After you log in, it’s under Personal Care. I’ve printed a couple. The problem with this deal is that it’s 6 coupons and 3 items, right? So you have to buy it with other items?

The in ad coupons do not count 🙂

That’s great! I didn’t know that.

The walgreens coupon doesn’t count, when calculating your items/coupons. If you buy TWO,you use TWO $1/1 Clearasil coupon, and let the cashier scan the coupon in the weekly ad.HTH

The register beeped when I tried to use the $2 in ad coupon with the clearance priced Clearasil, and the cashier told me (notoriously a pain in the hiney about my coupons) that I can’t use Walgreens coupons on clearance items (I call bogus, but I walked away). I checked my other WGs and it said $2 off (and I thought that was counting the $2 coupon in ad, so I walked away again). Im going to go back and try it with the coupon stack.

Shondra -you aren’t looking for clearance Clearasil – that would be an orange tag. You are looking for what’s probably going to be a white tag. That’s the tags used for monthly sale prices. The item isn’t on clearance. It will ring up anywhere between $3 and $3.49 depending on the prices at your store.

I call bogus as well. I went to my local Walgreen’s this morning and found some Neutrogena eye shadow on clearance for $5.19. I used a $3 man. coupon I got from All You magazine a couple of months ago and a Walgreen’s coupon from the booklet for $2 off any Neutrogena Eye or Lip makeup. The cashier took both without a problem so I got it for only $.19. So your cashier needs to either take a nap or have a candy bar.

I am not seeing an in-ad coupon, only the advertisement for $2 off Clearasil on page 14. The shelf tag reflects this sale price already, so what coupon is there to scan to receive $2.00 off the sale price?

Reply

Christie January 5, 2012 at 11:34 am

Lauren – No, the shelf tag that’s pictured is a sale price thru the end of the month and has nothing to do with the $2 in ad coupon that you are looking at on page 14. You’ll get that same price $3.49 all month long.

This week only – you can use that coupon (you’ll notice it’s a coupon in the ad with a bar code) to get an extra $2 of. If you don’t scan it (the coupon on page 14)- you won’t get the extra $2 off.

my Walgreens only said $2 off after in-store coupon – so wasn’t that great of a deal?

Reply

Christie January 5, 2012 at 12:35 pm

Sherrie – did you actually have them scan the item and see it ring up at the full price?

these were $3.79 in my region, but it’s still a great score! got two cleansing pads for $0.79 each and found overnight repair lotion on clearance for $4.59, so only $1.59 after coupons–not bad for a retail $13.00 face lotion! 🙂 thanks!

Brenda January 5, 2012 at 12:18 pm

Is this regional? I couldn’t find an in ad Q. Maybe I’m just blind.

Grabbed 2 of them. There was no sign but they rang up 3.49 just like you said. thanks – great deal with two teens at home.

They face washes were $5.49 at my store so I didn’t think it was that great of a deal however after reading the comments I should have had them scan them.

Kristen January 5, 2012 at 1:14 pm

Def go back and scan them! Mine said full price as well and it came up as only $2.99 at register 🙂

Amanda January 5, 2012 at 1:44 pm

I scanned the face washes at 2 stores and they came up $7.49! Not a good deal at all! I’m wondering if there is a smaller container that those stores just don’t carry. (I am in Boston.)

Those most be the clearasil ultra that you scanned!

Reply

Amanda January 6, 2012 at 1:09 pm

There was a very small selection. I think it was the only Clearasil face wash they had.

Amanda January 9, 2012 at 4:15 pm

I went to a bigger store and found it! But it’s $3.79, not $3.49.

Thanks, I will have to go check out my store down the road and see if I can score some free face wash!

So I went to Walgreens to do this deal again and the cashier said she could not adjust down the $1.00 coupon to .99. So I said no problem I will wait for the manager. The Manager came up and did it. I felt bad they are suppose to adjust the coupon down correct?

Reply

Christie January 5, 2012 at 4:21 pm

Yes – it’s in the Walgreens policy.

Here is NM, the price varies from $2.99 to $3.79. I scored some for free yesterday!

Jeannie January 5, 2012 at 8:48 pm

I scored the daily face wash for 0.49each with no problem! Also found old spice body spray on clearance for 1.79 with the $1 off coupon made the old spice body spray just 0.79!

Reply

Jeannie January 5, 2012 at 9:05 pm

Correction old spice body wash was 2.79 with 2 off coupon made them .79

Hello,
My sister was able to get the Clearasil Treatment Cream $3.49 and stack the coupons. The Walgreens person made her use her coupons in 2 different transactions but she was able to get each acne treatment for only $.61 after tax woo hoo. that is da bomb. 🙂

This doesn’t really have anything to do with the Clearasil, but rather Walgreens coupons. I swear, I have argued the coupon policies with these managers here, and they still will not reduce a coupon for me. I even contacted Walgreens corporate online, and all they have to say is that it is up to the manager of each store on how they want to handle the coupon policy. Each store manager can basically bend the rules I guess.
Btw, Thanks for posting this deal!

Hi, Christie!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to you for this website and all the work you do so I don’t have to! I went to Walgreens before work this morning and was able to save 80%. I got the Triminic deal for my sister-in-law who is a single mother, the tylenol deal, the clearasil deal, the Ester gummies deal, and even through in an Atkins shake deal and a full price Burts Bees. I only spent $16 for more than $75 of product.

But I couldn’t do all that without your site. I work full time and run 2 small businesses on the side. I don’t have time to find these deals but am so grateful that you do and share these with others.

Thank you!
Kristi from Colorado

I went and did this deal on Friday. I had planned to do the Triaminic deal and get some RRs but found they were out so I just bought a jar of the pads. The cashier was super nice, but the machine would not take the $1 internet coupon. She typed it in at least 4 times and tried to scan it numerous times, but it wouldn’t take it. She called a manager over and they tried to scan it and type it in, to no avail. Finally she just overrode it. By this time there was a line behind me and they had to open another register. After the manager overrode it, she wrote her name and what was wrong with the coupon and told the cashier they needed to make sure to check the website listed on the coupon to make sure it wasn’t fake. She didn’t say loudly or in a rude way, but I was embarrassed. I apologized to the cashier and she waved me off saying sometimes they have to have a higher up approve a coupon. In the end I got them for only .59.
