I did a similar transaction on sunday. And TWO free movie ticket codes catalinas printed for me!
I tried this today and didn’t get my 5,000 bonus. The store manager said it was due to using manufacturing coupons, but I think it was because I used a register reward. The small print on the ad says:

Luckily the store manager gave me to the 5,000 anyway. Just FYI.
FYI – if you ever have a problem you can always call Walgreens Balance Rewards and they will credit you your points. The MQ have no impact and neither do the RR. I just did a similar deal and paid only like $5 after my RR and got the points. 🙂
