Big Walgreens Clearance Find Round Up!

by Christie Bisbee on March 29, 2012

Next time you’re in Walgreens you may want to keep your eye out for these clearance finds! The clearance toys could make for some fun Easter items.

Disney Bow-Tique Bubble Tea Party $2.49
Halo Action Figures $5.99
Lite Sprites Play Set 3.74 – $7.49

Be on the lookout for some AWESOME prices on Nintendo DS and Wii games!

Nintendo DS Sonic Rush $4.99
Nintendo Wii Luxor $4.99

Would your little guy or girl like to receive a video game for Easter? 😉 At 75% off this price can’t be beat! We don’t have a Wii (we are Playstation gamers at my house) but if I did I would have snatched that up for myself.

There is also a pretty big selection of pet toys up to 75% off!  My favorite clearance item so far is this Color Explosion 3D by Crayola which was $11.99 now marked down to $1.79. That’s a HUGE savings without even needing a coupon!

However, there is a coupon for the Bayer Advanced which means you can grab some for just $.29. Here’s how…

Walgreens Deal
Buy (1) Bayer Advanced 24ct $2.29
$2/1 Bayer Advanced Aspirin Product, exp. 3/31/12 (SS 12/11/11 R)
Total = $.29!

Lastly I wanted to throw in this DiGiorno pizza picture because it’s such a great price! There isn’t a coupon out for this item either but it makes for a wonderful filler item. The Four Cheese Pizza 9.2oz size is marked from $3.59 to $.90!! Wow! There’s a catalina deal for these but it’s not available at Walgreens (I tested it ;-)).

If you see any other clearance finds at your store be sure to let me know. I love seeing what other stores have marked down plus I’m sure other readers enjoy it as well.

(Thank you for the pictures Renae, Lisa & Julie!)

DO NOT BUY THE Waggin Train Treats!!! They are made in China and there are various reports of SICK and DYING dogs and puppies. Be looking for a recall soon.

Thanks for the head’s up TIffany. We got our dog some and she became violently ill with diarrhea and vomitting.

My word, hadn’t heard the Waggin Train problems! That’s horrible!

So Waggin Train has been replaced by hopefully harmless 75% off dog toys.

Its the chicken jerkey variety, not all of them. If you look on the package it says made in china on those, the others are not.

We raise chihuahuas and try to stay on top of the alerts. Kat, There are actually two varieties, not just the chicken jerky. We always tell our clients to give boiled chicken as a treat and to stay away from packaged treats….better safe than sorry. We lost 5 puppies during the IAMS pet food tainting.

Read all labels. There are a lot of treats out there that have great sounding and looking packaging, but when you read the back, it will say made in China or made in China for xxx company in New York or somewhere.
It’s tricky.

It’s quite simple for me actually- if I won’t eat it, my dog isn’t allowed to either. I can’t even find the “ingredients” page on the Waggin Train website.

Like @Tiffany said, we usually give our dog the meat we used to make soups with, or freeze-dried liver treats MADE in the U.S.A with only ONE ingredient being the liver.

Thanks you Tiffany for posting this!
Cheap dog treats are NOT worth the $129812983 vet. bill from effects from the treats, nor is it worth putting our baby through that much pain because of it.

Those Lite Sprites are awesome for little girls. I bought some for my daughter and for the gift stash. I gave them to one little girl recently and she LOVED it!

I found a bayer advanced aspirin (any size) printable coupon for $1.00 at the following link

It makes the aspirin a little cheaper! 🙂

Where in Walgreens do they carry the Wii and DS Games?

Reply

Suzan March 29, 2012 at 7:06 pm

Most Wags have the games up behind Photo, if they have not moved them to a clearance end.

Thanks for posting this!!! My Walgreen’s didn’t have them signed so I simply went off of your post and found the items. Much to my surprise they actually rang up on clearance!!! I got 3 Bayer at 2.29 (-1.00 mfg from rp? and -1.00 In store coup) total of .29 cents each!!! I also scored the Color Explosion….the last two my store had, also not signed but rang up at 1.89 DOUBLE SCORE!!!! I didn’t find any video games at my store though 🙁 maybe tomorrow!

My Walgreens also had steak and cheese jose ole chimichanggas (sp?) for 35 cents. I know I can’t find these anymore at the commissary so I bought the whole box.
