Grateful Giveaways #2: Jakks Fun Toys of Summer

To kick off the summer, I’m excited to once again be part of the Grateful Giveaways group, bringing you 9 awesome giveaways for more summer fun. Watch for a new one every hour on the hour!

Next up is a giveaway for the kids:Do you remember the summer days of your childhood? It probably included long days spent playing outside, and that probably included the classic Big Wheel Trike for more than a few of us!

Jakks Pacific makes both classic toys that we grew up with – like Big Wheels and Cabbage Patch dolls (a personal favorite!)– and some of the most popular toys of today – including the Disney Fairies collection and Monsuno action figures!

Entry is simple! You just need to answer the question below by leaving a comment on this site. You can even gain up to 3 bonus entries for doing each additional item listed (just make sure that you leave one entry for each one – up to a total of 4 comments.) As a reminder, comments left on Facebook, Twitter or other posts will not be counted.

And I remember being about 1st grade and trying to ‘ride’ his big wheel down about 3 concrete steps in front of another house on the military base we lived at. Needless to say, it didn’t work and I busted the front tire / fork off the handlebars of his big wheel. :((( Best summer memories are of being able to play outside with kids in the neighborhood (no matter where we lived) from the time we got up until it was time to catch lightning bugs with what seemed like no grown ups around. It was AWESOME!

My favorite summer memories are when me and the cousin with the big wheel would go with my grandpa to Missouri for 2 months for 3 summers. Awesome memories were made, and I will never forget 🙂

Can’t remember for the life of me what color it was, but I used to love riding that thing down the hill leading to my house (deadend street, and more wipeouts than I care to admit to LOL). My favorite childhood summer memory would have to be going to the Elks Lodge BBQ. Don’t remember where it was exactly, just that it was surrounded by woods, we’d play egg toss, water balloon toss, horseshoes, and eat copious amounts of corn-on-the-cob!

We barbequed, had friends/family over, and we always stayed up late after watching fireworks playing boardgames.

My favorite summer memory would be all the time we spent at my mom’s friend’s lake house. It wasn’t what you’d normally think of, a regular house at the lake, it was a bare-bones place. Only one room had air conditioning, there was only one small bathroom, and it was a crappy place at best. A lot of times we would sleep in a tent outside. Even as crappy as the house was, it was a blast to be out there!
