Walgreens Updates From The Field 1/29

by Christie Bisbee on January 29, 2012

Here are some updates from my trip to help your trip go a little easier!

BREATHE RIGHT STRIPS: We have a NEW coupon for Breathe Right Strips 12ct or smaller. Look for the .99 Breathe Right 2pk strips to grab ’em FREE! I find these up by the front register at my store but you might also find them in the travel/trial size section. You can also use this coupons to stack with the $2/1 Breathe Right Nasal Strips 10pk (5084) Walgreens coupon in the February book to grab the 10pks for about $3 each.

***DEAL IDEA***
Buy (1) Breathe Right Advanced 2pk .99
$1.50 OFF ANY Breathe Right® 12ct or smaller
= FREE! 🙂

PUR-ABSORB: There is a recall on certain Pur-Absorb lots, so depending on what Pur-Absorb lot your store got, it might not be available. However, stores are substituting with other Iron products one of which may be the Bifera brand. So, if you don’t see the Pur-Absorb at your store be sure to ask about a substitution at your store.

If they don’t know what you are talking about and you can’t find the Pur-Absorb, do a price check of the Bifera Iron Supplements. Don’t be surprised if you DON’T see a sign. Just do a price check and see if it rings up at $10. If it does, the odds are VERY good you’ll get your $10 Register Reward. I’d suggest printing the $2 coupon from HERE for a $2 money maker.

***DEAL IDEA***
Buy (1) Bifera 30ct Iron Supplement $10
$2 Bifera coupon from HERE
Total = $8, Get Back $10 RR
= $2 MONEY MAKER

If happen to have a box of Pur-Absorb at home from a previous deal, check the box for a $2 coupon inside! You’ll have a $2 Money Maker if your store has the Pur-Absorb available.

UBIQUINOL: The Nature’s Bounty Ubiquinol Walgreens coupon took off $14 for me but then the FREE item adjusted to $22.99, so it basically cancels it out. So, it comes out to be 4.50 each. Still a great price for a product that retails for $29.99. Plus a $3/1 Nature’s Bounty Ubiquinol coupon is printing for some of you after purchase. Let us know if your registers behave any differently but this is how it rang up for me…

***DEAL IDEA***
Buy (2) Nature’s Bounty Co Q-10 Ubiquinol $29.99
Total = $59.98
(2) –$7.00 on NATURE’S BOUNTY® Co Q-10 Ubiquinol (no longer available) or (RP 01/08/12)
(1) -$7/1 Nature’s Bounty Ubiquinol 30ct (5106) Walgreens Coupon Feb Book (takes off $14)
(1) – FREE item Takes off $22.99 (so without the IVC)
Total = $4.50 EACH

Find a good deal? How was your shop? Let us know! 🙂

(Thanks Carolyn, Lisa, MeliB & Victoria for your help with this!)

Is it possible to have a $2 money maker if you use the free breath right catalina we received a couple of weeks ago in combination with the $2 off coupon in the February Wags coupon book that came out today?

I’m not seeing the breathe right coupon either. Is there a specific zip code needed?

My zip is 32003 and it was there for me if this helps.

I tried your zip code Julie but I couldn’t find it. It probably went really fast. Thanks anyway for the info. 🙂

I have tried quite a few different zips and I think they took the Breathe Right down (or it ran out of prints). They have been adding and subtracting from the site today, so I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s already gone. The good thing is that this coupon is also in the paper so if you buy any, you’ll have that one at least.

I bought the Blink today and the RR printed fine.

What is the zip code to use for the Breathe Right q? I can’t seem to find it.

FYI ~ I had an issue with the M&M’s q in the February book as it did not ring up. The cashier tried to enter it manually but had no luck. The manager then said that he should price modify them because the q does not specify that the M&M’s need to be the Valentine’s kind but those are the ones pictured. 😉

I bought Emerald Almonds today and the cashier and I looked all through the February coupon book and could not find the in store coupon. She finally adjusted the price of a canister by $1.00 instead.

They’re on the same coupon as the Kettle Brand Chips! It says it underneath the description for the coupon, but oddly enough is not in the table of contents. Also, the ad states cashews are included in the sale, which they are, but the coupon does not work for them!

Carmex is BOGO 1/2 Off. The deal that Christie blogged about a few days abot about the small Carmes Healing Cream and the $1 off coupons is even better, but the coupons expire tomorrow!

The same thing happened when I tried to get the bogo vitamins. Looking at my receipt I was confused so the manager explained that the value of the q comes off the free item. So I basically wasted a $7 coupon. She said wags is changing their entire coupon system (probably not in our favor) 🙁

Please keep in mind that the breathe rite coupon is regional. Not all papers/states received them.

Does Walgreen’s give overage for example of the Breathe Right coupons are for $1.50 and the product is for .97? Do you purchase more so you get the overage or do they manually lower the coupon? Just curious because Walmart gives overage but had zero on hand at the store and also I would rather go to Walgreens. Thanks.

They don’t. On rare occasions this may happen but it’s not supposed to. Your best bet is to price match at Walmart…
