Can you do the deals early at Walgreens? Like late in the evening on Sat.?

I didn’t think that you could use a R.R. from the colgate toothpaste when buying a colgate toothpaste in a different transaction.

I think it’s just a typo. It’s probably supposed to be the $2 Reach RR from transaction #2.

Yes Becky you are exactly right. 🙂 Just a typo should be Reach, thanks for letting me know – changed it. 🙂

Just got back from my local wags, the reach toothbrush and Kios Ds coupons aren’t scanning. My cashier put them in manually. Had no problems with other coupons. Also picked up my Sunday papers from there, I didn’t have anything other than the RP. No SS which sucks! lol

Lot of people take the coupons from the paper so what I do is check the newspaper before buying and in front of the cashier. Try not to take the paper from top.

I always check too, I am usually the first one to get a paper at my walgreens. I get there and wait for the papers to be delivered. In my area its not people stealing them, its the people who put the inserts inside the paper, they don’t do it correctly if at all. They usually bring in two or three bundles to our walgreens, one weekend, I had to go through all three stacks to find papers that had inserts in them. Only one bundle out of the three had inserts! That is pure laziness.

Sharell, I was told that the paper companies put the inserts in the subscription papers first, and then any left, they put them in the papers going to the stores randomly. It is not laziness, that is how they work. they make sure the subscription papers have inserts because if they don’t, you call them, and they have to replace your paper or give you credit. You are better of subscribing to one and then buying your extras from the stores

The Fiber Smart coupon is not there. I sent the link to my email, the email had a link for the coupon but it just leads to the website page where you send the coupon link to a friend.

Contact the local newspaper and let them know the paper you purchased was missing a coupon insert

Reply

grace June 17, 2013 at 2:23 pm

they only refund when you have a subscription because not all the papers in the stores have inserts.

I tried to use the $2 Reach coupon but it wouldn’t scan and the manager couldn’t find the right screen on the monitor to manually put it in, so I couldn’t use it. I held up the line because even at 7:30 am with only 3 other customers in the store, everyone decided to pay at the same time! I was so embarrassed and kept apologizing for holding everything up, but the cashier and manager apologized to me for not being able to put the coupon in. I did manage to get some Folgers for $1.50.

My $2 Reach coupons also did not scan, but luckily my cashier was able to put them in manually. My first 2 transactions were identical: Fibersmart @9.99 and nice H2O @.49 for total of 10.48. I used $3 Fibersmart q and $7 RR from Sundown fish oil, but the register would not take the Fibersmart q without the cashier adjusting it down to 2.99 each time. The RR must have attached to the fiber, causing the mq to be over by a penny? Maybe I should have handed over the mq first and RR second; idk. I was fortunate to have a coupon-friendly cashier and I told him so! Cottonelle tp was 4.50 at my store, and I used my Fiber RRs on the tp RR deal. I had a total of 6 transactions, spending 6.34 oop including tax and bottle deposits, and still had $9 RR for later use. Just a great week to shop at WAGS! I couldn’t do it without Christie! Thanks so much!

I didn’t have any problems with my $3 coupons. But there were two bar codes and if you didn’t cover the little one up, it wouldn’t go through. It went through just fine when the cashier covered up the little barcode. You might try that if you have any more of those coupons.

You are lucky. New manager at the Albany Oregon store and employees can no longer input coupons manually, Reach coupon would not scan and there was nothing they could do to help. Interested in why the RR’s are called manufacturer coupons and count as such, but my store will not mark them down if the amount is greater than the amount of the purchase. They will do this for regular coupons. Lots of rules at Walgreens, but the people have all been very helpful and I appreciate the good delas.

Anyone have any trouble with the Kios or Reach Register Reward printing? I just got back from WAGS trying to complete transaction number 2 and it did not print. Tried it four times and no luck. Any ideas?
