What do you do with all the maalox? I love Walgreen’s too, but being fairly new to the coupon thing (less than a year) I still can’t bring myself to buy so much medicine that I know is just going to get wasted!

Have you had any trouble getting Wags to let you use that many coupons in your last scenario?

Reply

Beth Ann January 22, 2011 at 1:50 pm

@rebecca. as long as you have the same number of coupons as you do item then there usually isnt a problem.

Reply

Beth Ann January 22, 2011 at 1:51 pm

ohh but the difference in the last transaction is its 10 items 11 coupons.. only because 1 is a wags coupon and dont count toward the coupon/item total.

Christie January 22, 2011 at 2:00 pm

Hi Rebecca – Just like Beth Ann said (thanks Beth Ann!) the Walgreens coupons don’t count in your totals (they are in red).

Hi Denita – One thing I love about coupons is that it enables me to share! I often share stuff with my family members, friends and neighbors. And I also donate products to our local food pantry and domestic violence shelter. So I will probably keep (3) of the Maalox bottles and give the rest away.

I got the Maalox deal at Target. I wish I would’ve saved them now, but oh well! Maalox also has chewables so I got 2 bottles of liquid and 2 bottles of chewables. I can take some to work or give it family.

As if the stores are going to have that much Maalox and Gas-X,

I think the better method *FOR EVERYONE*, is to do transactions that have four Maalox, and two Gas-X. Sure you may end up spending an extra dollar each time – but there will be plenty on the shelf for others.

Joe – I counted over 20 bottles (which you can see HERE) of just one kind of Maalox at my store. Hope you find the same! ๐Ÿ™‚

amanda January 22, 2011 at 6:56 pm

on the scenarios, its showing you use RR towards the next transaction then also recive RR on the 2nd transaction.. my walgreeens does not give me RR on purchases if I paid with RR, im kind of new to this so I called walgreens corporate and they confirmed that if i pay for a transaction with RR, then I cant get RR back for future purchases. Does your store have a diff. policy and give you RR back for eligible items even though you may pay for the transaction with RR? ๐Ÿ™‚

Amanda – Try reading the Frequently Asked Questions HERE.

Can I use a RR I received from one item to buy another of the same item?
You can but then another RR will not print. However you can use a RR from one item to buy a different item (from a different manufacturer or for a different RR amount) that produces RR and that RR will print.

Denita,
I give lots of medicine away to my family and friends, who are always so thankful because they don’t have the patience or time to use coupons. You also might check into donating some to a womans and children’s shelter. I bet they would find that some of it comes in quite handy.

ooooh. ok, i see.. thank you!! i havent been doing the scenarios cus I thought my store wouldnt accept them. A few weeks ago when they had the kids vitamins for $5 then you got $5 back in RR, i used the RR to buy 2 bottles of pantene shampoo which i was suppose to get $2 back. but, i was told, if i buy items with RR i couldnt get RR back. so, im confused. but, hopefully i have better luck next time.

Amanda – If you have multiple stores in your area, try another store. Your store may have done something funky with the Catalina machines!

any printables for maalox or gasx preventable? I don’t have that many qs and would have to order from ebay get in the middle of week and most likely get burned liked I did on the sinex. The warehouse is low on stock and all of the wags r out and I am out 20 in profit and have 9 qs left.

Angie January 23, 2011 at 4:11 am

i don’t have ANY gas x Q’s but I do have 12 Maalox. SWEET!

Angie January 23, 2011 at 5:53 am

I just got back from Walgreen’s and they would NOT let me use my 6 coupons for the Maalox. First, the cashier told me it was “*Limit 1 coupon printed per offer” standing my ground I asked is it Per Transation? She looked like a deer in headlights at me. She scanned all 6 maalox and then scanned my first coupon and it said,” no such item purchased” She was unwilling to key it in and stated that most likely due to the Tax rate, the coupon amount wouldn’t go through cause it was trying to pay part of the tax? Finally told her to keep her maalox, Mind you I was just at the other 24 hour walgreens and had NO PROBLEM @ all and got my 10 RR’s. I’ll be going back to THAT one in the morning. I still have 6 coupons left, to good of a deal to pass on!

Did the Sinex MM deal roll into this week? IE: is the Sinex still ringing up on sale for $5 and printing the $10 RR wyb $20.

Reply

Lori January 23, 2011 at 9:06 am

I have two $10 RR from the Sinex Last week can I use them instead of the Maalox RR??
Thanks for your time.

Reply

Emily January 23, 2011 at 9:24 am

Lori, sure you can! You’d be able to have an even bigger mm!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Reply

Emily January 23, 2011 at 9:25 am

My store was ALL OUT of the sinex, and I have 10 sinex q’s!! ๐Ÿ™
It would be very nice if it was still ringing up for $5. D:

Angie, When I used the Maalox coupons this morning they said โ€no item purchasedโ€, but when they typed in the bar code (not just letting it pass through, actually keying in the numbers) the coupons worked. No idea why it wouldn’t scan correctly.

Reply

John January 23, 2011 at 10:40 am

How much is the Sinex selling for now?

Reply

Ashley January 23, 2011 at 11:21 am

I can’t fine the colgate q’s ๐Ÿ™ They are not in my 1/9 SS….is there another place I should be looking at?

Reply

Christie January 23, 2011 at 12:01 pm

ASHLEY – The it’s possible they weren’t in your paper.

JOHN – The sinex is reg. price $6.99 or $6.79 in my area.

EVERYONE – Yes, the Maalox may say “no item found” if your store has newer scanners. However, if they key it in manually there are no problems. (Dumb Scanners!)

Reply

Emily January 23, 2011 at 12:40 pm

OH, yeah christie, my store just got new scanners, and they’re REALLY nice looking too! The registers are different too, now I can see the items and coupons that they scan! ๐Ÿ™‚

Do you know if the Glad trash bags on sale include the forceflex? We recently had a $3/1 printable that I can use with the Wags Q! But only if it’s ForceFlex. Anybody know?

Reply

Brenda January 23, 2011 at 5:27 pm

Adam-
The regular Gas-X is part of the deal. The regular price at my store is $5.49 which means it should ring up at $4.12 this week. There were printable coupons available awhile ago for $3.00 if you still have them.

Reply

Mrs. Boggess January 23, 2011 at 7:21 pm

Gigi – Yes, the forceflex are also included. I bought some today. ๐Ÿ™‚

Did anyone else not get their $2RR for the Got2B? After I checked out I had to have a customer service rep refund/exhchange it and when she rang it up again (without the $2 Mfr.coupon this time) I got the $2RR.

Erin January 23, 2011 at 11:08 pm

I am new to this site and to couponing, so I was wondering how you guys find/get so many coupons for each item (ex: 7 gas x coupons)?
By the way, AWESOME scenerio! ๐Ÿ™‚

Is there anywhere in the Walgreens Coupon policy that states that I cannot separate my transactions to use a RR towards the next purchase? I had a manager tell me that today. I told him he was wrong and that I would bring him in a copy of HIS coupon policy next time I shop there. I just want to make sure I am right…

Reply

Christie January 28, 2011 at 9:34 pm

Nope, it doesn’t say anything about that in the coupon policy at all.
