I checked my store on my way to school this morning, and they haven’t gotten them in yet. I actually ran into a Pepsi distributor and she said they will be in tomorrow. 🙂

heres a good question if i use the 99 cent reward for the 20oz would it print the 3$rr for the 3 12 packs? im thinking not but not sure?

Sarah April 16, 2012 at 8:34 pm

Yes, you can. You can use a RR from the same company and generate a new RR IF the values are DIFFERENT. I have done this with Schick in the past.

Katie April 16, 2012 at 11:29 pm

yes I used 3 of the .99 on the 12 pack ones with out thinking and got the $3 one 🙂

Just got through with this deal. Manager saw me with (3) 12-packs in my cart and reminded me that the 20oz were FREE after $.99 RR earned. Told him I knew that and appreciated his info. Then I shared with him and he was happy to ring up all (3) for me to see if the $2.99 price would show up as well as if the $3 RR would print. It did and we all did the happy dance, LOL.

off topic, but can anyone tell me what the regular price is of the Luster White toothpaste? I’d like to get more and I know the RR is month-long, but I’m curious as to what the regular price is compared to last week’s sale price… Thanks!

Sooo…with the Pepsi Next, I’d like to ask you purchasers what it tastes like. Does it have artificial sweeteners added to it to make up for the loss of real sugar?

Reply

Brandon April 17, 2012 at 6:09 am

It does contain aspartame and sucralose. At first it tastes like regular Pepsi, but it has a very slight “diet” aftertaste.

I really liked the taste.

the taste is great but however lets say u dont drink the whole can in 30 minutes its done for and tastes flat

couponjon April 18, 2012 at 1:33 pm

it’s like a half diet. Pretty good if you’re not opposed to artificial sweetener. Would be good with flavored rum since diet tastes gross and regular is too sweet. Just in time for summer. I know I just don’t like to drink the diet (or regular for that matter) daily. I am still not convinced the sweetener is harmless and I can’t believe people drink 3 or more diet drinks a day !

Wasn’t marked at all (not for $2.99, not for RR), but worked like a charm!! $.99 a piece! Wahoo!

worked at a different store today. Having the manager order 2 dozen for me! woohoo!

I have never had the manager order anything for me before, but this is a really good deal, and I actually like the pepsi next. Can you tell me what they will do? Do you pay first or pay when it comes in? Do they do like a rain check deal so you get it for $2.99 each, use coupon and get the $3 RR?

This worked at my store in NC. They didn’t have any sale signs up but I had them do a price check and found they were $2.99. I may go back and get 3 more before the end of the week. 🙂

Worked great in NE WI 🙂 They were clearly marked $2.99. Hope I like the taste.

I just tried to do this deal. The RR printed but the cashier wouldn’t give it to me. She put her body in front of the Catalina machine so I couldn’t see it. Also, the sign said $1.99 and I asked another employee to verify this price and he said yes. But they rang up $2.99 – the cashier wouldn’t adjust it.

I called corporate about this situation. I paid too much and didn’t get my reward. And of course, I do not like to be lied to. 😀

Erin W April 19, 2012 at 9:39 pm

Carlye, they are 1.99 after the in-store coupon. I notice that usually when there is an instore coupon for an item, the sign will reflect that savings. Is it possible that the sign said 1.99 “after in-store coupon”? Now, the register reward….that’s crazy!! I can’t believe the cashier wouldn’t give it to you! I’ve had cashiers who almost forget to give me me rewards, but I don’t think I’ve ever had one intentionally hide one from me. I hope corporate resolves this and you have a good outcome!!

In my 3/18 SS there was a $0.75/1 diet pepsi coupon. I asked the cashier if she thought it would work and she gladly tried it. I didn’t know if this was considered “diet Pepsi” or not. Went through just fine! Awesome!! So even after tax and RR I paid $1.17 for 3. Wa hoo. I tried one and it does remind me quite a bit of Pepsi One which I wasn’t a huge fan of, but hey for this price I’ll drink it. I kinda feel like either I want a regular soda or diet. Not a mix of the two. I can drink both on a regular basis and not mind switching back and forth. My store (NE WI) had plently left today too, but don’t think I’m going back for more. I did this deal two times now.

This Pepsi Next deal did not work for me. The Simalsan RR printed correctly, but the $3 Pepsi RR did not print. I am not sure if it had something to do with the total after RR was below the threshhold. My total came out to less than $1.5. I used the Sim Q, the $9 RR, and a Maxwell House $1 RR. I am not sure if it was similar to the Coke deal where your total had to be at least $20.00 to receive the $10 RR.

Not a great week shopping at Walgreen’s – one location said I could only do one transaction per visit. I told the cashier thank you since I go to that location 4 times a year when I see a customer that way.

Another location limited me to 2 Nasal Ease, Simalsan, and Pepsi Next single bottles instead of the three I was hoping to buy. I asked the assistant manager before checking out if she had any more Pepsi Next (6 am). She said she could check, but there was no reason to since the limit was two. I explained that I did not see a limit stated.

When I checked out, the cashier said I could only get two of the above after I had done my first two transactions and I had a basketful of other items that were not RR items. Asked him to show me where it had a limit. I just left with my paid for items and left them the overflowing basket so they could put the stuff back.
