I got 3 Costume Kits for women this morning. They were clearanced for $5.19. The coupon didn’t work, but the cashier took it off. I paid .62 for all 3!
Just a note to let people know that this coupon was not in the flyers in my store. It is only in the newspaper Walgreens ad.
I’m so bummed! My store had the same kits at $5.19 but the coupon wouldn’t attach to them and the cashier would not give me the discount 🙁 she said the coupon wouldn’t work on clearance costumes, which i know isn’t true. Happy i got my mr sketch and sharpies though 🙂
Not true at all, but it does make me wonder why the coupon automatically worked on my costumes (shown in picture above) but not yours. Wouldn’t they be keyed the same even if the price is different?
thanks so much. I was able to score some free costumes for my son, my husban & I. I also got a few for a girl battling cancer in a hospital. I’m so thankful!
My cashier wouldn’t even attempt to scan the $5 coupon on my clearance costume ($3.25). She said it would make it free! lol As I was leaving, she came up to me and said, “He (the manager) said you can buy the costume at the regular price ($19.99) and use the $5 coupon.” Really?
Wow, that is lame, like you would pay $14.99 for a $3.25 item! Love the “can’t do it ’cause it would be free” excuse, too…
Wonder how you got them for free if their policy says stuff about not adjusting prices and crap. Would be nice to get but I know there is going to be beeps for sure.
I only tried the Costume Sets pictured above that were priced at 3.19 and no beeps whatsoever. Rare at Walgreens these days though!

Beeped for me and the cashier said that they are extras for a costume and not the whole thing so it didn’t work. the coupon is good until sat so I think I will try on some costumes for next year
