I found a $1 coupon in the Luster instant whitening toothpaste 3 pack box I bought today. They are really cute little travel size toothpaste tubes so I bought 4 boxes of them–so now I have 4 of the $1 coupons to use this week!

Has anyone tried the Luster toothpaste? The Colgate optic white toothpaste really hurt my teeth/gums. Wonder if this will be better.

Pam, I have used the luster white sensitive. It doesn’t hurt my teeth and they are usually sensitive. HTH

Hello Everyone I know this was off topic, I just discover something awesome. I have the Lysol no touch hand system which just finish boo. However I went to replace it and discover that you can refill it with other dishwasher liquid for less. I use ajax which I got for a $.79, thought I share this. Instead of buying the refill for $3 buy one ajax or dishwashing liquid of you like than can be use multiple times.

Toya,

I only got the bathroom no touch because they were really cheap months back, but was not looking forward to buying the refills. How do yo get the “lid” off? I am afraid that I will ruin the entire thing.

Annie: Use a cheap plastic catsup, mustard, etc. dispenser, insert the tip inside and you can do it in a minute, no need to remove the lid. HTH. 😉

I use a large plastic syringe to refill mine w/ soap. I fill it up quickly w/ this method. I now just need to go get rechargeable batteries for it because it eats up Duracell batteries pretty quickly.

I also bought several of the bathroom ones months ago and I have been using them in the bathrooms, laundry and kitchen. Since I couldnt figure out how to take the lid off without destroying it, I had my husband drill a small hole at the top of each container so I refill them through there, not a big deal!

For the kitchen I can always find a good deal in dawn or gain, and for the bathrooms… guess what I have been using! Bodywash! We have been getting a lot of great deals and I said why not!

Toya, thanks for your idea! They want $3.49 for the refills here in Richmond, VA . . . just too expensive. It’s cheaper with coupons to buy the whole unit, and I have two now, so I’ll be refilling it with cheap detergent or liquid soap from now on! Thanks again.

I have been using the flat side of a butter knife or a flathead screwdriver to pop the top off. It works best on the “short” side of the bottle. Also, beware that the kitchen/bathroom units are not interchangeable, and i hated the kitchen soap for washing dishes, so I put it in the bathroom. Overall, I do really like these things. Oh, and i have been refilling them for over a year and never broke the soap bottle, so don’t be afraid to try it!
