-)If you were lucky enough to get the $5/1 Schick Hydro Razor coupon, good news for you, the $5 RR is Rolling! Of course we don’t know for how long. If it works for you too let us know. I plan to pick up more tomorrow (thank goodness I ordered coupons since I didn’t get them in my paper).

-)Some of you have e-mailed me about a B1G1 Soft Scrub coupon for the B1G1 Soft Scrub sale. None of my stores accept a B1G1 on a B1G1 sale. This is due to a problem with a similar sale involving Purex a couple of months ago. If your store decides it will accept this, then that’s great for you but since most stores don’t (since this Purex mess a couple of months back) I do not list it as a deal. Put simply, I will never encourage anyone to use a coupon that I think will not be accepted or is against the corporate policy as I know it. I want you to have a good shopping experience! 😉

I was lucky enough to get these coupons, but of course by the time I get to Walgreens they only have one left 🙁
It rolled for me!!! There were two left when I got there – all the way in the back, of course! I only had two coupons, so it was perfect! I bought a razor and infusium shampoo (only one left, and it was 99 cents instead of free :(). Paid $4.89 for that, and got another razor and eos shaving cream for 1.69! I left the store spending $6.58 and I now have a $5 and $3 RR!!! I LOVE THIS BLOG!!!

I tried the B1G1 Soft Scrub coupon at my store just to test for myself. it didnt work for me. I should have read this first before spending extra on something I really didn’t need. ARGH. Gonna make my bathroom sparkle, shine, and glimmer tomorrow since I spent the money. lol
South Florida, or I didn’t get the q…so mad, arrggg…I bought 4 papers too at $2 each!!! Hopefully, they will release more? I figure its to late to even try to purchase the q too. And, I have never bought before. I was on another site…seems like most ppl didn’t get this one…I wonder what State’s did? Oh well…Happy for you all who got it…have a great day.
Miami Herald got them but the Sun-Sentinel and the Post didn’t, total bummer!

What a Bummer- Here in South Florida, NO Schick coupons in Palm Beach Post OR Sun Sentinal. I can not find a Miami Herald anywhere around here. So that was a real bummer!
FYI, my store had a display of razors, the cartridges and the shave gel on an endcap at the back of the store in addition to what’s on the shelves.
What does “rolling” mean when you talk about the register rewards? I’m a bit new to this and I am still trying to learn the lingo. Thanks!
It means you can use the $5 Register Reward from Schick to buy another Schick and it will print another $5 Register Reward. This is highly unusual!
I was able to get a couple coupons from my papers and then went to the store where there was one coupon sitting in front of the razors! My lucky day…made money off the razors so was able to buy some extra stuff we were needing…I love going to the stores and finding coupons left by the coupon fairy! It almost makes shopping around grouchy and rude people tolerable.. HA..
evansville IN. Got it and Louisville Ky got it. I purchased 2 of each paper. they both had different Q’s in them.
I’m all the way out in Utah and we got it here too. I got a total of 20 inserts (I love my family!) but I’ve only gotten 4 razors so far. I figure that what I don’t find in Wags this week I can use at Target. They are a $1 MM with the Target q and GC deal too.
Didn’t read this before heading to Wags today. I used my BOGO Soft Scrub with no problem. Didn’t know it was against store policy. Christie, I happened to have both of my favorite cashiers including the one from the other night with my $1.50 off TWO cereals dilema that I emailed you about. I told her about the coupon attaching to both items in the coupon/item ratio. Both of them said they were glad to know, that everything they have learned about couponing at Wags has come from their customers. They really should educate their employees.
Hey Nancy, Don’t stress about the soft scrub. Your store may have decided that it’s not worth having to upset a customer or tell them no and to go ahead and take the coupons. I just don’t post any deals that I think you have a really high chance of being told no on. Lot’s of stores take B1G1 on a B1G1 sale and Walgreens used to before this Purex mess. I’m glad that the cereal mystery was solved! 😉

I am not much of a blog commenter but I want to tell you how awesome my WAGS is….they have awesome customer service. When I go in they actually do everything they can to save me as much money as possible. They even keep a box of clipped coupons and look through to see if they have any extra coupons that would save $! The customer service in this store is out of this world. They are so different than the store across town. I am very new to WAGS, but am loving the discovery and your site!! 🙂 I also told the ladies in the store about your site….they are so excited!!

Since I was out of town on vacation I was able to get these in the newspaper that I picked up! I now know what it feels like to have a hard to find coupon 😉
Does anyone know if the Shick RR’s from a couple of weeks ago ($3 & $1) can be used to purchase the Hydro Razor? Didn’t know if anyone had tried that yet. I know that normally an RR from the same company doesn’t produce another RR, but know that on occasion, as discussed above, that it does.

@ Maria: Yes, yesterday, I used my $3 and $1 RR from last week’s Schick deal to “pay” for this week’s Schick deal (along w/ other items) and the new $5 RR printed. No problem. Hope that helps.
I’m not sure if the Schick RR’s are still rolling today. Hopefully someone else knows.

Clearwater Fl here and we had the coupons in both papers!!
I asked about the soft scrub before I used the coupon (B1G1) and the checker told me it depended on how it rang up in the register. If the item rang up $3.99 and the second one rang up $3.99 and then the computer took the second one back off automatically for the free item (making it B1G1) then you could use the B1G1 coupon to make them both free. She said that some items ring up with the second item actually ringing up at a $0.00 price and then they will not allow you to use the B1G1 from the paper. Hope I did not confuse anyone! — Buy the way the soft scrub is ringing up in such a way that the online coupon worked on it so I got both free!
Schick Hydro’s still rolling as of 8:00pm in California!
Thank you Lisa for that answer, I was wondering the same exact thing. Always too scared to try it. Does anyone know what the Purex mess is about? I was just curious. I did use a few of the B1G1 when the sale was going on. I had asked the cosmetic lady, and she said they did except a B1G1 on a B1G1.
Purex didn’t want to reimburse them on any of the BOGO coupons. Just think of the amount of financial loss. I even called corporate today to confirm that this was still the policy. They confirmed for me again they don’t accept a BOGO on a BOGO sale. To quote the Walgreens representative, “If your store accepts it you got lucky”.
Rolled for me in NJ at 12:00….plus the Soft scrub! Woohoo!! I gave my cashiers both a coupon and they were going to buy one on their break!!
I have a question, when something like the Soft Scrub is BOGO can I use two $1.00/1 coupons. One for the one I am paying for and one for the one that is free? Sorry if this is a dumb question, Publix lets you but I wasn’t sure about Walgreens.
Not a dumb question at all! Most Wags will allow you to but there are a few that won’t. I’d give it a shot but it’ll be a YMMV.

The deal is still rolling in Texas. Just got two razor’s today. The cashier at Walgreens just let me buy one razor I had to go to the car and get my mom to buy the other one. She said that they will let you buy just one product per day when it’s a RR. Also, that they will have pretty soon cards to limit the amount of products bought per person.
I guess I have to get an undercover costume to buy 2. Maybe a wig, a hat and a dark pair of glasses ;-).

I’m very curious about the “PUREX” mess. How did Purex justify not honoring their coupon?
I don’t know the gory details but I guess it wasn’t pretty. I think Purex didn’t expect so many of their coupons to be redeemed but why put them out there if you don’t anyone to use them! You may still find a store willing to do a B1G1 for you as a courtesy but the official word from corporate (I just called again to confirm) is they don’t accept it. You can however buy 4 items during a B1G1 FREE sale, and use 1 B1G1 coupon. So you’d end up paying for 1 and getting 3 FREE.
