Walgreens: Updates From The Field 7/15

by Christie Bisbee on July 15, 2012

Here are some Walgreens updates from my trip today. πŸ™‚

UPDATE (7/16): Looks like the Bottled Water is now just printing ONE Register Reward!

BOTTLED WATER DEAL: If bottled water is on your shopping list you’ll be surprised to know that the 24pks of water are printing not one $1 Register Reward but TWO $1 RR! That makes each 12pk only $1.49 EACH.

The brands of water are regional but I heard from Kari B. that the Ozarka brand water is printing the additional $1 Register Reward,Β  from my buddy Carie R. that the Ice Mountain water is working, and from Scott J. that the Poland Spring is too. I can tell you from my own experience that it’s working on the Zephyrhills 24pks. So, here’s what the deal looked like for me…

Walgreens Deal
Buy (1) Botteled Water 24pk $3.49
Get Back (2) $1 Register Rewards
= $1.49 EACH or about $0.06 a bottle

LISTERINE DEAL: The only Listerine that worked for me was the Ultra Clean one pictured in the ad. The Zero, Total Care and Advanced all rang up different prices and did not produce the Register Reward. There wasn’t even a spot for the Ultra Clean on the shelf, I guess it was too new. However, they did have it in the back. So, if you don’t find it on the shelf be sure to ask.

EOS DEAL: If you purchase the EOS lip balm that are 2/$6 with a $4 Register Reward this week, be sure to look for some that have $2 off EOS lotion coupons attached.

I wouldn’t plan on using the coupon on the Lotion during this shop (the non sale price is too high), but hold on to it for a future sale or deal.

Also, if you purchased the EOS shave cream last week I wouldn’t use the $4 Register Reward from that deal to pay for the EOS deal this week. Too, risky in my opinion with the Register Rewards being the same dollar amount. There’s a good chance another Register Reward won’t print. I didn’t try it because well – like I said, not worth the risk to me. (Hey $4 is $4! ;))

MITCHUM DEAL: I was pleased to see that the Clinical Strength Mitchum products were also included in the $1.99 price this week. So after the coupon that’s only $0.99 each which is a great price for a Clinical Strength deodorant.

Walgreens Deal
Buy (1) Mitchum or Lady Mitchum AP/Deo 1.5 to 2.7 oz $1.99
$1.00 off any Mitchum or Mitchum for Women product
= $0.99 EACH

So how did your shop go? Find any great deals? Let us know!

(Thanks Kari, Carie & Scott! :))

Walgreens Updates From The Field (5/27)

by Christie Bisbee on May 27, 2012

Here are some Walgreens updates from my trip today. Hope they help & enjoy! πŸ™‚

SKINTIMATE DEAL: Turns out the Skintimate Shave Gel isn’t included in the Register Reward deal even though it’s advertised and pictured. My buddy Mitchell over at Frugal Finders found this sign at his store. I purchased the Skintimate Cream (the one circled) and it rang up $2.99 and I did get my register reward. Unfortunately, I only had the coupon with me that was good for the gel not the cream so make sure you have the coupon that includes the cream.

Walgreens Deal
Buy (1) Skintimate Shave Cream $2.99
$0.55/1 Skintimate Shave Gel or Cream Shave, exp. 6/23/12 (SS 05/13/12)
Total = $2.44, Get Back $2 RR
= $0.44 EACH

OSCAR MAYER DEAL: Yay! The Oscar Mayer deal worked for me! I purchased (5) of these – a mix of ham and turkey and got my $4 Register Reward, making them only $1.70 each, which is an awesome price. You can’t tell from the picture but my store had about 7-8 of each kind.

If you want to be sure it’s available in your area, I would suggest heading over to COUPONNETWORK to check based on your zip code that this Catalina deal comes up for you at Walgreens. This is also a GREAT way to roll those small $0.99 Register Rewards since there’s no coupon for this deal, it’s a great filler.

$4 RR WYB (5), $3 WYB (4), $2 WYB (3) Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh Shaved Meat 9oz 2/$5
Buy (5) Oscar Mayer Deli Shaved Meat 9oz 2/$5
Total = $12.50, Get Back $4 RR
= $1.70 EACH

TECNU GEL: Look for this one in the First Aid Isle by the anti-itch products. It was on the top shelf at my store and it took me forever to find it. I’m 5’2″ so things on the top shelf are literally over my head! πŸ˜‰ This is a great product to have around so I’m super excited to try this freebie.

YOUTHEORY COLLAGEN: This is actually found by the vitamins. Don’t ask my why when I think of Collagen I think of skincream, but these are pills found in a box in the vitamin isle.

ECOTRIN: This deal worked like a charm and my store was very well stocked! I plan on getting a couple of the BC or Goody powder for me later this week. Those small pks are perfect to keep in your purse and I swear it’s the only thing that helps my headaches.

VANITY FAIR NAPKINS: This was my only failure today. My store was totally out of Vanity Fair Napkins. I’ll try back later in the week, but if they don’t come in, this is a perfect item to get a rain check for. Walgreens rain checks normally don’t have expiration dates on them, and the insert coupons are good till August.

So how did your shop go? Find any great deals? Let us know! πŸ™‚

Walgreens: Updates From the Field Week of 5/20

by Christie Bisbee on May 21, 2012

Here are a few Walgreens Updates from my trip today.Β  With everything going on at home it took me an extra day to make it over to the store but here’s what I found…

REVLON DEAL: I found quite a few clearance Revlon products at my store. Although these did not ring up as an additional 30% off, they did work for the Register Reward deal! There aren’t any coupons that I know of for this but you can still grab a great deal if you find the same at your store…

Walgreens Deal
Buy (5) Revlon Custom Eyes Mascara $2.29
Total = $11.45, Get Back $3 RR
= $1.69 EACH

Buy (2) Revlon eye crayon $2.49
(3) Revlon Custom Eyes Mascara $2.29
Total = $11.85, Get Back $3 RR
= $1.77 EACH

KOTEX DEAL: Not only did we get another $1/1 coupon in our paper yesterday making these FREE, we also have a $1/1 U by Kotex Sleek Tampons or U by Kotex CleanWear Pads. So you can get even more FREE Tampons. This didn’t roll for me today.

WET ‘N WILD CLEARANCE: I also found Wet ‘n Wild foundation and powders on clearance. If you got the $1/1 Wet n Wild Product from, exp 6/30 (RP 5/13/12) you may want to bring it with you to see what you find. Plus there are still Wet ‘n Wild products that are priced at just $0.99 till Saturday. Even if you don’t see signs, always have them do a price check as some stores never put up the monthly deal signs.

SHEETS STRIPS DEAL: Remember that there are $1/1 coupons in the boxes of Sheets Sleep Sheets Strips 10pk, making these a $1 money maker! These were a little hard to find. At one store there was a special display for them. At another store they were actually along the wall with the weight loss products.

So what great deals did you find this week? How did your shop go? Let us know! πŸ™‚

Walgreens: Updates From the Field 5/6

by Christie Bisbee on May 6, 2012

Here are some Walgreens updates from my trip that hopefully will help your trip go a little smoother!

LYSOL NO-TOUCH KITCHEN SYSTEM: Great news on this one! Because the $1 Manufacturer’s coupon didn’t run in the paper for this Walgreens has increased the Register Reward to $2.50! If you have the $3 coupon & the $3 MIR from All You, that makes this only .49!

Walgreens Deal
Buy Lysol No-Touch Kitchen System 8.5oz $8.99
$3/1 Lysol No-Touch Kitchen System, (ALL YOU Mar ’12) or (SS 04/15/12)
Total = $5.99, Get Back $2.50 RR
= $3.49, Send in for $3 MIR Lysol No-Touch Kitchen Starter, x5/9/12 (ALL YOU Apr12)
= .49 EACH!

Now if I can just find what I did with my April issue of All You. πŸ˜›

KELLOGG’S NUTRI-GRAIN BARS: For whatever reason the Apple flavor are NOT printing the RR. So you’ll want to stick to the other flavors, like Strawberry for this deal. I’m sure it’s just a mistake and they didn’t program the UPC for the deal. (Thanks Victoria & Frugal Finders for letting us know!)

T.N. DICKINSON’S WITCH HAZEL: Be on the lookout for a Try Me Free peelie on these! If you find it you’ll have a $4 Money Maker after Register Rewards. Also these are located where you’d find first aid products not by cosmetics. The Witch Hazel in the cosmetics section has different packaging.

Walgreens Deal
Buy T.N. Dickinson’s Witch Hazel 16oz $4
Total = $4, Get Back $4 RR + Submit for Try Me Free Rebate
= $4 Money Maker!

DAILY FEATS COUPON: Great news on that Daily Feats $5/$35 Walgreens coupon! It actually worked for me on a $35 purchase BEFORE coupons and RR. Plus when I logged into my Daily Feats account it told me I could request it 2x per month if I had enough points.Β  So here’s a deal idea for you!
