Household Booster Scenario

Some of you will have a points booster in your ad starting Sunday 1/11. You’ll earn $5 (5,000 Balance Reward Points) when you spend $30 or more. This will only be available from Sunday thru Tuesday. Hi Robin – Yes, a few regions in the country were excluded from the booster points. I didn’t get it in my town but just a little bit out of my area they did, so looks like I’ll be driving a little further to a Walgreens today. 🙁

I have a question. My area did not get the point booster. If looked at a different stores ad and they had it and I clipped it to my balance reward card would it still work at the store where it wasn’t in the ad? Sorry if this is confusing.

Yes – add it to your card under a different area – you should then be able to use it. However, it will only let you use it on one transaction because the digital coupons are one time use.

This is how I used my points booster coupon.
Bought 3 Garnier Fructis hair products 2/$6 = $9
Bought 1 Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush starter kit $7.99
Bought 2 Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner 2/$6.50
Bought 1 Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush Max refill and 2 Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Gel 2/$7.00 = $10.50
Total before manufacturer coupons and before tax was $33.99
Used (3) $2/1 Garnier Fructis coupons
Used (2) B1G1 Free Scrubbing Bubbles coupons (buy toilet gel and get bathroom cleaner free-expires today, 1-11)—automatically deducted $4 (the value of the coupon) twice so minus $8
Used (1) B1G1 Free Scrubbing Bubbles coupon (buy fresh brush starter kit and get fresh brush refill free)—automatically deducted $4 (the value of the coupon)

Earned 5,000 points ($5) for the points booster
Earned 3,000 points ($3) for the Garnier Fructis
Earned 3,000points ($3) for the SB Fresh Brush starter kit

Received $1.00 RR for the SB toilet gel
Received $1.50 RR for the SB bathroom cleaner
Received $3.00 RR from SB but wasn’t expecting it and not sure what it was from!

So after taking all that into account, my total before tax was -$0.51 (yes, negative!) and tax was $2.89 so $2.38 for everything or $0.26 per item!!!

I am BEYOND frustrated with Walgreens! For the past 3 weeks I have attempted to shop their for the weekly deals. Each shopping trip was to a different Walgreens. (we have 3 where I live) Each trip has been a MAJOR FAIL! I was so frustrated today I actually left a cart full of item and took my coupons and left. I have already done 1 transaction and should have received $6 RR, $1.50 RR and a $1 RR I received nothing! The manager was called and he told me that because I used MC on items I would NOT be receiving RR. That was something that changed supposedly about 6 months ago. Thing is I have been couponing for well over 15 years. I have even shopped within the last 6 months at Walgreens. This has never been the case. Has anyone else had issues lately with RR NOT printing???? Walgreens is on my last nerve and I am not sure if I will be going back there again after my trip today. It is pretty sad when even the manager is clueless!
