IMPORTANT UPDATE – Crayola $3 Rebate

by Christie Bisbee on August 2, 2010

One place you don’t want to be calling today is Customer Service at the Crayola Rebate Center. After waiting on hold on (3) seperate occasions for over 20 minutes each time, I was finally able to get someone on the phone to answer my questions.  Apparently they got swamped this morning with people calling about the rebate. So here’s the deal…

*They intended for the Rebate form to be limited to one per household. However, the Rebate forms printed yesterday and today don’t specify that.

*So if you purchased more than one YESTERDAY OR TODAY ONLY, you can send in the rebate form and your receipts and they will honor one of each kind of marker or two of one kind of marker.  You can send them in the same envelope.

*Changes are being made to the rebate form so it should state “1 Per Address or Household” as early as tomorrow.

*Copies are acceptable so a photocopy of your original receipt is ok.

If you have any other questions about the rebate, or are interested in listening to their very soothing hold music for 45 minutes, you can reach them at 1-800-998-8769.

Thanks for posting this.. I just came over to try to find some info on this because I was going to go back for more today if anyone knew if they’d take more than one form. Lo and behold you just posted something on it! 🙂 Mine does say “duplicate submissions will not be honored”, but I couldn’t figure out if they meant duplicates of the same rebate form.

Mine didn’t ask for a UPC…is that correct?

No UPC needed. Just the Rebate Form & the receipt.

Kristin – They said they’d allow more than one per household but I don’t think I would risk (5) of them. I would probably limit myself to (2) of them. She said they would honor one of each kind of marker or two of one kind and then it became sort of vague. You could buy both on one receipt or buy them separately, either way would be ok and send it in one envelope.

i just off the phone with crayola rebate center after a 10 minute wait, and the woman said it is one per household. i explained i had seen on a blog that if you purchased yesterday or today they would honor more than one rebate and she stated that was wrong, that it is limit one per household. just what i was told

Kristin – Don’t know what to tell you. I just know what I was told, which is also what Mary was told over at Hooked On Bargains HERE.

Thanks for checking into this. I was wondering… ’cause that was a VERY vague rebate form!!!

Thanks for clearing that up. We were wondering the same thing, I even had hubby read it twice. I also have decided I am old and need to buy a magnifying glass just to read coupons and MIRs haha.

Anyway, to ME a duplicate submission would be just that, two exact submissions, like with the same receipt.

What I did was copy both receipts on the same paper and since they were bought the first day, I am sending all that in together.

I am glad that I did not purchase more when I went to WG today.

I filled out my forms Sunday night. I did mine in separate transactions just in case. Even though no wording about more than 1 per household I kind of figured that to be the case, so I filled them for 3 different addys – mine, sis’s & mom’s. I will end up giving a set of markers to my nephew for Christmas. 🙂
