Question about redeeming points. If you have 40,000 points it said that = 50. How dies it change to that? Do you have to use all 50$ worth in one transaction to get it to be 50 or once you hit 50 it’ll just know and change the 5000 increment value??
Thanks!

On this ProGlide deal, I was able to use two of the B1/Get$5 off another coupon that was also with the P&G coupons, and therefore got two of these razors for a .02 money maker. The register took it, and the sales clerk actually recommended it when she saw my coupons so give it a shot. These are really nice, and look for the ones with two cartridges vs. the Olympic ones that are pretty but only have one cartridge.

Angel September 18, 2012 at 12:49 pm

Thought those were buy refill cartridge, get 5.00 off razor?

Reply

gretchmorr September 18, 2012 at 2:14 pm

if one razor is 10 the coupon makes the other 5…so 15.00 minus 10 reward..how does it make it .02 money maker?

Amber September 18, 2012 at 6:28 pm

she’s probably saying if you count the $10 RR that you get back.

She used two

Hi where did u find the b1/get5 off coupon?

Reply

Deborah September 18, 2012 at 8:13 pm

@ CrazyCouponer
I am no “coupon police” but what I am reading in your post is misuse of coupons. That coupon says: Buy ONE Gillette System Razor or Disposable Razor, Get $5.00 OFF ONE Gillette Fusion Proglide Razor (excludes trial/travel size).

That means that you have to buy 2 items to be able to use this coupon. So you will get one at full price and the second one will get the $5.00 off discount.

You know I thought so too, but it was actually the supervisor of the walgreens that told me to use them. I don’t have any more of the coupons, so can’t answer the question raised earlier that says to buy “cartridges”. I don’t think it said cartridges.

I posted this somewhere else, but this Walgreens person told me that I couldn’t do a more traditional match-up, which is to use the $4.00 off one Gillete System or disposable coupon I had, and then use the B1/G1 disposalbe free to get the second free. Someone corrected in a post that this transaction should work. So yes, I was confused and really wouldn’t have used the two coupons of Buy 1/Get $5 on my own..
I really wish they would post a coupon option match up right within the stores, so even the newest hires could understand what is allowed and not. So I was not trying to at all push thru anything, but that is what they wanted me to do…YES Crazy and may I add a little confusing to me and I have a MBA….which I have found does not allow me any benefit in coupon strategies…so am quite happy for this site…Thanks. 🙂

Another alternative is to use the $4.00/1, and then the B1/G$5 off to get two for a total cost of $.99 or 49.5 cents each.

Another option is to add the BOGO coupon expiring on 9/30 which gives a free Mach 3 Razor, giving you all three razors for a two dollars less.

Reply

CrazyCouponer September 18, 2012 at 9:07 pm

Know everyone know there is a four like coupon max on these Gillette BOGO free offers which the Walgreens registers do seem to be programed for. So I had a well organized strategy with the BOGO disposalbe and Mach 5 coupons, and it blew up and coupons weren’t matching right, and didn’t get benefit of the free ones. It was a hot mess and caused me to be late to carpool Yikes….

Barbara September 18, 2012 at 2:55 pm

since it’s awaiting moderation, I meant to say one dollar less, not two.

You can use the $5 off and get 2 proglides, than use the buy a powerglide get a free mach 3 razor. i got all 4 for 998+ $10 rr. I did that yesterday. Than I went to a different Wags today and they had one of the proglide razors on sale for $5. I got that and the mach 3 razor for free only had to pay the tax.YAY:)

THe coupon says buy any gillette razor system, get $5 off of Proglide. So if you buy 2 proglides, it will let you use a $5 coupon for each of the proglides.

suzy September 18, 2012 at 3:48 pm

i also got 2 free mach 3 razors when i bought the 2 gillette fusion proglide razors

Why wouldn’t you use (2) B1 Gillette system razor get $5 off
(2) Buy 1 disp razor get Mach 3 free- to get all 4 Free after RR!?

Reply

CrazyCouponer September 18, 2012 at 9:14 pm

Think this would work, but I didn’t realize it until I spent my first B1/G5 coupons. You could probably add a $3.00 off one Gillette Disposable to each of your Disposable purchases to add to your strategy before using the BOGO coupon as I believe this is a proper coupon transaction from what everyone posts..

Terri September 18, 2012 at 9:11 pm

What inserts have these coupons you are speaking of for this transaction? Thanks

Reply

CrazyCouponer September 18, 2012 at 9:16 pm

Terri: I’m in the Midwest, so would have been a SmartSource, RedPlum or even the P&G book from the past month from maybe the Chicago Tribune.

Reply

Seden September 18, 2012 at 5:26 pm

Justine: i did the exact deal you posted. You could also use the buy gillette get 5 off proglide coupons instead of the 4 off.

Karen A September 18, 2012 at 7:53 pm

Just an FYI- different regions got different wording on the P&G razor coupon!

Reply

Katie September 18, 2012 at 8:09 pm

Anyone know if I can use P&G RR (from Crest mouthwash) $3 value to roll this Gillette RR? I just want to check before I do this deal… seems since my RR is for $3 and this reward is $10. Thanks!

Reply

Mdscrappy September 19, 2012 at 1:30 am

Yes you can. I used 4 $3 P&G RR to pay for the razors and got back the $10 RR.

I have ALL these coupons but I am still confused! This deal has gone from Rite Aid to CVS and now it is in Walgreens and i still cannot figure it out. I guess I should try Justin’s scenario but it just does not look right

I did the deal am it worked! I got 2 Proglide at $9.99 each and 2 Mach3 Turbo at $11.99 each. Total before coupons was $47.XX, used 2 b1g1 and 2 $5/1. Paid $10.80 at register and got a $10 rr! Just paid tax pretty much, receipt shows $.82 tax! Whoohoo thanks for everything u do!

I only have the bogo get 5.oo off and I have a few how can I get the best deal

Reply

Karen A September 19, 2012 at 1:51 pm

Do this:
Buy 2 ProGlide Fusion
Buy 2 Mach 3

Use from Sept P&G
(2) B1 Gillette Razor system, get $4 off ProGlide
(2) Buy ProGlide get Mach 3 FREE

Total will be 9.98, get back $10 RR From P&G!

If you have a RR, grab Nice Jello (scan in ad coupon for 4/$1- makes it a filler for .25)

Reply

Karen A September 19, 2012 at 1:52 pm

Oh type- use (2) B1g $5 off ProGlide…..

Reply

mar September 19, 2012 at 7:11 pm

just did this exactly the same, work great. whooo free expensive razors. and no beeping.

Reply

burt September 22, 2012 at 1:59 pm

this is mis-use because the $5 MQ requires the purchase of 2 razors. So you can’t use the bogo coupon on Mach as well, since it requires a separate purchase of a gillette razor!

crissy September 19, 2012 at 9:11 pm

i am still confused i have (1) buy one get one mach 3, (2) buy one system razor or disposable razor get $5 off fusion proglide, and (2) $4 off proglide. what can i do?

Reply

crazycouponer September 20, 2012 at 11:43 am

So from reading the posts, it does look like everyone is also using two of the B1/G$5 off second when buying two. So Deborah’s post about “misuse” of coupons isn’t correct. I was not sure myself, but if Walgreens is helping, I’ll not feel “crazy”. I didn’t take it even further and added on the Mach 5 so that is a cool strategy. This is just a lot of work, but is great strategy. I always look at it from Walgreens perspective and how they are going to get reimbursed. They will get the full G1 free price in collecting on their coupons, and also most likely the $5 back on the B1/G$5 so they are actually in good position.

Lenore September 21, 2012 at 4:50 am

Hey Crazycouponer they also get .08 -.12€ cents above the face value of the coupon. So they make money on couponers. :). Everybody is happy about that!

I bought:
2 Mach 3 turbo razors (these were on sale at my store for 7.99)
2 Gillette Profusion razors @ 9.99
Used
(2) 5/1 for the Mach 3
(2) B1GProfusion free
Total was $6.XX with tax + $10 RR
The cashier said “That’s amazing!”

I used the 10RR for the Huggies diapers, scoring 2 free packs of diapers!
I’m in SE WI.

This $10 RR is ROLLING!!!! I did this 7 times today!! I paid $2 for every transaction after the inital one, for which I used RRs I already had. RROOOOLLLLLLIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGG!!!

Reply

Lacey September 22, 2012 at 1:11 am

And just FYI, I bought 2 Pro Glides, and used 2 $5 MQ each time.

Reply

burt September 22, 2012 at 1:56 pm

how are you guys using the $5 P&G MQ? It requires you to buy 2 razors, since it says Buy ONE get $5 off ONE. So, that coupon alone requires two razors.
