Olay & Secret $21.59 Money Maker!

by Christie Bisbee on November 27, 2010

Here is another scenario that will help you qualify for the $20 WYB $50 P&G Mail in Rebate HERE. If you are short of the $50 after the Black Friday sales you may want to give this one a shot. You’ll need both the 10-31 and the 11-28 P&G inserts to do this deal. The old insert coupon will expire 11-30 so you’d need to do this deal before then!

Buy
2 – Secret Trial Size $.99 each
2 – Olay Ribbons Body Wash B1G1 50% Off $4.99 each
2 – Olay Quench 8.4oz Lotion B1G1 50% Off $4.99 each
Total = $16.95
Use
2-$5 OFF Olay Bar, Body Wash, In Shower Body Lotion Or Hand & Body Lotion, Any (1) wyb (1) Secret Product, Any – 10-31-10 PG X11/30
2-Free Olay Hand & Body Lotion (up to $7) wyb 1 Olay body wash 11-28-10 P&G x12/31

Total = $.53 Money Maker!
(This will be one of those rare times that you’ll be able to get overage with just a MQ at Walgreens. Be sure to buy something to absorb the $.53)

You could do this deal (3) times which would equal $50.85. After the rebate your total would be a $21.59 Money Maker! 🙂

I got the Sunday Nov 28th paper on Saturday. There is a buy one Olay body wash get a free Olay lotion coupon. I used it with $1 off Olay coupon from Oct paper. I got body wash and lotion for $1.77, since I had a $3 jingle buck from the Dial body wash. Plus got back $2.50 in jingle bucks for the Olay Body wash. So I made a profit of $1.23.

Chelle, doesn’t that come to 3 ‘coupons’ for 3 items? How did you do that? did u have a filler?

Too bad F&F discount is not until Thursday. Would make this deal sweeter.

According to my math, overage is $.05, not $.53.

Uthorns – I have no idea where you got $.05 but here’s the math all broken out for you so you can see how $.53 is correct.

$16.95 – $10 = $6.95 – $4.99 (1 lotion) – $2.49 (2nd lotion) = $.53.

F&F discount is Wed., 12/1, not Thursday.

Do you need two sets of coupons for the above scenario?

My Wags took off the second lotion MQ for the $4.99 since the register does not deduct the 50% until the end. When she looked up the price they both rang at $4.99 so I got $4.99 for both. This helped absorb the cost of my Secret becuase they were all out of the trial size so I bought regular ones at $2.49 each. I used the $4 overage from the (2)Dulcolax Balance to cover the other Secret, so nothing OOP for all of it! Did have trouble with the Dulcolax MQ at first because it scanned at $8 instead of beeping to put in the price, so manager had to call someone and ask. They ended up putting both through manually at $6.99 and then when I gave the Wags coupon I thought there would be trouble since they would see I was getting overage but manage said, “that’s ok to use both coupons.” Yeah for me!

Heads up…I had a $1/1 SalonPas 5pk Q from a free sample request a while back. Maybe some of you will have it too, to make a Money Maker!

Carla – You are lucky. The coupon for the Dulcolax beeped. So a manager came over. The guy kept reading the coupon, and was just being impossible with it. He finally said he would ring it up at 6.99. Then when he saw the wags coupon, he started to say ” We aren’t going to accept that wags coupon. There has to be a mistake. We wouldn’t ever pay you to buy our products.”

There was, however a coupon hang tag on the bottles. It said $3.00 off, then $5 by mail in rebate.

I tried to do this deal today and was told I could not because the coupons couldn’t be combined together. Is there a way in the coupon policy? I will co back if I can get it! Thanks

had to worst time getting this deal yesterday. They only wanted to take of the 50% amount for each FREE lotion q. Even though I q should have been for $4.99 and the other for $2.49. 10 minutes I was at the register trying to patiently explain my problem and the “manager” that was called over just kept giving me these big deep sighs and saying “but that’s not how it works, our register is right”. I pointed out that the CASHIER, not the register, was the one who wrote in the free amount and then entered it into the register – total silence followed. I then just asked to return my entire purchase. He didn’t give me back the correct amount of money at first (like $1 less) and tried to keep my coupons as well. I was so irritated.

Question – what do I do now that the free coupons have amounts written on them? I was going to try and go to a more coupon-friendly store this morning before the q’s expire.
