Wow is all I can say on this deal. I was thrilled to find that the Almay Eye Makeup Remover (which is my favorite), and the Almay make-up remover towelettes are included in this deal. That means you’ll actually get paid $.81 to buy them even with NO coupon!
The $2/1 Almay Cosmetics, Walgreens Spring Beauty Guide coupon worked for me in every store I went to including those with new and old scanners. However, with the new scanners they had to be scanned like 10 times to finally work but they did. Also the liquid eye make-up remover and the towelettes both worked with the MQ coupon as well. There is a picture on the $1/1 of eye make up remover pads so obviously Almay intended for that to be the case. I luckily had NO problem stacking coupons for these products.

This is rather bizarre but if you can’t find the Plackers try the snack isle. I found them hanging on a display, right next to the popcorn. Maybe they figure that popcorn gets stuck in your teeth and you might need some floss handy? I don’t know, I thought it was rather a strange place to put them but it did make me laugh!
REACH DEAL
I couldn’t find any REACH crystal clear toothbrushes today to do this deal. I guess the early bird gets the worm and I have other priorities early on Sunday mornings so no toothbrushes for me! Oh well, I’m so happy with my Almay I don’t much care. 😉

I found a GREAT deal on the AirWick FreshMatick motion sensor air freshener! They are 7.99, but are buy one get one free. Since I bought two items, I used two coupons- one for $4 off, the second for $3 off ( not sure of which Sunday flyer these came in, as I store mine according to isle). I got both of these items for a TOTAL of .99 cents!! whoo hoo!! 😉
I was beginning to wonder about the Reach toothbrushes — haven’t seen any of those in at least a month of looking. I’ve been to different locations and even grabbed the guy putting up the ad stickers to see if maybe I had overlooked them. There wasn’t anything on the shelves to indicate they’d ever been there, so I say “hmmmmmmmmm.”
I missed the Almay deal, but I’ll be back!
I had trouble finding these at both of my stores this morning, but when I went back later this afternoon, they had magically appeared…weird!
Found the Tena pads on sale for 6.49. Used the 2.50 off coupon and received a $10 RR. $6 moneymaker!!!!!

It did but the cashier put her finger over a certain place on the coupon for it to scan. I couldn’t tell exactly where but it was down by the barcode.
Many of the coupons have two barcodes on them and it screws things up at my store. Sometimes, covering up one of the barcodes allows them to scan the coupon.

I don’t think they have any of the Reach toothbrushes anywhere I’ve looked for months and I can never find them! those little rascals are hiding out in storage somewhere I guess!
I’ve learned that my store doesn’t always put everything out. Look above the top shelf where the dental care items are. Mine were in a ziplock baggie. Our dental care items are on the back wall. If you have a newer store, it may be different. hth
For ONCE my store had a stockpile of reach toothbrushes, and I only printed/clipped enough for one transaction because my stores seem to always be out of the good stuff. Oh well! Its always a gamble for me as Wags is a 20 min drive.
did the coupons (both mqs and spring beauty ones) beep for you at all? One always beeped for me; I tried it at a couple different wags.
Nope – remarkably neither beeped! My guess is that my area has finally programmed the Spring Booklet into its system so no beeps! 🙂

Will the RR print for any Reach toothbrush or does it have to be the kind on for $.99? My store only has 3 of those. Doesn’t help me!!!!
It is for any reach toothbrush. If you buy 3 you’ll still get a RR, so go ahead and buy the 3 and it’ll still be a money maker, just a slightly smaller one.. 🙂

I had a beep on the Spring Beauty Book. The manager said the coupons were downloaded to their system with a 3/16 expiration date… So, he had to go in the back and recode them?!
Anyway, it worked.

I purchased a Garnier Fructis Shampoo and a conditioner each with a bonus travel size attached (these were smaller size – 2/$7 regular price). My cashier scanned the barcode on the shampoo bottle itself instead of the overwrap holding the bonus and my $5 RR printed. $1 per bottle plus bonus is a sweet deal even without a coupon.
Is the floss included in the R&R deal for Reach? Plenty of reach toothbrushes but no Almay products!! (Plenty of the coupon books though – weird)
For the almay, I thought it had to be an item reg price of $7.99 ot more for the RR deal. Is that not the case?

No – there is no $ amount. The ad just said (1) participating product. However, there was no way to know until this morning if they would include the eye makeup remover, face wipes, etc. They did so YIPPPEEE! 🙂

Tried to do the Almay deal. Was shown that the q in the Spring Book says MQ on the back. Manager said that I could only use one.
Next store, cashier says that make-up wipes are not a cosmetic product!!! I disagreed with her. OH, for putting on make-up it’s okay, but to take it off it’s not?? She then allowed it.

I found out the two stores near me (in Tampa) don’t even carry Almay products anymore!!! Found toothbrushes at both but no Almay.. None. How can I find out if any of the stores near me carry it, so I don’t have to drive to each of them? Thanks!

The 7 stores around me are out of the reach toothbrushes too. One good deal I found today was Zest body wash for men. They are buy one get one half off. Just so happen the bottles were pre package with two 18oz bottles. so I got 8 Zest body washes(2 in a pack) and used 4 1.00 off coupons from todays paper and spent 3.40(i also used a 3.00rr in the trans)
I went to my Wags at 7:00 A.M. today lol. I got the reach toothbrushes and the AlMAY make up remover wipes. I was not sure if they were part of the RR but need some anyway. The price was 5.99 and 30% off made them 4.19 minus 2.00 Q 2.19. Sweet Deal!
End Result at Walgreens today–$101.04 in products-used $76.82(includes RR from first transaction) in coupons–paid a total of 24.22 between the two transactions-got back $13 RR(2nd transaction) so everything cost me $11.22.

My store wouldn’t let me use both coupons on the Almay product and I wasn’t in the mood to fight for it so I only got $2 off. Better than nothing besides I spent $22 in RR’s and $12 out of pocket and received $26 RR’s so I really can’t complain to much.
DH & I tried at 2 different stores to get the reach toothbrushes with a printed $1 cpn. Neither store would let us do the deal.
I got FREE cream of wheat today.My store has 3 small boxes with 3 instant packs in them . There are two differant places to get coupons on the coupon data base. Two coupons each so 4 free boxes
I bought 4 packs of Chex mix and they rang up for $1.00 each so they were free with the $4 off 4 Q
So Christie, how much Almay did you get? I ran there at 6am on my way to work today, and did 8 transactions real quick! I am hoping there is still some stuff left so I can stop by after work, even though I ran out of manufacturer coupons, with the Wags coupon you can still get great deals. At the store I went to, the Wags Q wouldn’t scan, so the clerk just reduced the price of each item by $2. I was worried that may affect the RR, since it knocked the eye make-up removers down to 2.19 but it didn’t affect them at all!
I went to 4 stores and bought 7 products, so not as much as I would like to but I’m out of coupons! I’m patiently waiting for the coupons I bought from ebay to arrive. I want to pick up some more for family, friends and donations! 🙂

I am also having troubles with my Wallgreens checkers. I feel something has changed…memo from the top maybe, telling them to look out for us? The whole vib is different. One checker, who was always great and never had problems scanning or anything, is now looking over my coupons as if they are not for the product I am buying. After a long time in line I just asked him “so what’s up with my coupons today?” He said something happened but didn’t want to go into detail. He then called over a manager because my candies from todays purchase (2/$1.00 mars candies)were free. He asked her if I could get them because they are coming up free. ????? Never was a problem before. And I had about 20 things in my cart I was purchasing. Just wondering if others are feeling this. I still love my store though 🙂
I was expecting the last airwick coupon to beep, but it didn’t because it rang up full price and then the register took off 15.98 at the end (I bought 4).
I also bought the Almay eye make=up removers…didn’t have any MFq, justs used the Spring Beauty Book.

I was just at walgreens and the cashier would only let me use one coupon for the almay said that they were both mq’s. Shouldn’t you be able to use both the mq and the spring beauty guide coupon?

Did you pay with a reach RR? because that would cause it not to print… otherwise you SHOULD have received a 2 RR for buying 3.

What is up with those ‘new’ scanners. It seems like the cashiers are having an even harder time, getting coupons to scan. I was at Walgreens last week and the cashier commented that the new scanners were supposed to work better, but are not. At a completely different Walgreens that I went to this morning, almost the same scene with the cashier having a very hard time getting the new scanners to scan the coupons.
I must say, great deals this week though. I took advantage of the Almay, Plackers, Reach CC toothbrushes and Chex Mix deals. Paid 2.68 (incl tax) and got $11 back in register rewards. 🙂

First my disclaimer, I did not clean the store out of any product while doing my transactions and I did them at two seperate Wags although most were at one. I won’t list everything out as it will take too long but here is the skinny on it.

If recover $5 RR that didn’t print, I got paid 1.02 after tax (before tax $17.50) to buy $355 in products
I did find the Reach toothbrushes and got 4 even though I didn’t have any coupons for them, needed them for a service project my girls have this week. Also the (add $5 is in regards to a RR that didn’t print but I called corp. about getting from my Almay this morning.)
I did find Children’s Advil on Clearance for $3.59 and used a $1 off printable from when they had the pedicare deal with the $2 off from Infant book to get it for $.59.
I did get 6 of the Celadrin for my husband, it was too awesome a deal not to stock up on.
My Walgreens in NW IN wouldn’t let me use both Almay coupons. The clerk said the one in the spring booklet was also a mfg coupon.
Tip: Last week when the Irish Spring deot did not print the RR the manager did an exchange on them. He returned them and then re-bought them. At the end of that trans the RR printed. You might want to see if that will work for you.

My wags manager said that I could not use the almay beauty ivc because it said “Not Valid with any other offer” on the back! did they not code it into their system? Maybe I’ll have to go to a different wags tomorrow instead. I’m bummed out that I didn’t just void the transaction and go back tomorrow or something. but I always go to that wags so don’t want to be the customer that sticks out lol.
oh yeah, and the almay were ringing up BGLP too.. but that’s not fair. Last week I went and bought some with my MQ and it worked when I stacked them.
picked up the Vitamins and Supplements booklet tonight at Wags with over $40 in Wag coupons in it that expire 4/30. We will see if it comes in handy over the next couple weeks on stacking to match any sells.
For the Almay products – in Onalaska, WI the cashier could not get the beauty booklet coupon to scan (regular mnfr coupon worked fine). She tried twice and wouldn’t go through. Then she tried typing it in with no luck. She read the back and it says mnfr coupon and said she could only take one coupon. I was bummed. For some reason she tried a 4th time and it worked! Yeah! I did a second transaction and same thing – took it on the 4th attempt.
I went in and just did one big transaction — I only had one Almay coupon (more on their way from ebay!) so I kept it simple and did one transaction. Got: 9 Bugles/Chex mix (accidentally got 9 instead of 8 oops!), Almay eye shadow, 2 Zone Bars, 2 Trident, 2 Snicker eggs, 4 Reach toothbrushes, 1 Plackers.
Used $7 in RR, paid $2 oop and left with $11 RR. 🙂

Do you not have to use a filler item to cover using 2 almay coupons on 1 product? I recall having trouble using 2 coupons before from a previous beauty guide but I am thinking using a filler solved the problem (can’t remember for sure). I know you usually don’t have to do that with Wags Q but because it does say MQ on it, I thought you had to.
My cashier had the reach toothbrushes at the cosmetics counter so you might ask about those.
I got the $7.99 B1G1 Airwick Freshmatics with 2 – $4/1 MQ so these were totally free..yeah!!
I bought 5 of the Colgate Pro Clinical that were on clearance for $1.29 (and lots still in stock) and used 5 – $1/1 MQ that were in the Winter D&Y magazine. These MQ say Colgate Total but went thru with no beeps for me.
I haven’t seen the Spring Beauty Books yet 🙁 but I got several Almay eye products at $5.99 (after 30% off) minus the $2/1 MQ plus the $5 RR was still a money maker.
The Suave RR and Garnier Fructis RR had not been working at my store earlier in the day…but when I checked out, they both printed just fine.

turns out it didn’t print, and it didn’t start unil 3/27 so manager was kind enough to print out an extra RR… but then it caused me to forget using my coupons and my almay coupon so I lost $3 for my scenario lol… oh well, I love having a great manager. thinking about making this particular wags my regular wags now. 🙂
Found a HUGE moneymaker at my Walgreens. The Tena 42ct Untra Thins were actually clearanced for 3.25 and still produced the $10 RR!!!
Does anyone know if the RR will still work if you only buy three of the Gillette razors for 29.97? I would not normally pay this much but a lady at my church wants to do the deal and I am helping her out with coupons and I want her to be prepared before she gets to the store.
I think you can buy 2 of the 9.95 and one of the 10.95 to get just over teh $30 limit. (?)
I was at my local Walgreen’s yesterday and purchased the green Method hand soap. I didn’t notice it until I got home, but it rang up for $1.69 and still produced the $2 RR. I went to another Walgreen’s and it rang up for the advertised price of $2.99. So I am not sure why it rang up cheaper at one store and not the other, but thought some of you might want to try it out. This is a great week for me at Walgreen’s. I haven’t had much luck with transactions at my brand new Walgreens, but it’s probably because I’m a Wags newbie and not familiar with all their little quirks. I have ten $1.00 off 2 Mars Easter Products coupons. Since the Snickers eggs are 2/$1.00 am I going to have a problem going in and buying 20 eggs, using 10 coupons and only paying sales tax? Are they going to look at me like I’m a thief, or refuse to take my coupons, or call over a manager who will take me out to the parking lot and shoot me? I’d like to know ahead of time, as I have to drive 13 miles one way to get there, and that seems like a long way to go to get shot.
just buy something else with it like the plackers flossers. I could not find the snickers eggs at my store so I was bummed. but it’s a legit coupon for a correct item so they technically shouldn’t give you a hard time…

Last week they didn’t have it and the cashier took my number and called me later to say she had one for me – how nice is that! Also found lots of Reach toothbrushes but had used a bunch of my coupons last week – bummer!
I went today and purchased the Almay make up remover. I not only got the register reward but also got 5.00 off any Depend product. If anyone has those and wants to trade, I would LOVE these. Went to Wags today – I first had the cashier do a price check to see if the Almay face wipes and a bonus size of the eye make up remover were bogo. They rang up as bogo. I then did the transaction again with only the regular size eye make up removers, (there were no more of the face wipes or the bonus size eye make up removers). These did not ring up as bogo! It was the exact same product as the bonus size removers, but normal size.
I realized it after I paid…noticed that the cashier missed one of my $2 off wags q’s from the first transaction, because she had to manually put it in and only took one off. Then on the second transaction it didn’t ring up bogo. Manager was confused, sometimes they act like they know nothing about their own q’s. It seemed like I needed to pass an act by congress to get my $4 back, so I left. Cashier nor the manager could figure anything out =-( I’m over it!
I seriously doubt if they would let me walk out the store owing them $4, so why do they give us a hard time when they owe us?
I went to store 1: I only purchased ONE eye remover. used both coupons and confused the poor man. The manager had to come do it and got so frustrated. He told me that the coupons exceeded the total amount ($4 in coupons, $4.19 product) which it didn’t. So finally he just adjusted the price to $2.19 and deducted the mq.
So I decided to go to store 2 tonight. I purchased the eye makeup remover and eyeshadow. I had 2 MQs and one IVC, so should have taken $8 off the total. The checkout girl told me the IVC (which it STATES on the front of the coupon) is a MQ and I could not use both. There was no manager in the store so I just purchased both for $6.66 and left. I’ll go back on Wed to talk with a manager.
Yeah, the manager told me that the $2 Q from the Beauty Guide was a mfr and couldn’t be used with another Q.
I got 6 air wick automatic spray for free, they had tons, guess they stocked up for the sale. And then I did the deal with the almay makeup remover the coupons gave me a hard time.
They called a manager and he put his key right into the keypad and re rung the transaction and it took just fine. I did this twice to get 2 $5 RR. Paid .49 each transaction. At least they didn’t say I could not use both coupons. So I am happy!
I’ve used the almay Wags Q the previous week along with my manuf Q and had no problem at all they all rang just fine, but ohh boy this week every store has given me a hard time they all some how agreed that the wags Q cannot be used with the Manuf Q and only one store manager was kind about it didn’t throw a fit and price modified the product, but the only had 1 pk of make-up remover, but the rest of the stores I went thru I just could make the managers understand their own policy and decided to cancel the transaction (I really don’t need it anymore make-up remover but next week ad is not so great so I was trying to roll some of my RR’s) but that was my experience today I’m in Houston if that helps anyone 😛
I finally went out to get this deal today and every store I went to was still pretty fully stocked. I couldn’t believe it. After 3 stores I got 3 eye maker remover, 2 foundations, 1 eye shadow and each time these were either money makers or free. I think I’ll go back tomorrow and stock up for my niece in college.

Don’t know if this was already mentioned somewhere, but my store was out of the Crystal clean toothbrushes too- but I noticed they had the Reach by Design on clearance for 1.09 and they still printed the 4 RR, also they had 2-packs on sale for 1.29, not sure if the RR will print, but w/ the Q, still a great deal to get 2 for .29!
As for Almay issue, I tested to see if coupons in Spring Beauty Booklet was Macufacture coupon. I used a coupon from Spring Beauty Booklet first, and the receipt shows “STR IVC”. When I used a coupon from newspaper insert, the receipt shows “MFG CPN”. It means that the coupon from Spring Beauty Guide booklet is Walgreens Store Coupon. I do not understand why Sales Associates denied to use both. Not pleasant experience. Did anyone contact corporate about this issue?
My WAGS used their coupon against the eye pad purchase but said my newspaper one didn’t qualify as it was for “cosmetics” not skin care. Never mind that the WAGS one form their beuty book had the exact same wording and it accepted that. I still paid $2.49 and got $5.00 back.
