Reminder Walgreens Jingle Cash Starts 12/4

by Christie Bisbee on December 1, 2011

I wanted to remind you that Walgreens will be rolling out their Jingle Cash promotion again starting Dec. 4-17. Jingle Cash is just another name for a bonus Register Reward, that you’ll earn if you spend a certain amount (before manufacturer’s coupons but after Walgreens coupons) during the holidays.

Walgreens has made some big changes to the program. The biggest change is that you have to spend your Jingle Cash on a purchase of $30 or more. And any Jingle Cash you earn has to be spent the FOLLOWING week. They also raised the minimum from $25 to $30 in order to earn Jingle Cash. You an read more about it HERE.

How Much You’ll Earn
Spend $ 30 – Earn $ 5 in Jingle Cash.
Spend $ 50 – Earn $ 10 in Jingle Cash.
Spend $ 75 – Earn $ 15 in Jingle Cash.
Spend $ 100 – Earn $ 20 in Jingle Cash.

How to Redeem Jingle Cash
*Jingle Cash earned from 12/4/11 – 12/10/11 Can be redeemed from 12/11/11 – 12/17/11
*Jingle Cash earned from 12/11/11 – 12/17/11 Can be redeemed from 12/18/11 – 12/21/11
*Walgreens Jingle Cash can only be redeemed on a total purchase in excess of $30.
*Jingle Cash is earned after all applicable discounts (i.e., Walgreens employee discount, AARP, Instant Value Coupons).
*Jingle Cash is earned before any manufacturer coupons or taxes are imposed. (i.e., Manufacturer’s coupons, Register Rewards).

Details: To earn Jingle Cash, eligible purchases include regular and sale-priced items. If merchandise purchased with Jingle Cash is subsequently returned or price adjusted, the value of the Jingle Cash previously earned and / or the amount of the merchandise refund may be reduced to reflect any unearned value. Jingle Cash cannot be earned or redeemed for online purchases made at www.walgreens.com. Only one Jingle Cash coupon redeemed per transaction.Jingle Cash redemption cannot be combined with any other Walgreens STOCK UP store coupon in the same transaction.

Hi, Christie! Do you know what it means by “cannot be combined with any other Walgreens STOCK UP store coupon in the same transaction”? What is a Wags stock up store coupon? Thanks! (and thanks for all the valuable information you post)

It’s a coupon you get when taking a flu shot or vaccination in the pharmacy. Like $3 off $15 + and they say walgreens stock up coupon, then if you use it you get a second $5 off $25 +. AARP coupons are considered walgreens stock up coupons as well. These are walgreens sponsored coupons as we do not send them off with all other mq’s and rr’s.

Can you receive Jingle Cash and the weekly register rewards on the same transaction? Example, get $10 RR wyb $30 of Mucinex. So, if I spend $30 on Mucinex to get the weekly RR, would Jingle Cash also print? Thanks!

Yes, for the Conair Xtreme Instant Heat Hairsetter, I received the $10 RR and $5 jingle cash. I have done this several times on various transactions.

Aloha Christie,

I’d like to pay for a $30 or $50 transaction with Register Rewards. Would a transaction paid for with mostly RRs qualify for Jingle Cash or are they considered like MFCs for this?

Do Gift card purchases count towards the dollar amount needed to qualify for Jingle Cash?

No they don’t. Last year for 1 or 2 days the system malfunctioned or something and started giving it for every purchase, even prescriptions :O

I have only been couponing for 8 months or so, so I’m new to the Walgreens JC. Seems hard to earn and hard to spend, as I mostly keep my transactions very small to roll rewards. Anyone here with experience in having earned/spent them? I’d love to hear about it. 🙂

Ok, so can you clarify on the spending of Jingle Cash? The one i have is $10 off of $30. You said above that it can only be redeemed on a “total purchase of $30 or more”- does that mean after I give all my coupons I still have to be above $30? Or the original total just has to be $30 and then I can use my coupons to get as low as I want? Thanks.

If I use $10 Jingle Cash to pay for, say, $60 worth of..whatever..and my total is now $50, will I get another $10 Jingle Cash coupon?
That is, can I use old Jingle Cash and get new Jingle Cash in the same transaction?

Grr I had 33.50 worth of stuff 3$ in wagQ and the rest in RR and ManQ and the jingle cash did not print out and they refused to accept that the RR did not count against it. Complete and utter waste because I used all my RR and for that since i was expecting to get exactly the same amount back. I am so not happy!

It should have printed. I bought about $32 worth AFTER Wags Qs and used ALL Register Rewards to pay so my out of pocket was about $.80 and got my $5 Jingle Cash. The RR should NOT count – just like MQ don’t count. RR are MQ. I would double check your receipt to make sure something didn’t ring up differently than you expected and cause you to go under the $30.

Hi Sarah, Same thing happened to me. My total was $31.82 before any coupons. I had $11.00 worth of coupons non of which were Walgreens coupons. (Total after coupons was $20.82.) I paid for my transaction and my Jingle Cash didn’t print out 🙁 When I asked about it I was told it was b/c my coupons brought the total down to under $30. I was so frustrated, I left with out arguing.

Whenever the RR or JC doesn’t print, I just speak with the manager( I must have an awesome manager….) and he gives me the RR or JC in cash! They cannot force the system to print it…. so cash it is!

Can I use two JC in the same transaction?

Reply

Beth December 19, 2011 at 9:25 am

ok, so the answer to my question is NO. You can only use 1 JC per transaction. That makes this tricky…
