If you like wonka sweetarts try this deal. Buy (6) 1.8 oz. (the circular ones) for $1.50 after $.75/3 from Dec. q book, (will take off $1.50). The catalina machine should spit out a $1.00/6 q that you can roll to keep getting these for $.09 each. I did this multiple times today.

Jennifer December 4, 2011 at 5:05 pm

It works for 3 buying as well- I got a .50/3 cat coupon on two separate transactions!

Reply

margaret December 4, 2011 at 10:40 pm

hmm didnt know the wonka stuff was included as i thought it was just mars

Reply

coupon connie December 5, 2011 at 12:57 am

I got that too (bought 4 packs sweettarts, 1 skinny cow, and 1 Crunch bar). Got a Q for $1 off 6. My store had them clearly labeled .75/3 after ivc.

Reply

mel December 4, 2011 at 5:11 pm

where is the $1.50 q? I only see $1.50 off 3 Nestle items, and $0.45 off 3 wonka.

Jingle Cash is different this year when redeeming. Last year, if I’m remember correctly your pre-manu-q total had to be above the amount of Jingle Cash you were redeeming. This year you have to spend $30 before redeeming.

Reply

Lisa December 4, 2011 at 6:54 pm

I think she meant that the total needing to be before the manf. coupons but after wags coupons is the same as last year. Not the redeeming part.

You are absolutely right about redeeming the Jingle Cash this year!! Last year you just had to spend the amount of your Jingle Cash so if you had $10 in JC, you could spend $10 and your purchase was free. Now you have to spend a minimum of $30 to redeem ANY Jingle Cash. I give this “deal” a big thumbs down!

Reply

Julie December 4, 2011 at 9:32 pm

I agree with you. I think the $30 minimum is pretty steep when redeeming.

Did anyone do the nail polish deal? Wondering if this is working smoothly?

Reply

Jessica December 4, 2011 at 8:29 pm

I did, and it went really smooth. I still had some $1/1 Men+Care product coupon I had printed a while back so I switched back and forth between the nail polish and the deodorant to get them all for free :).

Reply

Jackie December 4, 2011 at 11:00 pm

I did 2 separate transactions just to get 2 nail polishes. Works great! $3.99, use the $1 off in the Walgreens Holiday (white) book, and get the $3 register rewards back. 🙂

Reply

cristywisty December 5, 2011 at 1:34 pm

Yes, worked great for me as well… The RR was rolling as of yesterday evening, so all you needed was a cheap filler! The cashier at the beauty counter said she had way to much overstock on them, so I got 8 polishes for Free!

Reply

joanna December 6, 2011 at 9:52 pm

I just did the revlon deal and at my store there was a tearpad in the holiday gift makeup for a $1 off any nail polish from revlon so i paid $1 and got back $3. Awesome!

Reply

AM December 4, 2011 at 6:20 pm

I used the Revlon Top Speed Nail Polish tear pad coupon and the Walgreens beauty booklet coupon successfully today for a $1 mm. What I found is that there are two different tear pad coupons. One has the Top Speed by itself (exp 12/11) and the other has Top Speed on one side, and a Revlon lip product coupon on the other side(exp sometime next year). They do not have the same barcodes. The coupon that has two products on it works smoothly, but the other one is a beeper.

I did the Revlon nail polish deal twice today at the different Wags I went to and used the “Make This Season Stunning” Revlon coupons and they worked perfectly. I also had some Dove Men+Care coupons so I rolled the two together a few times to get some free stuff. I didn’t really want to try the Revlon coupons from the Walmart insert because my Wags tend to argue with me sometimes about the number of coupons and MQs vs. store coupons. I hope some people got to do them for some moneymaker deals!

Reply

Jennifer December 4, 2011 at 10:37 pm

I was able to use the “make the season stunning” coupon and walmart ad coupon for the revlon nail polish. The wal-mart one did beep but my cashier looked at it and manually put it in. Same for the Almay eyeshadow but I rolled the RR from the nail polish to get the Almay and I paid like $2 and change for both.

Allison Still December 4, 2011 at 7:50 pm

had no probs with Dove or Revlon. HOWEVER, at my fav store the Lancets with the uo to $19.99 mq then the $10 Wags booklet (which gives you a $9 mm) worked great. THe 24 hr sotre (the big one) has a new computer system that will not accept the overage AND when you start handing q’s, you cannot pay with anything but money -no RR’s to pay???!!!??? I let everything with them and politely excused myself. WIll not go back in there again. Asst mgr said all wags were going to this new system. 🙁

Lunise December 4, 2011 at 8:35 pm

Allison,
I had the same problem at a store with the new touch screen registers. It took my mfg cpns but no RRs. It kept saying no item purchased for this coupon. I call corporate when I got home because it may be a glitch in the system. The manager did not have a clue. He told me I had to another item like the one that produced the RR I was using?! Can you believe that?

Reply

Allison Still December 4, 2011 at 10:03 pm

I was so disappointed. The am acted a little miffed that I was confused and quietly “put me off”. I think I may call corporate as well. Did you try the Lancet deal w/the q and Dec booklet?

Reply

Jolene December 5, 2011 at 1:09 am

I’m just curious what lancet deal you did? I found the Wags Q in the Dec book but not sure how it’s a $9 money maker. Is there a mail in rebate or does it produce a RR? I have a friend who was literally diagnosed with diabetes 2 days ago so when I seen your post I knew this was something I could do to help him. Thanks in advance!!!

Julie December 5, 2011 at 12:56 pm

There was a link to buy the One Touch Delica lancets on another website. It was up to $19.99 off. Maybe you could try to Google it. HTH.

Lunise December 5, 2011 at 11:19 am

I think we shop at the same store. Same reaction I got. Will try the lancet deal today to see if it works for me

My Wags has the new registers and it has proven to be a difficult thing. The cashiers are pretty knowledgeable, and have let me know that once they hit the “pay/total” button, they can no longer accept coupons – so you have to be sure to have given them EVERYTHING (in ad coupons, booklet coupons, mfg coupons, and RRs) before you get to that point. These registers really view the RRs as coupons – so you need to be looking at the little screen (where you slide your credit card) to watch the running total, and then kindly ask your cashier to wait before they hit the total button – that you have more coupons (your RRs).

You certainly can use your RRs, but they do attach themselves to something that you purchased, so there is no possible way to use more coupons than the # of items you purchase. Keep in mind also that $x/2 items coupons usually attach to both of those items. I have found I need to buy more fillers with the new registers, unfortunately.

Reply

Hanny December 4, 2011 at 10:40 pm

I feel your pain ! Those new wags registers are a nightmare. I was told that you have to give all wags coupons first before any manuf or otherwise you’ll have to void the whole transaction and start over, also once the cashier hits the pay button you can’t go back to add any coupons, items or void any items unless you void the whole transaction and start again, hope that helps !

Reply

margaret December 4, 2011 at 10:50 pm

I have found that with the new registers, I have found I add in a few more fillers than normal. Alot of times it counts the IVC (ones not in the ad, but ones in the booklets or inserts) towards my coupon total. Because I had gotten the revlon top speed and 3 nestle candy bars, using the dec book q and the make this season stunning book q. Nothing else. It refused to take a $3rr I had to add in a filler for that transaction. However if you use an mq and an ivc, then its fine, but it wouldnt let me use an rr…wierd

Reply

Becky P December 4, 2011 at 8:01 pm

That doesn’t sound right :/ What is the point in earning RR if you can’t use them?! My store doesn’t accept overage (unless it comes in the form of a RR, which isn’t technically overage to them) and rounds down the coupons, but still… not being able to pay with the RR doesn’t make sense. Did you have filler items if you were paying with RR and only had the one item? That’s the only thing I could think of as to why it wouldn’t allow you to use them.

Did anyone have problems with using the December coupon book coupon for the Sonic Spinbrush?

Reply

Crystal December 4, 2011 at 9:08 pm

Yes I did! The manager gave me the discount by adjusting the price down and then the manf. cpn I had beeped. I’m lucky I have such a friendly Wags and they pushed it through. I was wondering if anyone else had problems doing this deal too.

Reply

clumsyaardvark December 4, 2011 at 9:10 pm

It didn’t work for me at all. Both stores said it was actually a different product than the ones on sale [with the register reward].

Reply

Julie December 4, 2011 at 9:34 pm

It is a different product. The Wags coupon is for he ProClean Sonic and the sale is on the ProClean.

Reply

tessa December 5, 2011 at 7:12 am

Julie is correct. It is a totally different product.

i hope this makes sense, i am new to couponing 🙂 but loving every minute of it…

chris December 4, 2011 at 10:54 pm

I’m new too and was hoping that next week I can use the Jingle w/the RRs from this week to pay for my $30 or more next week.

This week, I also did the Treseme that I haven’t seen mentioned anywhere yet…you get $5 RR when you buy $10, my store has Naturals on clearance for $3 so two of those w/a $4.49 original one gets easily to the $10. I had $1 off from a mailer too….plus helped me get to 50 instead of 30 level for Jingle Cash.

I also found Neutrogena mascara on clearance for $4.50 instead of the $9 originally, then it took half off the second one, and I used two of the $1 coupons from the paper this week and the $2 one from the Season Booklet (took it off twice), so they were essentially some change for both of them together.

Triaminic Fever Reducer was NOT in the 2/$10, but I needed some of the strip ones anyway, so just got those and used one of the $3/off 2.

Plus, WAG batteries are b1g2free….let me use last weeks RRs to pay for this week’s haul.

Amy December 6, 2011 at 12:02 pm

The fever/pain reducer is the one pictured in the ad…

I had a great day at Wags! I got $71.91 in products, (2 transactions) paid $4.50 oop, and got $6 back in RR. My haul included 8 bags of the Hersheys candy, a child’s teaset,2 Ty Beanie Babies,6 of the activity books, 2 Revlon nail polishes, 2 of the elf headbands, and 5 sharpie markers! I paid with register rewards, and still came out ahead, paying $4.50 and getting $6 back! Mostly small things for stocking stuffers, but none the less, a good haul! I will be going back for some of the other deals later in the week, like Treseme, and Triaminic and picking up more nail polish for stocking stuffers.

Can you use the $5 from the Hershey’s candy to buy 4 more bags and still get another $5 off your next Hershey purchase?

Reply

shannyn December 5, 2011 at 1:40 pm

I tried this and it didn’t roll.

Reply

Tammy December 6, 2011 at 6:15 pm

Is the $5 Hershey’s coupon a Wags coupon that you can stack with a manufacturer coupon?

I have to say I was really disappointed in one of my fellow couponers today at a Walgreens I visited. There was a man in front of me who was sent in by his wife/girlfriend/significant other to return a box of Culturelle and bottle of ChiaLife seeds that she had purchased on Black Friday. The cashier caught it and called the manager about it. The manager would not allow him to return them without the RR’s that she would have gotten that day since they were free w/ RR’s for that deal. I like to assume the best in people and I hope that she was just trying to return them because she had changed her mind about the purchases. But honestly, it seems like it could easily be the other way around and she wanted to keep the almost $20 in RR’s and get the money back for her purchases (like making $20). With such big RR’s for these items, it seems quite possible that this is what was happening. Although it may be tempting, we have to remember to practice ethical couponing so that we can all benefit from saving money in tough times.

JoAnn December 5, 2011 at 9:33 am

That’s too bad. It doesn’t surprise me one bit though. Good for the cashier and manager to call him out on it. Just think about it–next time you try to make a valid purchase and your coupon beeps, the cashier could be less willing to help out because Mr. Coupon McRipoff was in not 5 minutes before you trying to scam the store. Stinks for all of us!

Reply

Lunise December 5, 2011 at 11:29 am

I was told by a store in my area that there are a “group” of couponers that consistently do this with high $$ RR items. Loss prevention had been going around informing them to be on the look-out.

Reply

Guest December 5, 2011 at 3:52 pm

Happens all the time at the Walgreens I work it. The people will look flabbergasted when we say the word register reward because they “have no idea what a register reward even is”. LOL

Reply

Mel December 5, 2011 at 9:39 pm

I wonder if they can start doing a return price in their system like Target does on gift card deals to prevent that.

Reply

Dianne December 9, 2011 at 10:05 pm

My Walgreen’s where I am will not do a return on a RR item unless the person brings back the RR because this has been going on here. Greed again, kills us all. And there is plenty to go around.

I was able to get the Triaminic fever reducer at 2/$10. Also, the Revitalens Ocutec was at 3.99 and I was able to use my $3 coupon! Yeah! But then I should’ve grabbed a filler to use my rr, I agree they are getting more picky about it.

Our Wags does a Military discount, so for the Jingle Cash, is it before or after the discount?

Reply

Amy December 6, 2011 at 12:06 pm

THis is what http://www.walgreens.com/jinglecash says:

Jingle Cash is earned after all applicable discounds (i.e. Walgreens employee discount, AARP, Instant Value Coupons).
Jingle Cash is earned before any manufacturer coupons or taxes are imposed. (i.e. Manufacturer’s coupons, Register Rewards).

can somebody please tell me if the catalina for $5 from hersheys be used to purchase other products? if not can we stack it with more MF Qs and get a better deal?

Reply

Jackie December 7, 2011 at 3:25 am

You can’t use that Hersheys catalina on anything but the Hersheys products, and it is a MQ. (It says Manufacturers somewhere on it) unlike other register rewards, and therefore can’t be stacked with the other coupons. Also, even though it is from different weeks, it will not print another one if you use it. If you are paying with other register rewards, it is better to use the catalina and not the MQ that were in the paper. Those are $1 off 2 bags (or $2 off 4 if you are doing the deal) whereas the catalina printed this week or a couple weeks ago will take $5 off the $10, but you will not get another one. I got this deal a couple times this week and alternated, using the MQ out of the papers once to get a $5 catalina, and one time using the $5 catalina sacrificing getting another. You just have to decide how much you need to purchase, and whether you need another catalina or not!
