – beeped “no item sold for the coupon” 🙁

***Vicks NyQuil or DayQuil 10 or 12 ct. or Liquid 6 oz. $4.99 (w/in ad Q)
-$4/1 Sinex product 2-27-11 PG x3/31 (if Sinex is included)

I just went to wags and everything was in stock! I got the febreeze deal, and the pediacare (though all they had left was 3 boxes of allergy) and some softsoap body wash among other things. The Orbit gum rang up weird though. I get the 15% off military discount and so they rang up at .84 each. When the cashier went to scan the B1G1 coupon it rang up as 1.00 off and as a wags Q! Then the second Q rang in as 1.00 off MQ, then when he went to scan the in-ad Q it said it had already been entered! At first I thought I was getting a better deal, but then I realized I paid double the price for the gum than I should have. Anyways, it is just weird how a MQ rang in as a wags Q.

Reply

mel March 8, 2011 at 3:45 pm

oh and the most important thing!!! The supervisor actually manually adjusted the price of a coupon down and it wasn’t even an issue–I didn’t even have to say a thing! I bought the broadway nail stickers with the $2/1 MQ and they only rang up at 1.69 with my discount and I said that’s why the coupon beeped (the cashier was a new guy) so he called the lady over and she adjusted it just like that. I was so surprised and very happy. also, the little girls kiss nails (pink) worked too they rang up at like 2.12 with my discount.

Ari March 9, 2011 at 3:09 pm

Hi, I went to get the pediacare deal but I couldn’t find it in the advertisement! I live in DE, is it possible that we might get it next wk? It was priced at 7.49 for childrens fever reducer
