How do I get a coupon book? Is it something I have to sign up for, or do I just pick one up at my local Walgreens? Thanks!

Hello! I just wanted to let everyone know, to double check with your local walmarts in your area. My walmart allows me to use ANY other stores coupons as long as walmart has the exact same items. PLUS, they GIVE you the store coupons back!!! You can continue to use them over and over til they expire! I went to walmart yeterday in Godfrey, il, and used target and walgreen coupons stacked with manufacturer coupons and got so many things free and almost free! Its awesome!! Anyway hope it works for other people! =)

I think your WM is doing it wrong. We are only allowed to use competitor coupons if there is a stated price. like the Walgreens in ad coupons, as long as it gives a price (Dawn .79), we can PM. But if its an amount off (Dawn .50 off), we can’t. We do take catalina’s as long as there is a manuf remit address.

the kotex coupons will match with my 3 $2.50/2 catalina coupons… not sure when they expire, but I don’t think anytime soon 🙂

If you dont have any more coupons for cottonelle you can still print a 50 cent one here http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?bt=vi&tqnm=qj1tdcw41685089&o=55011&c=KC&p=cRdOCWhv (its only letting me print out one per computer)

Where do you get the August coupon books?

Reply

Lillie July 26, 2011 at 7:43 am

They are right inside the door by the ads. If not just ask the cashier to replenish the supply. Usually there are oodles and each register has a few just in case. Some cashiers are really good about helpin out the regular customers and letting you know when there is a coupon in the book if you’re buying the item. Get friendly with the staff. Go to the Cosmetic counter to check out – it’s usually less busy and less hectic and these cashiers have extra training because they have been employees longer so really know the system (sometimes better than the assistant managers that are basically in training and are usually gone within a few months.

If the q for kotex is $2.00 off 1. Then is the 7-31 add wrong? 2/$7.00 less coupon of $2.00 equals $5.00. Wouldn’t you get $2.00 off each and the total would be 2/$3.00?

Reply

Christie July 26, 2011 at 12:18 am

You are right it’s $2/2. It’s a lot of typing, which requires a lot of coffee to get through. LOL. 🙂

Thanks for all the hard work. Much appreciated by my family and friends.

I went to my local Walgreens and the cashier said they considered the coupons in the monthly booklet to be manufacturer coupons and wouldn’t let me combine it with my other manufacturer coupon. She said I can only combine manufacturer coupons with the walgreens coupons in the weekly flyer. Is this true? Is it addressed in their coupon policy?

Where do we find this coupon book?

When I went to use my precise tylenol coupon from walgrens monthly booklet and stack it with a manufactures coupon the clerk said I couldn’t stack the monthly coupon booklet coupons with other manufacture coupons because they are both manufacture coupons. He told me they were not store coupons and that this was coming from corprate.

Nicole July 26, 2011 at 1:14 am

Also I forgot to ask how can you use two coupons from the monthly booklet in a single transaction if it says “one coupon per customer per offer”? The coupon for the cottonelle in the august list said it was only $1 off so I’m assuming Jamie meant to use two Wags coupons. I’d really like to do this deal and would appreciate any help.

Sheri July 26, 2011 at 2:42 pm

you dont need to clip 2 walgreens coupons. i had been doing that and felt like such a fool when the cashier told me i didnt need 3 coupons from the booklet when i was purchasing 3 samy products this month. they just scan the coupon once and it takes off the coupon amount for each eligible item. for example, i purchased 3 samy hair products and she scanned the $2/1 coupon one time and on the receipt it showed that $6 was taken off. hope that helped..

I forgot to mention- the specialty coupon books such as the Diabetic or Allergy, etc. will be back in the Pharmacy area.

Can anyone actually confirm the cottonelle register reward deal? I checked coupon network and the offer says print by 7/29? I also have not seen any catalina’s promoting this to confirm it myself as I am a cashier at Wags…

Reply

anna July 26, 2011 at 11:24 pm

This is what it says on the offer I printed from couponnetwork.com (catalina):

Purchase requirements:
buy cottonelle 12-pack toilet paper between 7/8 &7/31

buy (2) & get $3.50..or..buy (3) or more & get $4.50…coupon off your next shopping order

all items must be purchased in one shopping order limited to product in stock no cash back offer expires 7/31/11

My store was out today.
What can you do.

Reply

mis July 29, 2011 at 8:18 pm

many stores don’t put them out until the coupons are valid, so I’d try back on Sunday. The coupons should also be available to print on the Walgreens website, but I would try to get the store copy instead of wasting ink!

Mindy July 27, 2011 at 8:13 pm

BOTH Kotex coupons are for $2/2.
