We have a new rebate available for Zantac 24-30 ct. This is on sale thru 3/29 for $8.99, plus we have an IVC in the March Coupon Book and a couple of manufacturer coupons you can choose from to stack! The rebate specifies the date is good thru 3/31 (unless you buy it at a different retailer), but the sale and IVC are only good thru 3/29. The Rebate does not make a note of the use of coupons, so you may get the full price of the item, or it may be reduced by the amount of the coupon that you use. However, this is still a free item!

Christie: I was kindof thinking this would be a $6.00 money maker. $8.99 – 2.00 – 4.00 equals $2.99. You get back $8.99 for $6.00 money maker. What are you thinking differently?
It’s so hard to know with rebates. To be safe I’ll just assume we can get it for free for sure and possibly a nice big money maker! 🙂
1) This rebate form states that your store receipt must be from the same state as your home address. This could affect people who live near a state line and primarily do their shopping in the adjacent state.
2) Also, some companies will give you a rebate of your purchase price or your OOP, whichever is lower, because they claim they cannot legally give you cash for coupons. So, just in case, I will make sure that my total on my receipt exceeds the purchase price of the Zantac.
3) Also, don’t pay with your Happy Cash because it may lower the purchase prices of all your items on that receipt.
The Walgreens coupon isn’t a manufacturing coupon, so you can stack. I’ve already done this, and came out paying $3.45 ($2.99 plus .46 tax). I’m going to file the rebate at Zantacoffers.com for $8.99 because the rebate says up to a $11.00 amount.
Wow…I’ve never thought about the whole receipt being more than the price…I’ll give it a shot, and hope for the best because I purchased it separately. The Walgreens register was having a major hissy fit once again, and they had to ring the item separately. I’m hoping some day I can get out of Walgreens with a transaction that doesn’t have to be rerung. Always because of new employees…AAAAGGGGHHH
No one seems to understand that just because a rebate says “up to” doesn’t mean they will give you the full price of the item. They give you the refund amount of the actual “cash” you pay.. Meaning the price after all store discounts and manufacturer coupons.
It really depends on the company and it’s up to them.
I’ve had many rebates that have given me the full amount before any coupons, so that’s not a hard and fast rule.
Jane, I think people understand but you can’t just let it go!
One thing that’s bad about Walgreens “new” registers is that it says on your receipt what the coupon was for. So, the fulfillment center know what coupons you used even if you bought a bunch of other stuff on the same receipt. Bottom line: As Christie said, don’t expect this to be a big moneymaker. Be satisfied if it costs you nothing.
You get 60 points on your wags card as well, making the deal even sweeter!
