Hawaiian Tropic Coupon = Cheap!

by Christie Bisbee on July 5, 2012

You can get a great deal on Hawaiian Tropic Suncreen this week! My store had the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Buy One Get One Free and I was able to use both the Walgreens Mobile coupon and the Walgreens Skincare coupon along with a $2/1 Hawaiian Tropic coupon hangtag to get a super deal on these.

The Mobile coupon did not take off for the FREE one but the Walgreens coupon in the Skincare guide did. So, here’s what my deal looked like…

Walgreens Deal
(2) Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydradtion 50 spf 6.2oz $10.49 B1G1 FREE
(2) $2/1 Hawaiian Tropic Hangtags
(1) $2/2 Hawaiian Tropic Sun Care Products 4oz+ Walgreens Skincare Guide (-$2)
(1) $3/1 Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration SPF 12-50 6oz Walgreens Mobile Coupon (-$3)
Total = $0.75 EACH

Some of you aren’t finding this particular item tagged at your store for the sale so what’s included may vary by region. The Sheer Touch and the Tanning varieties were also tagged but I didn’t buy those.

Buy (2) Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch $9.99 B1G1 FREE
(2) $1/1 Hawaiian Tropic Sun Care Product, exp. 8/15/12 (SS 06/17/12) or PRINT
(1) $2/2 Hawaiian Tropic Sun Care Products 4oz+ Walgreens Skincare Guide (-$2)
Total = $2.99 EACH

Christie, there is a better deal here, if they have a $3.00 manufacturing hangtags, for some reason I have them I think I got them when I bought at other store, I have $3.00,$2.00 &$1.50 of these hangtags with me now, the only problem is I’m not sure if they’re BOGO free here in Walgreens Hawaii, so if they use the $3.00 and $2.00 off Manf Q’s hangtags, it will only be $0.49 for two, and totally free for $9.99 spf 30

Wow! That would be awesome! 🙂

Our silk hydration was not b1g1 free, only the spray cans 🙂 I work at Walgreens and noticed they did not have sale tags so I tested it on the registers and no go.

Hmmm, did your store get tags for them? All of mine have tags for the deal. If your store does have them taggeed, maybe you can price modify them so they reflect the price they are advertised. I’d chat with your manager about it.

I don’t fully understand this deal. We can stack walgreens coupons? I am a bit confused. Would you explain using both mobile and IVC. Thank you!

Reply

Christie July 5, 2012 at 2:50 pm

Yes you can sometimes stack (2) Walgreens coupons with a manufacturer’s coupon.

Is it possible to use (2) man Qs , (1) a store Q for $2/2, and a mobile store Q on only two products? I’m confused. My store told me that I can only use 1 coupon per item.

One manufacturer’s coupon per item but you can stack coupons (Walgreens & Manufacturers’ coupons).

I see, but one of the store coupon states $2 of 2. Doesn’t that one attach to both items because it states “$2 off 2”?

Reply

Christie July 5, 2012 at 4:12 pm

The $2/2 is a Walgreens coupon, it took off $1 for each item. I never worry about Walgreens coupons attaching to anything, just don’t have them scanned first.

Reply

Denise July 5, 2012 at 8:25 pm

why do you not want the Walgreens Q scanned first

This didn’t work for me on the items you have listed because the ad states “select” items. I had to get a different variety, but the deal came out to $2.49 + tax for me, still not bad. I saved $18.49 on this deal

Sounds great to me! What did you end up buying?

Reply

angie July 5, 2012 at 4:16 pm

i had to buy the spray cans as well. as for the $2 coupon in the skin care book, it states that it’s $2/2 so that’s why i only got $8 off, i’m not sure how you ended up getting $9 off….

I was on new register – don’t know if that has anything to do with it, or maybe it was just my lucky day.

I know that you can only use the mobile coupon once, but will it deduct $3 off each item or will it only be $3 one item only?

Read her post – the question you are asking is answered in there.

Actually, it is not in her post. I would also like to know this. TIA.

It only took it off once for me. So $3 off one time thought I bought two. I also tried adding a third to see if it had something to do with the one being free but it didn’t take off for that one – so just once on this one. The mobile coupons are different every time it makes me crazy! 😛

If I buy 4 will the mobile coupon take off $6.00?

Reply

Shannon G July 5, 2012 at 7:25 pm

Just a heads up, the bonus sizes and 6 oz package with and extra travel bottle aren’t ringing up BOGO; I checked this morning for a customer.

I downloaded the Walgreens app to my Blackberry. I can’t find any mobile coupons on it. How do I get the mobile coupons?

The silk hydration wasn’t included in the bogo in my store either. I’m in Peabody,ma

I couldn’t find any of the $2 hangtag coupons. However, I had 2-$1 manufacturer coupons and the $2 skin care book coupon, and with the BOGO, I got 2 of the Silk Sensations 6 oz with a free 2 oz attached. It came to $6.99 for both. Not a bad deal considering I didn’t have the Hangtag or mobile coupons. I also got a free 2 liter bottle of Pepsi Next with a Catalina I got at Walgreens last week. The sunscreen deal originally didn’t ring up BOGO, but the tags were on the shelf, so the person at Cosmetics refunded the price for one. She was very nice and said they are having a lot if issues with the tag prices not matching the price that rings up.

My store had them for $10.99 with no B1G1 tag. I asked at the register (the tags seemed to be haphazardly hung between products so I really wasn’t sure which was and was not included) and the manager said she wasn’t sure either so she would honor it. They rang the first up for the regular price and the second for one cent.

I had one $2 hangtag, one $2/2 from the skin care booklet (which were still available at the beauty counter), and the $3 mobile coupon. The $2/2 Walgreens coupon only took off $1.01 since the second item was only $0.01.

My deal wasn’t as sweet as yours but I got both for $4.99, which is still decent in my opinion.
