I’m probably just tired but in the first transaction the 4 Gevalia are $8.00 with coupon, right? Plus $3.49 for Colgate & $1.88 for cereal = $13.37, not $17.33. Like I said, I’m tired and could just not be reading it right LOL!

The Regular price of the Gevalia is $2.99, so approximately $17.33 worth of merchandise. I hope that clarifies.

Wow. Just got off the phone with Walgreens Balance Points customer service. Really disappointed in this situation. I purchased 2 Head and Shoulders shampoo and 2 conditioners, same “flavor”, along with the dishsoap and Tide so I could qualify for the buy 25/get 5K points. But I didn’t get my points, so I called Walgreens.

This is what is so disappointing. The conditioners are not part of the sale! Now the store price modified them (because the ad didn’t say “selected types”) so I got the 2/10 price, and the points were given by corporate, but really Walgreens? I mean how does this not make the customers upset? We have to literally take it down to that level? The gal on the phone questioned me about shelf tags, and did the conditioner have the shelf tag, and I didn’t know.

The same thing with the Tide. It’s the size, and the price BUT not included in the 25/5? It’s going to get to the point where it isn’t worth trying to shop the ads because they put so much back on us. It’s not a bait and switch, but it sure seems like just a little different version of it.

Christy have you seen this? I do the vast majority of my shopping here but will need to start to rethink that if this is the type of game they are going to play…

If a product isn’t ringing up the sale price that’s part of a points offer, that’s an indication that it’s not included in the deal. If it is the same price and doesn’t give you the points, then I would definitely ask for my points. Especially if there were no signs up indicating which ones did give you the points. Keep in mind it’s often the manufacturer that is making the decisions about what items are included in a promotion, not the store.
