I’m guessing the St Louis market has a different points booster the most other places. Last time we only had one day to get extra points. This time we get 50 points for every $1 once you spend $30. Which means that you only get 1500 points for the $30 spent. So disappointing!!!! Also, on the Irish Spring, it says 5000 points wyb 3 or more. If you buy 6 you still only get 5000 points. To get more then 5000 points you have to do individual transactions. I have read that Wags is making changes to the BR program. I’m assuming that this is one of the changes. Wags just announced that they will be closing 200 stores for economic reasons. If they keep on making it harder to shop there and keep taking away the incentives, they are going to need to close more stores because more and more people are going to stop shopping there.

If you have that points booster offer you’d pay $1.96 for $30 worth of merchandise or 28¢ per item.

Walgreens is closing 200 stores but it isn’t because of economic problems, in fact they had a huge profits last quarter. You can read about it below if you’d like.

Not trying to argue but it all comes down to them making more money. Close some stores see profits increase. If they have record profits then why take away the jobs of a lot of people??? It all comes down to corporate greed. I know several people that work at or have worked at Walgreens that have seen a lot of negative changes made in the past year that hurt their person bottom line. All the while expecting more out of them. Walgreens is really taking a negative turn and it’s going to ultimately hurt them. Why is it ok to not offer the same incentive for the BR to everyone. There is no excuse for it. Their prices keep going up their service keeps on getting worse especially at the pharamacy and their really good deals seem to be getting further apart. I personally am disappointed in Wags these days. I understand costs not being the same in all markets do to many reasons but not offering the same incentives for a program in all markets is poor management and lack of respect for their loyal customers. I have just become more and more frustrated with them lately. Not to mention the fact that the 3 stores close to me in recent months seem to be out of products before sales even start. They can not get items in stock in a reasonable amount of time.

Yes, not being able to have stock available would be super frustrating! 🙁 I’m fortunate in that I have a Walgreens, honestly about every 2-3 miles here.

Christie,

Both the Irish Spring Signature Exfoliating Bars 3ct and the Irish Spring Signature Body wash 3in1 had NO special signage but were marked down to 1.37 ea at my walgreens store (noticed this when checking out as cashier scanned the items). Luckily I had an additional item in my cart and added it to transaction in order to be above $30 for the point booster. BTW, I did receive the 5k points for buying 3 Irish spring products 😀
