Hi Chistie, big question is almay a pg brand. I would like to buy the gillete fusion proglide razor system this week since I have a $5 coupon, but would like to use a $5RR from almay but I’m not sure if it’s going to print the $4 rr?

Reply

Maria O. April 3, 2011 at 3:20 am

Yolanda: If you look at your $5 RR for Almay, says Revlon, and Revlon it’s not a PG product. HTH ๐Ÿ™‚

Taji April 3, 2011 at 12:31 am

I just want to make sure that with the Herbal essences scenario I will be allowed to use one B1G1 and 1/1 coupon. I thought I wasn’t allowed to do that. :S

i have done this more than a few times and never had an issue.

Some stores will allow it and others do not. One coupon is on the FREE item and the other is on the item you are paying full price for. Certainly worth a shot! ๐Ÿ™‚

I ALWAYS DO IT AT MY WAGS AND HAVen’t had a problem either. my store they take RR’s for anything i do not have to pair up a revlon RR with revlon product they are very good about this and i have had one or two beeps but they always just punch it in for me. thank goodness i have a good wags store. i am new at this so i’m not sure about proper coupon manners.however, i do know not to take peelies off a product i am not buying.

“i do not have to pair up a revlon RR with revlon product”

No, no one is TRYING to pair up RR and items from the same manufacturer. If you use a RR from a manufacturer on an order that has an item they manufacturer in it, it will work. However, if you were trying to get another RR on that item, it almost always will NOT print. If it does print anyway, this site will report that it is “rolling on itself”.

Wags actually has some good deals this week and I hope I can get them all. Our store recently hung tags at all the resisters that read “2 transactions per customer per day”. They also have these new scanners that almost never scan the coupon and many cashiers than question my coupon. It isn’t even scanning the Cat’s their own machine prints out! I wish we had more than one or ours would at least become more coupon friendly rather than getting harder and harder to shop at ๐Ÿ™

Bree April 3, 2011 at 3:22 am

These scanners are crazy. I am now having issues with every coupon I bring in, including Sunday Paper coupons. I noticed the cashiers are now all putting their finger over one of the scan bars. Don’t know if it helps, but assume it has been working for them better than not. Seems funny that products go through their system very well, you would think the same technology would be available for coupons. ๐Ÿ™‚ I think they need to get their $ back from the company who desiged these new scanners. ๐Ÿ™‚ lol

Deanna April 4, 2011 at 12:33 am

My cashier solved the problem and every coupon scanned like a charm – she folded the coupon in half so only the first barscan code was visible to the scanner. We went from every coupon beeping to every coupon going through on the first scan. It’s certainly worth mentioning to the next cashier about how easy a fix it was. I told her that I’m going to start handing over every coupon already folded for her! ๐Ÿ™‚

Christi please help. I am so confused about the “Target” coupons that everyone seems to be using. You have a link above for the Wonka to print, which takes you to Target site. When I have printed these off before they always say Target Web Coupon. I am in the NW so wonder if it is different here. Thanks

Reply

grace April 3, 2011 at 3:29 am

Not all of them say Target, 75% of them are Target or say Target, the ones that Christi links are manufacturer’s coupons and they do not have the logo. DId you print the Wonka one yet? I doubt it says Target because if it did Christie would not link it

Reply

Christie April 3, 2011 at 12:47 pm

This one has NO logo, it’s just a MQ, so you can use it anywhere! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Reply

Bryan April 3, 2011 at 5:23 pm

Is there a way to tell on the Target website which will print as MQ?

Reply

Bree April 7, 2011 at 5:16 am

Thank you for your reply. I was able to print it, off to the store tomorrow. My young son so loves these candy bars because he is looking for the Golden Ticket(promotion) ๐Ÿ™‚ Love Wonka lol

May not be right place to ask, if I buy a item using RR and return that will I get money back or it is treated as a Q and money is not given back?

Reply

Tiff April 3, 2011 at 12:17 pm

I think this is a YMMV. However they should give you what you paid OR your RR’s back so you can use them again on something else. ๐Ÿ™‚

Reply

Christie April 3, 2011 at 12:49 pm

In reality this is going to vary from store to store. You really should get all your money back because they’ve already sent it out and they are going to get paid on it.

Reply

employee April 5, 2011 at 2:41 pm

Actually as an employee of the brand your Q (whether MQ or RR) will not be credited to you purchase. If you read the fine print of a RR it clearly states that “Register Rewards must be forfeited if qualifying merchandise is returned”. There are some instances that the manager will not notice the Q and give you the full amount back. But keep in mind that keeping said rewards may result in the “cashier” being reprimanded for their actions.

I stopped by 4 stores on yest. and only one had nescafes:) It’s too early in the month for the warehouse to be out already!

Taji April 3, 2011 at 9:47 am

I am just heading out to wags, I found the B1G1 coupon for HE but where is the 1/1 coupon for HE from?

Reply

Melissa April 3, 2011 at 12:00 pm

I bought the Nescafes on Friday (after going to 3 Wags and they were all out)…and it printed $1.50 off 3 Nescafes, along with my $4 RR!

Rona April 3, 2011 at 12:41 pm

Ijust wanted to add that the Swiffer,Tide Release and Downy has 3RR and the Tide RElease has a 3.00 off in today’s paper, so if you buy 3and use 3(3.00 off) coupons you pay 3.00 and get 3RR back. I plan on adding that to my sceanrios today

tatyanna April 3, 2011 at 1:00 pm

just left Walgreens and did not realize you can not use a RR to purchase a similiar item from the same company (i.e., colgaqte,) and get another RR. For example, today I both 2 colgate toothbrushes and I had MQs and RR from last week where I bought Colgate tootpaste… and it did not give me the 2 RR for the toothbrushes. I gotta be smarter:)

Is the Nescafe deal regional? I live in Bothell, WA, and there is no tage on them stating there will be a RR.

Reply

Christie April 3, 2011 at 2:46 pm

I have yet to see a tag. But it’s worked for me at all my stores.

Reply

Melinda J. April 3, 2011 at 8:58 pm

I asked that same question of one of our cashiers here in Indianapolis. She said that sometimes they do not get enough tags (like for all the Cover Girl makeup that was 25%) so they put them wherever. When I did the protein bar deal a couple of weeks back, they didn’t have tags on it. I have a feeling that they don’t always tag things because they are detering people from getting deals on them. Or maybe they just don’t always get the tags in. I don’t know. I’ve had a tough time with Wags, so I’m going to try CVS more and see how that goes. Good luck!

I wish I would have looked here before I went to Walgreens this morning!

I still feel I had a great trip (on my blog here: http://livingonthecheap.blogspot.com/2011/04/walgreens-trip-4311-total-spent-1338.html), but nobody does it better than you!!

Thanks for posting these deals!

Mary April 3, 2011 at 6:20 pm

I didn’t have Nescafe coupons, either, but paying $4 for 4, and getting a $4 RR back still makes it free, which is good enough for me! Plus, I got the $1.50 off 3 catalina which will make it a Money Maker next time!

Reply

Pam April 3, 2011 at 9:18 pm

I found Nescafe coupons at http://www.mycouponhunter.com she has 46 left…

Reply

Troy April 4, 2011 at 5:00 pm

Could someone explain where the coupons are located? For example:

(1) -$.35/1 Colgate toothpaste 4.0 or larger 04-03-11 x4/23
(2) -$2/1 Olay Bar, Body Wash, In-Shower Body or Hand & Body Lotion 4-3-11 PG x4/30
(1) -$1/1 Wonka Exceptionals Bar, 3.5oz โ€“ 03-06-11 SS x4/3 or PRINT

In what ad do I find the Colgate coupon? I am guessing its in the 4/3/11 ad and it expires on 4/23 but I am not sure what ad. the Olay one, I am guessing is in the Proctor ad from 4/3 and expires on 4/30.

Then do the ads (i.e. Red Plum) say what date they are from or do I have to remember?

Thanks!

Reply

Christie April 4, 2011 at 5:19 pm

Colgate is in SS, And yes the RP and SS do say the date on the spine. It’s tiny print but it’s there. Once you see what it is, take a sharpie and write the date across the front, makes it easier in the future! ๐Ÿ™‚

What does SS, RP, PG, etc stand for?

SS=Smart source
RP=Red Plum
P&G=Procter and Gamble

FYI: At my local Walgreens the Colgate MaxFresh Clean Mint (green one) was on clearance for $1.99 and was printing the $3 RR. It was marked clearly as such on the shelf, too.

I paired it with my .75/1 coupon from this week’s paper (it must have been regional, most blogs are saying it should have been .35/1 instead) for a $1.75 moneymaker! I was thrilled. This is actually the toothpaste I prefer to use too!

So, be on the lookout for this way to make the toothpaste deal even better!

Nell April 5, 2011 at 12:11 am

So I get the Sunday paper every week, but I donโ€™t have the $0.35/1 Colgate Toothpaste, exp. 4-23-11 (SS 04/03/11) in my SS. Iโ€™m in Modesto. =(

Coupon 101 help please…

What does Q and MQ stand for? I haven’t spent much time couponing at WG and their RR seems, well, like a hassle but maybe worth it so long as they actually have inventory.
