FREE Skittles Starting 9/11 With Coupon

by Christie Bisbee on September 10, 2011

UPDATE – The IVC (in ad coupon) works for the Skittles (making it $.50) but the MQ is beeping. It’s for the right product but they’ll have to push it through. I also took a picture of back of the baggie of Skittles I bought today. It’s beeping basically because Mars moved Skittles to Wrigley’s and so now the barcodes don’t match up. Some of you are going to have Skittles made by “Mars” and others will have Skittles made by “Wrigleys”.

Here’s a coupon you’ll want to print for some possible FREE Skittles starting Sunday!

There is a manufacturer coupon on the Target website for $1/2 Skittles, with NO logo. Skittles, which are made by Mars, will be 2/$1 after in ad coupon, so that means (2) FREE Skittles! 🙂

***DEAL IDEA***
Buy (2) Skittles 2.17oz 2/$1 (with in ad coupon)
-$1/2 Skittles bags 1.8 – 2.17oz
= FREE!

Thanks! Also will be a great free filler. I love how you linked the Target q to the page it was actually on so I didn’t have to hunt through them. You are awesome!

It won’t be a filler if you use the manufacturer coupon though. Just so you know.

If you hand the coupon after all other RR’s and MQ’s the MQ will only attach to one item and you have a free filler! Always works with $/2 q’s at my stores!

How can you use a target coupon at Walgreens? Doesn’t it always print with a little target logo on most of their coupons?

It’s not a Target coupon, it’s just on the Target website.
It’s a MQ on the Target website and there is not a logo.

I tried this deal last night when the sale just started and it does not work, the coupon would not accept either manually or when scanned for the wags, due to it does not recognize it as Mars

I’m confused by this – I didn’t think Skittles are a Mars product but a Wrigley product. What am I missing?

I checked my skittles too, and it said Wrigley too, I wasn’t sure what to do, so I just paid and left.

Skittles at my local stores all say Wrigley, not Mars.

Help! I tried to use both the coupons pictured above on the skittles. The manufacture q went through but the ivc beeped…the back of both bags of skittles read: distributed by Wrigley’s, nothing about Mars. Any suggestions?

Wrigley is part of Mars. Did this deal today.

Haven’t tried this deal, but the Wrigley “About Us” website says “Wrigley is headquartered in Chicago, Ill., and operates as a subsidiary of Mars, Incorporated.”

If it’s not working right, it’s not supposed to. Even though the Q doesn’t say Target, since it’s on the Target site, it’s obviously meant for Target. The machines are beeping because it’s not the right store. Trying to ‘do’ this deal is an example of coupon fraud, especially now that we all are aware there are problems with it. Maybe the managers are pushing it through, but if it’s beeping, there’s a reason for that. I’ll save myself the embarrassment of the dreaded beep, and use the coupons how they are supposed to be used.

It’s not fraud! Target puts regular Mfr. coupons on their site all of the time. The in store Walgreen Q works fine it’s the actual skittles Q that’s beeping and the reason is because the bar code don’t match. I think it has something to do with what was already posted above. That some skittles bags say Mars and some say Wrigley. That ones that say Mars are working fine because the bar code matches. The ones that say Wrigley have an “old” bar code…I’m assuming here!

Tried today, Bought 6 skittles, even though it beeped it still went through when the manager saw the back saying Mars, going back tomorrow to buy more. It should not beep, they input it manually and the only thing your paying is the sales tax, not Free. which six bags came out to 19 cents.

Bree, its actually from couponnetwork.com, but just on the target site, therefore it is a MC and can be used anywhere. Its beeping because as I realized yesterday, its the wrong size. Its supposed to be for the big bag not small ones. 🙁

There are (2) different coupons. One if for the big bag but that’s not the one I’m writing about. the one I’m writing about is for the 2.17oz size (little bag). It’s beeping because as I wrote in my update – Mars (who owns Skittles) has moved them to Wrigleys (which they also own). So some bags say Wrigleys others are upc for Mars.

I think the Q is coded for Mars, I have bags of skittles that say Wrigley and the printed Skittles Q bar code doesn’t match the bar code on my bags of Skittles.
