I wonder what Walgreen’s consider’s infant for this coupon? I’ve tried using a few times and it always beeps. Yesterday I bought 2 of the bowl’s and 2 of the plates- I had some $2 off coupons. The manager came over and couldn’t get the coupon to work no matter what he did. I questioned whether it was an ‘infant’ product and they were both labeled 4+ and 6+ months so he said yes, they were. He had to price modify my items which was a little complicated given the b1g1 50% off. I also bought the Brainstrong clearanced vitamin’s which did cause some overage so I got the bowls/plates for $5.50! 🙂

I have been told by a Walgreens employee that for some reason that coupon needs a filler item to work. I am not sure why this is because it is a Walgreens coupon.

The infant care book came out around Feb. 2011. Only select stores were given the books (according to corporates response). If someone has the code for the coupon just mention it at checkout and they can give you the discount.

For some reason this one didn’t work for me. I bought 2 of the Playtex drop in systems. They were $5.99 at my store. I used 2 $1/1 coupons and the 5518 infant care code (I didn’t actually have the coupon to look at so I’m not sure exactly what items are covered. The computer only took off $2.50 as the 50% discount – which I think should have been $3.00 and it only took of $1.00 for the WAGS code instead of $2.00. Could it be because I bought the bottle systems and not just the liners?

Do you remember what order you handed over everything Heather?

They scanned the manufacturer Q’s first, then the WAGS code (they key it in since we don’t have the books at our store). The odd thing was, though, they had to enter the price of the bottles manually. The receipt still showed a B1G1LP code on the receipt, so it recognized it as on sale. My Walgreens is pretty nice about things so I don’t worry too much if the deals don’t always work out. Just didn’t know if it was an isolated incident or a computer glitch.

Tried this at 2 different walgreens. It worked at one and didn’t work at the other. The store that it did not work at told me they weren’t sure if they accepted the infant care booklet items. I had the actual coupon so they just price modified it. I bought 2 playtex disney sippy cup things both times. They were $5.49 so after discounts and coupons ended up being $2.12 each. They also have some sippy cups that are insulated thermoses (sp?) for young children that were $5.49 as well. I might go back and get those too. Great deal!

I had a hard time with this deal tonight as well. It’s really confusing me. Luckily I had my usual cashier who worked with me and tried everything. I was trying to buy 2 Playtex twist and lock insulator (disney) sippy cups, but the infant care coupon kept beeping. We tried using the Infant care coupon first and then tried using the manufacturer coupon first neither time would the infant care coupon go through. We also tried scanning the coupon and just using the 5518 code, still didn’t work. When the manager came over he suggested we try it while buying the Playtex twist and lock coolset sipppy cups. (if you look closely at the picture on the infant care coupon this is what the sippy cup box says.) Guess what…it worked!! So weird, because I know that I have used the infant care coupon on the other cups before.
