$6/lb with the coupon.. super deal? If you say so.
Obviously, you did not see that she listed the 2 oz. size which is around a dollar if your store carries them. That is the good deal she is touting.
Actually, Lenore, I agree with Jeff. There are 16 ounces to a pound, so you would need to buy 8 packages (2 ounces per package) to buy one pound of Oscar Mayer cold cuts. $1 per package would equate to $8 per pound before coupon. Applying four $.50/2 coupons would take $2 off the transaction. That still leaves you paying $6 per pound.
Not trying to ruffle any feathers, but I think most can usually do better than $6 per pound at the deli counter. I think Jeff was just trying to point that out (but probably could have been a bit more tactful in his response).
These packages make 1 good sandwich, mabe 2 if you dont like much meat
