Walgreens Clearance: Tide, Gain & Purex!

by Christie Bisbee on July 11, 2012

WOW! I received an e-mail from reader Alisha telling me about her fabulous Walgreens clearance finds and I definitely wanted to share it with you all.

Next time you’re out shopping be sure to check the clearance section at your store for marked down Tide, Gain and Purex products! Tide is the only item that has a coupon to pair with it (that I know of!) however, these prices are amazing even without coupons. 😉 Plus I think there might be a $1/1 coupon in that Purex 2ct package!

Walgreens Deals
Buy (1) Tide Ultra Plus Bleach 56oz $2.74 (Reg. $10.99)
$1/1 Tide Detergent, exp. 7/31/12 (P&G 07/01/12)
TOTAL = $1.74!

Buy (1) Gain Original Fresh 63oz $2.74 (Reg. $10.99)

Buy (1) Purex Complete 2-in-1 2ct $.24 (Reg. $.99)

(Thanks so much Alisha :)!)

I was the person who emailed Christie this pic of my great find. Btw, I found this at my local wags in Issaquah (located about 20 minutes east of Seattle off I-90).

Yes the coupon found inside the Purex is for $1 off any 1 FULL size Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets product. The coupon expires DECEMBER 2011 though!

@ Karen, did your coupon you get in yours expired too? I was thinking of contacting the company and telling them the coupon that was in my purchase expired and ask if they could send me another. Alot of companies will send you (either mail or email to print) coupons when you contact them about problems or you want to thank them, etc.

ALSO when I was grabbing these detergents I saw ALOT of other great clearance items…like Revlon Silk hair color (which there is a current coupon on them. Cant remember what insert or what the coupon is because I already used it at Target last week. I think its a $1/2), and other brand name hair color which I know there are current coupons for which I calculated out in my mind would be less then a buck if I got them but I didnt want to get blonde hair color as my hair is dark brown! LOL

I learned to bring my WONDERFUL coupon binder into stores with me every time I go because you never know when you’ll find a good deal & YOU KNOW you have a coupon for it! Thanks to having my binder with me yesterday I was able to make this detergent transaction a total of $1.46 (used 3 $2RR’s & the $1/1 tide. Bought the Purex as a filler for my 3rd RR)

AAAAARG! IT IS EXPIRED, but caalled customer service and they r sending me some coups! We r close to border here in NM so these detergent deals dont happen. Still, great clearance deals!

Funny- NO ONE buys the blonde colors here either!

I am in Illinois and those items don’t have those kind of prices on them. I am very happy for you and your great find!!! I also take my binder with me everywhere I go because you just never know!!!

Honestly, I had to look at the back of the top shelf to find them. It was almost as though someone was hiding them…like they hid them so they could get their manu’s or something! LOL And yes, I love the Seattle area…so many different things to do here! What city in WA were you living in Jennifer?

At that price I can only imagine they (detergent) will never hit the shelves. They are probably well stock in the warehouse so the employees can get them even cheaper with their discount… 🙁

I was thinking the same thing. If I was an employee, I would buy these before they ever hit the clearance shelf. How can you lose for that price plus employee discount???

When I worked as a checker at a local grocery store, they required us to wait 24 hours before grabbing any clearance so it lets customers get a chance before the greedy employees take all the good finds…just an FYI if you guys are concerned!

I live in Illinois too and our clearance is like $0.50 off to $1.00 off. Lucky you!

I was not as lucky as a few of you on the laundry soap, but my walgreens did have Cascade marked down to $3.99 and there is a $1/1mq in the July P&G insert, making for a pretty good price on Cascade. This is however the powder, not the liquid. I cannot remember the size of the box, but it is a decent size.

Unrelated to cleaning products, I found Clairol haircolor marked down to ONLY $1.00 each. There were also mq’s in the July P&G making them FREE!

Great finds!! I’m never quick enough to catch those great deals. I see the tags where they once were, but always miss out.:( WTG!!!

The Wags around here does the clearance where the product used to be on the shelf as well as on the end caps where they have 2 endcaps dedicated to clearance. 1 endcap is 50% off reg. price & the other 75% off reg. price (not sure if other Wags outside of WA state does both too). I think the clearance section gets overlooked cause its in the back of the store & if they leave the product that they are putting on clearance where it usually would be in the store it goes faster… just my 2 cents thought. 🙂

If it wasn’t for the woman in front of me at the checkout having a cart FULL of the Tide clearance (she had at least 10 of them), I would have never went back & saw them so I feel quite lucky cause I’m like the rest of you…I never find deals this good for ANYTHING my family has to have 🙂
