Updates From the Field 3/6

by Christie Bisbee on March 6, 2011

Here are some updates from my trip to hopefully make your trip go a little smoother!

KISS NAILS DEAL

I was thrilled to find SO many great items that you could grab for practically nothing with the Kiss & Broadway Nails deal. I found nail kits as low as $1.49 each and great french manicure kits for $3.49 each.Β  Even the lashes are included making those only $1 after the coupon.Β  If you are interested I suggest just printing the following coupons and just having some fun with it!
-$1/1 Kiss Lashes Premium Eyelash Product PRINT
-$2/1 Broadway Nails Artifical Nail Product, Any PRINT
-$2/1 Kiss Artificial Nail Product, Any PRINT

ALWAYS PADS & LINERS DEAL

You all know I always say I don’t like to take the last one of something, well, this time I had to because there was only 1 left! Geez! It was actually sort of hidden in the back of a bunch of other pads. So if you hid a box of pads at your Walgreens, sorry… it may be gone. πŸ˜‰Β  Good thing this is a monthly deal. Hopefully they’ll get more in stock before the deal ends 3/26.

SWIFFER DEAL

The prices on this were ALL OVER the place. I’ve written about crazy price differences before. It’s nuts to me when one store is like $.75 more than another store for the same product when the stores are only a mile apart. So, be sure to double check the prices in your scenarios. Be ready to throw in another Febreze set & refresh or another P&G qualifying product if you need to.Β  You could do (4) of the refills and use (2) B1G1 coupons and get a good deal on those too! If you find your prices for the refills are around $3.74 (cheapest store I found), you can…

BUY
(4) Swiffer Wet Mopping Refills 12pk $3.74 (sale price)
Total = $14.96
USE
(2) -B1G1 Swiffer Sweeper Wet Mopping or Dry Cloth Refill – 02-27-11 PG x3/31
(2) -$.50/1 Swiffer Refill 2-27-11 PG x3/31 or P&G Everyday Savings

Total = $6.48 (Get Back $3 Register Reward P&G)
= $3.48 or $.87 EACH!

PEDIACARE DEAL

I really hope you all printed the $3/2 coupon, because it’s GONE. It’s just another example why you want to print these things early.

I found prices all over the place with the Pediacare too. The Infant fever reducer was $5.99, $6.29 and $6.49 at the stores I went too. Geez! That still makes them FREE with the $3/2 coupon, but it was like a game to try and guess what price I’d find at each store.Β  Of course, I choose to buy (2) at the $5.99 price. So, just keep that in mind as you shop.

How did your shop go? Find any great deals? Let us know! πŸ™‚

I found Wonka dark Chocolate bars on clearance for $.70. I bought 3, used 2 $1/1 Qs from today’s insert, and used the third as a filler! This situation was better to me because I avoided the register beeps and got a .10 filler to use πŸ™‚

Jennifer – Oh my gosh, I did too! I just posted it. They are SOOOO good! I already ate one. LOL.

The Tampax RR did not print. Everything else was ok, BUT I had a register issue with my 3 Walgreen gift cards with which I tried to pay for my purchase. You’ve got mail, Christie! πŸ™‚

Just a thought. You can get a raincheck on the pediacare coupon. All the pediacare infant was gone. So, I’ll be able to use the coupon later. πŸ™‚

Good luck with Pediacare – and the overage made my Coffee-Mate habit almost free! http://www.iheartveggies.net/2011/03/walgreens-week-3711.html

My Always RR didn’t print either. The manager said it was because I used a MQ, but I know I’ve done it before with no problems. UGH! I may try later this month. We’ll see…

I had trouble with Always RR as well. The manager said it was because I did not get the right package????

I found the photo in the Wags flyer really helped with finding the correct Always pads – it’s a specific kind and size and the bag is purple instead of the usual blue.

I made a mistake on the PediaCare (but got it straightened out okay): the 1 oz looks EXACTLY the same as the .5 oz, and one was put back on the shelf in the wrong spot, so look closely.

Pediacare was $7.99 in the only store I went to today.

Pediacare was $7.49 at my store

I had problems with my always too. Has anyone returned these before? I think i might later today or tomorrow…kinda disappointed.

It was $7.99 at my store. Boo. Why such a huge difference. I am in Upstate NY.

My scenario got all screwed up today when the Walgreens did not have what I wanted to complete the swiffer deal. I had to sub in a pack of Mr. Clean sponges to hit the RR amount and was bummed since I, of course, did not have a coupon for this product with me. Oh well–used this instead of buying a filler item.

PediaCare was $6.49 so still free for me. The clerk did comment about how I always save so much money. The thanks goes to Wild for Wags since I could never figure out what I was doing wrong before with coupons and RR’s.

FYI: 4 of the Broadway and Kiss items came up on sale but two of mine did not. I thought the total was high so i looked at it when they gave it to me.

I had to ask my asst mgr to check in the back for my Always products. He did and they had two! πŸ˜‰

My pedicare was 6.49 for the infant and up to 7.99 for the cold one. My store was stocked and I got what I wanted.

there was Pantene hairspray on clearance for 2.74. So, after the $2 P&G Q i got in the mail it was only .74 πŸ™‚

Thanks for helping me to save money!

The PediaCare printed off a $1 off one Children’s Advil coupon! Hopefully there will be a good deal on it soon πŸ™‚

hie…i am new to walgreens, if someone could help me plsss…can i use regsiter rewards to buy milk?

Reply

Jen March 6, 2011 at 9:04 pm

Pretty sure the rrs indicate no dairy products unfortunately

Reply

Amy March 7, 2011 at 3:00 pm

I had one cashier tell me that if you buy something along with the milk you can use them. For instance I ran in one day because I needed milk and bottled water. Because I had the bottled water along with the milk the RRs worked. I hope it works for you too.

I found Natural Instincts Hair Color on clearance for $3. I bought 2 and used 2 $3 off coupons. I was happy enough with that but then I got back a $3 RR from Natural Instincts πŸ™‚ Any info on this? It was a nice surprise.

Wooo hooo! The pedicare printed out a pedicare catalina for 1.50 off pedicare! So it went like this… Buy 2 pedicare (one transaction) use 3$/2. Then i got a 1.50 catalina for any pedicare. I also got the advil coupon that printed as well. My pedicare was 5.99 so i did each transaction seperate (bought 2) and with the extra catalina coupons i bought a whole bunch more for free!

Will the MQ for Tide Stain Relise work, since in ad the one on sale is 10 pk or 20 oz and Q is for different size?

Reply

Sue March 6, 2011 at 9:07 pm

Pediacare was $7.99 at my stores in central MN

Reply

Karin March 6, 2011 at 10:35 pm

My store has Pediacare for $5.99-$7.99. All the $5.99 were already gone, but I really wanted to stock up the medicines for my kiddos, so I picked up $6.99(fever reducer) ones & $7.99(cold) ones. Thank you so much Christie for all you do.

No good deals at my Wag today πŸ™ They were out of Always. They were out of the Jimmy Dean bowls & sandwiches (2/$4, 2-$1 Mg Qs bringing them to $1 each). And my $10 RR for buying 2 HP inks (which I needed anyway, it was just convenient they had the RR) didn’t print. Rowr.

Heck, the Herbal Essence I had a Q for to get free wasn’t even free. It was $3.99 & the coupon was only good for up to $3.50 πŸ™ Can’t complain too hard tho on a 49c bottle of shampoo.

Loved the SoftSoap 2/$7 ($5 RR) deal tho.

I also got the $1.50 off Pediacare and $1 off Children’s Advil catalinas both times I did bought the medicine, and it printed off before I paid — I didn’t even have to pay with a credit card! Just a quick note on the milk. Even though you can’t use RRs for milk, I have used milk as my only filler before (when I had a coupon for every other item and wanted to use a RR), and it’s worked fine. I wouldn’t try to use it alone, but with other items, you shouldn’t have a problem.

I did the Pedicare deal today too…..but my Walgreens couldn’t adjust everything to make it come out to free. My really, really nice manager just scanned a 5th one and I ended up paying .90 not even the sales tax here.

Can anyone please help me with Softsoap coupon…..

I totally heart Wags this week. I got over $66 worth of stuff for less than $14 today. I could have spent even less, but I used Dawn dishsoap for my fillers instead of something super cheap. None of my coupons beeped, and my cashier was even nice to me today πŸ˜‰ Hooray!

Thanks for all the match-ups and heads-ups on printing Q’s ahead of time. You rock Christie!

Went in looking for the Always liners but my store did not have ANY of the RR ones marked so it was a crap shoot to find them, then found out that they hadn’t even stocked them yet and it was 11am on Sunday!

Robyn March 7, 2011 at 1:42 pm

schick slim trim did not print rr. I talked with Catalina about this and they could not find the $3 rr when you buy one in their system.

Reply

Christie March 7, 2011 at 2:00 pm

Robyn – It’s in the ad. Did you show your manager the ad at your store and request the $3RR?

Lori March 7, 2011 at 2:39 pm

Is there a specific zip code for the KISS coupons…I’m not seeing them??

Reply

Christie March 7, 2011 at 2:54 pm

The one for lashes use 90210 or 33460. The other 2 are direct links so they should take you straight to print. πŸ™‚

Lori- no, I had two toddlers with me and was late picking up my third from therapy and did not notice till I got home, probably because 5 other coupons printed and I figured they were all there. I think I’m going to email wags.

Wished I had read comments BEFORE I went to the store. No RR for the Always pads that I bought. Although $0.66 is a great deal to pay for 2 Pedicare, 1 Always pads, and 1 knee highs. THANKS!
