Here’s something different this year! Most Walgreens locations will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Only the 24 Hr locations will be open in case you have a medicine emergency or a last minute missing item from your holiday.

For those of you who continue to have issues stacking a true manufacturer coupon with a coupon from the Monthly coupon books, I suggest you look for this advertisement on the back page of the ad for this week. Notice anything interesting?
Right in the ad they are encouraging shoppers to come in and stack the “In Store Coupon” which is a coupon from the August Monthly Coupon Book AND the $.50/1 additional coupon savings in most Sunday papers. The ad shows a final price of $3.50 AFTER BOTH COUPONS.
I know many of you are told at your stores that the coupons in the monthly book can’t be stacked with a manufacturer coupon. As you can see from this advertisement on the back of this weeks ad, these are store coupons and you can stack them.
You can find more ads like these by clicking on “Wags Advertisements” under Categories along the right column of my site. I suggest keeping these in your coupon binder, just in case you need them!

For those of you who continue to have issues stacking a MQ with a coupon from the Monthly coupon books, I want to just point out this portion of this weeks weekly Walgreens ad. Notice anything?
Right in the ad they are showing you the “Instant Value Coupon” which is a coupon from the April Monthly Coupon Book AND they are telling you that there are additional coupon savings in most Sunday papers. Clearly encouraging you to use both!
You can find more ads like these by clicking on “Walgreens Ads” under Categories along the right column of my site. I suggest keeping these in your coupon binder, just in case!

Did any of you happen to see this ad in your insert this past weekend? If you did, this is one you’ll want to keep in your coupon binder forever! This ad is telling you to go to Walgreens to buy Dulcolax for $6.99 and use the $2 off Walgreens Instant Coupon Savings (which is in the Walgreens coupon in the March coupon book) and the $1/1 Ducolax Coupon from the actual insert.
That’s right, this is an advertisement that asks you to come in and stack a manufacturer coupon as well as a coupon from the March book.
Remember to bring ads like this one that encourage stacking to the store. It’s excellent defense if your store gives you a hard time. If your store refuses to stack the coupons, whip out the ad! Let all of us know of your success!

Did you get this ad in your Smart Source insert this past week? If you did, you’ll want to keep this one in your coupon binder!
Walgreens is advertising all the great deals you can get from the “Playbook” which is just one 1/2 of the January Coupon Book. One of the deals they feature is the Kraft Salad dressing. They spell out the deal for you. Buy the dressing at sale price, use a Manufacturer coupon FIRST, then use the coupon from the Walgreens Monthly Coupon Book.
For those of you who have problems stacking the coupons in the Monthly Book with a Manufacturer coupon, I suggest you keep this handy! I have shared various examples of this in the past. I created a category called “Walgreens Ads” where you can refer to these easily in my sidebar. Thanks Walgreens for constantly putting this in print. 🙂

Look at this ad that I was in one of my Red Plum Inserts this Sunday, November 21st! Those of you who have difficulty using a coupon from the Walgreens coupon book in conjunction with a manufacturer coupon will certainly want to see if your RedPlum had this advertisement.
Walgreens took out a 1/2 page ad telling us to come in and buy Pistachios and stack a manufacturer coupon from this insert for $1/1 AND the $.50/1 Walgreens coupon from the December coupon book. If you have this in your insert, just like the many, many examples of this kind of advertising I have posted on here before, I suggest you keep a copy in your coupon binder.
I have to admit this is a HUGE issue for me. When Walgreens advertises something I expect them to honor it. No one should have to go in and argue their case just so a store will honor what it has advertised. I don’t know if it’s a lack of staff training or if it’s intentional but either way it’s not cool.

UPDATE – If you didn’t get this in your inserts, Virginia at My Coupon Hunter has very generously offered to include one for FREE for Wild for Wags readers when you place an order HERE. This is very sweet of her because there are coupons on the back that she will have to sacrifice in order to send these out to you. After you place your order you will need to e-mail her (click on “contact” on her site to e-mail her) to request that the “Dulcolax Walgreens Ad” be included in your order. Thanks So Much Virginia! 🙂
Did you get this ad in your Smart Source insert Sunday? If you did, this is one you’ll want to keep in your coupon binder forever! This ad is telling you to go to Walgreens to buy Dulcolax for $6.99 and use the $2 off Walgreens Instant Coupon Savings (which is in the September coupon book) and the $3/1 Ducolax Coupon from the actual insert.
That’s right, this is an advertisement that asks you to come in and stack a manufacturer coupon and a coupon from the September coupon book. If your store does not allow you to do this, I invite you to show them this ad next time you have a problem. So, let us know if you found this in your insert too!

Here’s another ad you should keep in your coupon binder. This appeared in my 08-15-10 Smart Source insert right under the Zegerid OTC coupon. You can clearly see that this ad is encouraging you to use a $3 Coupon from this insert on Zegerid for the Register Reward deal currently at Walgreens.
I know some of you have been told that you won’t get a Register Reward if you use a coupon. We all know that’s not right and clearly based on this ad (and many others) not the way it’s intended to be. If you run into this situation at your store having copies of actual Walgreens ads can be very handy!
